Beast Evolution System: Devourer of Heaven

Chapter 220: Letters

" You want to be my mate?" She nodded. Ved thought he didn't hear her at first. He really did not expect this request.

" Why?" She looked at him with a straight face. " We're the only two dragons in this world, if and when I want an offspring it's only natural I would have it with you."

" Dragons can have offsprings with any race, surely you can find somebody else." She sighed.

"It's true that we're capable of mating with any species but the resulting offsprings would be halfbreeds.

If I want a pure dragon offsprings, you're the only mate I can have and since we're from the two dragons clans who split from the progenitor.

Our progeny will have a higher chance of having the pure bloodline of the progenitor." Ved sighed.

" Your reasoning is sound but I'm not in love with you." " In love? I see, love isn't a sentiment used by out kind to determine mate.

But then again your rules and reasoning have led to a more prosperous place than any I've seen any beast create.

If it's love you need to be my mate then I'll find a way to make you fall in love with me." After saying that she left.

Ved sighed with relief. ' That was strange.'

At the same time, in the city of Rakalam was a massive palace, on it throne room sat three thrones.

One blue, one white and the middle one was black, each throne was decorated by a sea of stars gleaming like gems.

On those thrones sat three extremely beautiful figures. Before them knelt another figure.

An Ahnunaki of lower rank, he had blue skin but his body did not have any of the starry markings.

" Speak " echoed a male voice through the throne hall as the black skinned man sitting on the middle throne spoke.

The kneeling man took out a letter. " Lord Elalum, Lady Anku and Lord Abal, this lowly one greet you."

The man raised both his hands and made a triangle with his fingers. The three nodded, this was a standard way to greet the noble class among the Ahnunaki.

" I bring a message delivered from the two rulers of the beast race." The man raised the letter above his head.

The white skinned Ahnunaki, the only woman amongst the three outstretched her hand.

The letter floated to her hand, she opened it and read it in a second. " What does it say Anku." Asked Abal, the blue skinned Ahnunaki.

" It's best you read it yourself, I warn you though, the content is quite amusing." She said barely holding back her amused giggles.

Abal took the letter and read through it. Unlike Anku he didn't hold back and laughed out loud.

His deep voice boomed through the hall shaking the bones of the kneeling man and the guards.

Lastly Elalum took it, however unlike the two he wasn't amused. Alalum had always been a stickler and more prideful than the other two.

He crumbled the letter after reading it and growled. " I will not take kindly to a little beast threatening my noble race."

He raised his hand, a star lit up on his body and a golden crystal appeared on his hand. This was the Ahnunaki way to deliver messages.

They didn't write on paper, they never even had paper throughout their entire history. " Send this to the beast race."

He gave the crystal to the kneeling man who ran out of the hall like his life depended on it. The same situation happened everywhere across the world.

The humans had more cities than others so multiple letters were received by them. Priest Methos was currently facing the son of a duke from the empire.

He tried to warn the man that interfering would bring disaster to the city but he refused to listen.

He had to delay him to prevent him from saving the people who were crisified. The priest believed the words of the beast and thought there were explosives across the city.

However the young duke didn't. He wanted to bring those people down and have them healed.

Not because he cared but because saving so many people would earn him a lot of credit.

" Enough priest, I'm tired of your cowardice, out people are suffering and you stand and watch."

Priest Methos sighed. " Young duke, if we save them we risk the lives of everybody else."

" So what, they are soldiers and nobles of the empire, their lives are worth more than those of these low borns."

The people around them shook with rage but none dared to say anything. Although the empire claimed to protect them, they knew they were nothing but glorified slaves.

Just as the young duke was standing up to heroically save those people a soldier rushed into the meeting room.

" How dare you barge into our meeting like that, do you wish to die huh?" The man shook with fear and knelt down.

Who doesn't know the notoriety of this young duke. " Forgive me my lord, I came to deliver an urgent message."

The young duke took the letter and read through it. " You're saying every city received this letter?" The man nodded.

The young duke started laughing out loud. " Now I know he's lying, there's no way he could've planted those things on so many cities without being discovered.

Not every projection realm lord is incompetence." The last remark was directed at priest Methos but he didn't say anything.

" Young duke I have a suggestion." Methos said. The young duke turned and looked at him.

" If everybody received the same letter then surely some of the other races with not take it seriously. They might take offence instead.

I suggest we wait and see how the kind of beasts react to it." The young duke gritted his teeth.

Then his advisor drew closer and whispered something to his ear. He sighed. " Fine, but what about ou people still hanging out there."

The priest sighed. " We will see to them later as well." Just like that, the priest saved everybody's lives.
