Naledi's eyes flustered open. Her head was pounding like she had been hit by a hammer. She looked around and realised she was sleeping on a small bed.
The door suddenly opened and in came a maid. The maid froze when she saw her, her hands started shaking.
" My...my lady, you're awake. I'll call somebody right away." Before she could say anything the maid was already out the door.
Naledi felt a gust of winds cutting through the halls and Cat appeared Infront of her door like a shadow.
Her eyes glistened with tears when she saw her. Before Naledi could react, she was already wrapped in Cat's arms.
" I'm so glad, I'm so glad you're okay." Cat said in a muffled voice, tears continued streaming down her eyes.
Naledi smiled gently, " Thank you." She whispered and leaned on Cat's chest. Others arrived a few moments later.
The news of their leader waking up reached the ears of everybody and the mood throughout the entire city became boisterous.
Naledi left her bed chambers and went out. What she saw was a massive city being built around a mountain.
This mountain was their bunker, it was a fortified mountain, runic arrays covered the entirety of it.
" Is..the war over?" She asked with confusion. Aira laughed," A lot has happened in the four years you were in a coma.
The war isn't exactly over but we did receive help." " Help?" She got more confused. Aira turned and walked away.
" Come." She called her. Naledi looked up,dark clouds covered the sky and snow fell gently covering the land like a white blanket for as far as she could see.
She followed Aira who led her to a huge palace like house built on the mountain. Inside she saw unfamiliar people.
Humans with different coloured hair, what surprised her though was their power. She saw four of them at the projection realm.
She doubted earth humans could grow so much in only four years which meant these people were Invaders as well.
Her expression changed, a dangerous aura radiated from her. Outside a snowstorm suddenly covered the entire region.
One of the four humans reached for his sword but the man who appeared to be the leader raised his hand to stop him.
" Greetings lady Naledi, we've heard a lot about you and what you've done for your people is admirable.
The human race needs more people like yourself." Naledi didn't respond, she just looked at him coldly.
" Oh where are my manners, my name is Frederick Volstone, son of Marquis Volstone of the Eternal Dawn Empire, pleasure to make your acquaintance."
The man outstretched his hand with a smile. Naledi felt disgust rise up inside her, then she turned around and walked off without saying a word.
" I'm sorry lord Volstone, she doesn't take kindly to strangers, I'll talk to her." Said Aira before running off after Naledi.
Frederick Volstone kept his smile until they disappeared then his expression changed and he scowled.
" Bitch, you'll pay for your disrespect." One of the other people, a woman with long silver hair spoke up.
" My lord, do you think she'll stand on our way?" She asked with concern. Frederick Volstone calmed down.
" It doesn't matter, all will be under the lord of Dawn." He smiled, " But to be sure she doesn't cause any inconvenience, it would be best to remove her."
The woman bowed, " it will be done.".

" Naledi stop." Aira shouted. Naledi continued walking. " You were very rude to our guests."
She turned and looked at Aira, " I don't trust them." Aira sighed. To be honest neither did she but they did save them.
" It doesn't matter, they saved us and the least we could do is be grateful." Naledi sighed.
"I'm not stopping you from being grateful, I'm just not going to pretend I like somebody I don't. They give off a..." She didn't continue.
" I'll be going back to my chambers." Just as she walked off Aira stopped her. " You haven't asked about him."
Naledi sighed, the snowstorm grew stronger, a tear trickled down her cheeks. Aira placed a hand on her shoulder then turned around and walked off.
Naledi followed her into a room filled with ice. On it centre sat an ice coffin. The moment Naledi saw it, her body shook.
Tears streamed down her eyes like rivers. They turned into snow and a mini snowstorm appeared on the room forcing Aira to create a barrier around herself.
Naledi closed her eyes and the snowstorm stopped but when she opened them, they were as cold as an iceberg.
She looked at Ndu lying in the coffin, his body was completely dead but she could actually sense his soul which surprised her.
The soul was trapped inside by her ice coffin which she can understand. The ice of sorrows can interact with souls to an extent.
This meant there was hope of resurrecting him in the future, she just had to find a way. " Call aunt Cathra please."
She whispered, Aira was confused but she called Cathra. " What can I help you with sweetie?" Cathra asked.
Naledi pointed at Ndu, " Can you fix his body?" She asked expectedly. Cathra sighed.
" I can't resurrect the dead Naledi." Naledi shook her head, " No, I just need you to regenerate his body."
She contemplated for a while. " That's possible but with my current power, reconstructing a dead body would take a long time and I won't be able to restart either his heartbeat or brain activity."
Naledi nodded, " That's fine." She stepped forward and placed her hand on the ice coffin, the coffin became more transparent.
Naledi couldn't completely remove it as it was the only thing keeping his soul from going to the underworld but she knew that couldn't last forever.
She would need to find a way to bring him back before then. Then she looked at Cathra.
Cathra created vines and wrapped them around the coffin. Life energy seeped through into Ndu's body.
Seeing everything had gone well she turned and left. " I will be in my room." They watched her leave.
Time went by and an entire day passed. The following morning when everybody woke up, they felt warm sun rays brushed against their skins.
The clouds above were clear and they could see the blue sky for the first time in four years. Cat looked up and couldn't hold back her tears.
----------------------------------------------------------
Naledi appeared thousands of kilometres away. She looked back at the direction of the city.
" This is for the best." She whispered, the sadness she had been holding back poured out of her like a flood.
Her tears created a storm that froze every living thing for tens of kilometres around her, then she walked off.

At the same time, Ved's egg cracked, the cracks spread like a spider web and the egg shattered. Out came a massive black scaly claw.
