When they collided Ved felt the force of his punch dissipate. He knew it was the image in place but it effect was greater than any he had ever seen.

" Volstone Arts: Crushing boulder." Before he could react Volstone disappeared from his sight.

Manas showed him how to move to dodge but he wasn't fast enough. He felt a tremendous force on his chest.

The next thing he knew he had crashed on her sea below with a massive hole on his chest.

His body formed a massive crater on the ocean floor. He lunged back up with his wound already healing.

However his regeneration was slower, much slower than before. The image didn't just change the effect of his attacks against but of all of his abilities.

This was the first time he faced something like this. Combined with Volstone's divine ember which was already slowing down his regeneration, he was healing too slowly for his liking.

Before the wound could fully heal Volstone appeared next to him like a ghost. He kicked Ved on the chin sending his teeth flying through the air.

He crashed back down sending giant waves in every direction. Golden light poured into him with every wound strengthening him.

However something else happened, a green leaf appeared above him, from it fell a green drop of liquid that splattered on Ved's head.

His body healed rapidly after, his tree image had taken action meaning the current Volstone posed a threat of real death on Ved.

Even with all of his abilities that could increase his survival Volstone was still a threat.

His face grew grim, most would rejoice at their images reacting but he knew what his symbolised and he didn't like it.

He thought about running away for a moment but immediately dismissed the idea.

He chose to face him,no matter the result, besides, his image hadn't fully projected itself meaning the chances of death were still below 40 percent.

He instinctively knew if the chances of death increased above 40 percent, the image would show up.

There were stages to it, the green liquid meant it was above 10 percent at the very least. At 20, an entire branch of leaves would appear.

Only when it reached 40 would the image itself show up, he had no idea what happens above that.

He couldn't receive that information for some reason. " Interesting." Volstone whispered.

Ved didn't bother with him and attacked, weapons formed around him blotting out the sky like clouds.

He reached out and grabbed a massive spear in his right hand and a shield in his left. A dragon with a spear and shield looked quite comical.

He roared shaking the sky like thunder then lunged. His spear was covered by green lightning.

He had no desire to save the second order extinguishing tribulation lightning in this battle, he had to give it all he had.

He tried to fuse his lightning and nuclear energy on the spear but they refused to merge perfectly.

Then he remembered something he did once before, he covered the spear with both his will and soul force.

The white spear turned black, green and blue. It started shaking as if it will break but using his will he held it together.

He gritted his teeth from the mental strain, he now realised how impressive what he did was considering how much weaker he was at that time.

The two abilities started merging together and eventually they did. A white spear with green and blue shining lines intertwining appeared.

Ved took a breath and wiped the metaphorical sweat on his forehead. Doing that took more mental strength than he thought he would.

However he had no idea how much shock Volstone was feeling at this moment. Most lower ranked beings didn't understand what soul force was truly for.

They believed it merely enhanced their strength but that was only a passive ability, a byproduct.

Soul force was actually an anchor, a glue of sort that stick laws to ones soul. Laws tended to repell each other.

Soul force forces these laws together creating harmony, the same goes for intent which is why people at Ved's level have different intent in them.

Each of Ved's attacks contain it own unique intent, these intent are held together in his soul without repelling each other by soul force.

However what Ved did was even more ridiculous, if soul force stuck two things together like sticking two metals with glue.

What Ved did was like smashing those metals together, covered them in glue than pressed them so hard they merge into a new stronger metal.

It was utterly ridiculous. Volstone grew serious realising how abnormal this beast king successor was.

He decided to test the power of his creation, perhaps he was giving the boy too much credit.

His body flickered and he appeared above Ved. He was still too fast for Ved to follow, the world bent around him so much he barely needed to move to cover large distances.

That was how powerful his image was. He dropped an axe kick in Ved's head. Ved was forced to abandon his charge, he raised his spear to block.

That's all he managed to do, however when the spear met the foot, Volstone had expected it to break.

He felt like he kicked the hardest metal, electric energy with an incredibly high temperature coursed through his foot shocking him.

He jumped back and looked at his foot which had a burn mark. The burn was healing rapidly but his face was still grim.

The spear was much more powerful than he had expected. He lunged back and punched.

Ved stabbed his fist with the spear. When they met, the sound of clashing metal echoed through the air shaking the entire sky.

However unlike in their previous exchanges, this time they reached a stalemate with neither being pushed back.

The temperature around them grew so hot even Volstone felt it, the air became electric. The power of the spear brought him worry.

He realised this spear acted for this beast king's successor the same way artefacts did for humans.

He frowned, the power to use weapons to enhance physical attributes was strictly theirs.

He couldn't allow a beast to achieve the same thing. If this dragon can arm other spiritual beasts with such weapons.

They would widen the gap in strength his human ancestors had fought so hard to close, it couldn't be allowed.

He grew serious, his playfulness disappeared. " You can't be allowed to live."

The red light around his body disappeared, he looked like his normal self but Ved could feel a change around him.

" VED RUN." His image immediately bloomed behind him. Volstone disappeared from his sight.
