The barrier cracked open, Ved teleported and appeared Infront of it. He immediately created hundreds of thousands of nuclear bombs and hid them with stealth trait.
His army appeared right after and stood around him. They were all waiting tensely, they watched as the crack grew wider.
Ved wasn't as worried though, he had planned for this. Suddenly a blinding light appeared.
A massive army much larger than before appeared right after. What more, Ved could see the leaders he recognised.
He knew this was going to be the real battle. Infront of the army stood four figures. An old human man with a long white beard.
A black Ahnunaki with golden stars covering his entire body, a Nephilim with two pairs of wings and a elf woman with long golden hair and a crown of vines and flowers.
Ved knew these four were strong the moment he saw them, as strong as he was infact.
His face turned grim, this meant he and Linglong won't be able to take more opponents to lessen the pressure on the others.
He knew he couldn't wait and immediately detonated the bombs floating in the air. However something shocking happened.
The Nephilim pressed his hands together in a prayer position. A halo of white light spread out from him covering tens of kilometres around the entire army.
" Sacred lands of humility." He whispered gently. Immediately the blue flames gently floated through the air without causing any damage.
They avoided the army and looked as beautiful as fireflies then disappeared. ' The hell.' Ved couldn't understand what just happened.
He could feel his flames through his will, they didn't just avoid the army it was as if they lost any ability to hurt anybody.
Even if they touched them, nothing would've happened to them as the flames were gentle like water.
Not only that, the explosions were supposed to be accompanied by shockwaves but not a single one appeared.
" Humility." He heard Manas whisper with disgust. " It's probably the most dangerous of the seven virtues, complete lacks any true offensive abilities, be careful."
Ved was confused, if it lacked offensive abilities, how was it the most dangerous? He decided to ask and the answer cleared why his attack acted like that.
" It doesn't just lack any offensive abilities, no offensive abilities can work in it presence, infact in the hands of a true angel, especially a seraphim, no ability would work at all.
However that isn't what makes it so dangerous, it can allow the user to read minds, see through your past.
It can eliminate all negative emotions you have, in it presence, it can inflict the extreme side of humility, lack of confidence and self worth."
Ved grimaced, lack of confidence and self worth didn't sound very good for a dragon, he might've changed his idea of pride but the pride itself is still there.
If he doubted himself he would doubt his beliefs which would greatly weaken his will, nothing sounded more terrifying.
" However that isn't even the most terrifying thing about it, it true terror is empathy, combined with lack of self worth create an extremely dangerous mindset.
It can also show you the frailty of mortality, basically giving you the illusion of your own death, a thousand times in a thousand ways."
The more she talked the more grim his face became. He knew these four would face the three of them, him, Ursela and Linglong even though Ursela was not here yet.
So he told her everything Manas said about the Nephilim's ability. Instead of being scared she just grinned.
' It's time I show my new dragon magic, I've been itching for a real battle. Leave him to me.'
He received a voice transmission from Linglong and sighed, though he was still worried. However he also trusted her.
During the past year, Manas has been teaching her dragon tongue through Ved and she was also learning spell words in the book of the old tongues.
A book left in the library by the beast king for his successor. Although she wasn't fluent yet, her dragon tongue had grown much better than before.
She can utter certain words she didn't even know before and she said using dragon magic requires less mystical energy from her now.
She had also learnt the magic of names, she once demonstrated the power of dragon magic using the magic of names to him and it made him fear her even more.
She turned him into a rat, if only for a few seconds since the will needed to keep something like that indefinitely was more than even she can handle.
Even so, being a powerless rat was terrifying, worst still his will couldn't remove the ability she placed on him.
While lost in his thoughts he heard a chuckle, he raised his head and saw the old man stroking his beard while looking at the two of them.
He was in his true form but Linglong was in her humanoid form. " One of you must be the beast king successor, tell me which one is it so this will be easier."
The man said to them with a gentle smile like an elder talking to children. To be honest Ved was certain this old man was around 10 000 years old.
The average lifespan of a rank 5 human was around 12 to 13 thousand years so this man was very old, or so he believes.
Before he could say anything Linglong spoke first. " It's none of your business who the successor is, leave this place at once or it shall be your graves."
The old man chuckled. " What a feisty child, I will never understand the temper of you dragons, well no matter, I have my answer.
It's you." He pointed directly at Ved. Ved frowned. " What makes you think that?" He asked.
" Ho ho ho, I've lived a very long time boy, I have my means. Anyways, surrender peacefully and I promise the death of your people will be painless."
His army growled at him. " You'll have to get through us first you shitty old ghost." A blue skinned woman stood forward and appeared next to Ved.
" You're late." He whispered. " I'm here aren't I?" Now the three strongest beasts were gathered together glaring at the four leaders of the opposite army.
