Cain Ashenvale's eyes widened in shock as he stared at Ethan. "Why are you so strong?"
"Dual shields of ice and fire!"
Cain quickly deployed his Heaven-level spiritual defense method, conjuring shimmering defensive barriers infused with icy chill and blazing flames.
The shields met Ethan's heavy attack head-on, but the sheer force still knocked Cain backwards. He was sent soaring ten feet into the air, wind whistling past him before he landed with force, releasing every last reserve of power in his arms, which throbbed from the force of Ethan's strike.
"That's an impressive move," Cain admitted with a grimace, "but such strength must come at an incredible cost. How many times do you think you can use it?"
Ethan's lips curled into a slight smile as he lowered his stance and surged forward, moving with lightning speed and beast-like ferocity.
"How the hell are you still this fast?!" Cain gasped, fingers brushing his long sword as he prepared to strike.
"Ice and Fire Double Dragon Slash!" Cain unleashed a sweeping attack, his sword blazing with chilling frost and scorching flames swirling harmoniously around the blade. He held perfect control over these opposing elemental forces—a deadly dance.
"If you dare to block with your bare hands again, I'll cut off your arm!" Cain warned fiercely.
Ethan smirked, "Cut off my arm? I doubt your weapon is sharp enough to do such a thing."
"The Abyssal Sixteen Arts, Seventh Art!" Ethan roared as he dashed through a sky filled with sword energies. Wherever he moved, the sword intent shattered into fragments.
The rushing whoosh of breaking wind echoed as Ethan dodged with flawless agility, grinning like a predator stalking its prey. "Where are you looking?" he taunted.
Cain spun sharply, swinging his sword, unleashing twin dragon-shaped bursts of intertwined ice and fire sword energy. The roaring twin swords thundered toward Ethan like a tempest.
But Ethan stood ground, seizing the heads of the dragons with both hands.
The sharp sword intent lashed wildly around them, tearing the very fabric of space, yet it could not penetrate the blood and essence armor cloaking Ethan's body. Even stray luck or chance could not harm him, absorbed fully by his spiritual armor.
"Break!" Ethan snarled, hauling forward.
The twin dragons shattered spectacularly, collapsing, flooding the skies.
Without pause, Ethan clenched his fists and launched a brutal barrage.
His eyes darkened with icy coldness.
Earlier, while shattering the sword dragons, he had already layered seven layers of fist intent consecutively. Now, the pulse of his fists reached an awe-inspiring crescendo.
Cain Ashenvale realized Ethan had been condensing fist intent power from the beginning but never guessed he could easily pile seven layers of sheer destructive energy.
"This punch alone could destroy me!" Cain thought.
"Such ferocity... Is this man a wild beast?" Cain's face twisted in confusion and unease.
Fuelled by desperation, Cain retaliated with furious sword strikes.
"Ethan, can you only use fists?"
"I am a physical cultivator," Ethan replied confidently.
"For me, fists are enough to kill you!"
Ethan's palm condensed into a blazing fist, roaring like a tiger.
His essence and blood surged beyond containment.
Crimson lightning flashed violently from his fist, blasting apart the very space.
Caught in the oncoming punch, Cain's eyes narrowed with sudden dread.
Something was wrong—the power radiated by the punch was uncontrollable, terrifying in its raw intensity.
"No... This punch is strange!"
"Don't resist!" Ethan's voice cut through the fury.
Cain's pupils constricted sharply as he exploded with dominating momentum.
With no reserves left, Cain unleashed all his killing techniques.
He cast aside his sword, which transformed into a golden sword shadow blotting out the sky.
A cascade of Heaven-level spiritual techniques surged forth, matched by a powerful defensive spiritual weapon.
"Immortal level spiritual technique, Great Celestial Robe Strike!" Cain summoned his trump card to survive.
A golden robe condensed around him like a second skin, brimming with spiritual energy.
But Ethan surged through the golden sword shadow.
He clenched his fist and rocketed downward, ruthless and unstoppable.
Wherever his crimson lightning clawed, cracks formed in the golden barrier.
Boom!
His fist slammed the glowing robe with unyielding force.
Even under the protection of Great Celestial Robe Strike, Cain shuddered at the sheer power behind Ethan's blows.
Each explosion of Ethan's fists battered his defense like the might of a wild beast.
Suddenly, an ominous sound pierced through the air.
Cain desperately held Ethan's fist, sliding backward as dust and rock exploded beneath his feet in a fiery trail of destruction.
"Break!"
Ethan summoned his essence and blood anew, igniting a volcanic surge.
The crimson light flickered wildly as the Great Celestial Robe's spiritual barriers fractured and crumbled.
Cracks webbed the robe's surface in an instant.
The once formidable immortal-level defense technique shattered completely.
"Impossible!"
Cain's pupils trembled in disbelief.
"How can his power be this strong? This erosive, penetrating force?"
There was no time for thought.
Ethan's fist, enormous as a boulder, smashed into Cain's face.
The red lightning that wreathed his fist cut like a blade, drawing blood slowly and staining Cain's face crimson.
Bang!
The ground beneath Cain's feet collapsed violently.
Dust billowed upward, shock waves of red steam rippling outwards, clashing with the surrounding golden shields.
Spectators trembled with fear, awe, and disbelief.
No one had expected this.
Cain Ashenvale had unleashed his full strength, yet was utterly dominated.
He failed to endure even ten of Ethan's moves.
The defeat was thorough and devastating.
Cain Ashenvale—the golden son of the heavens, ranked third on the Heaven's prodigy list in Skyreach Territory.
A peak third-turn Mahayana Realm cultivator with combat power rivaling fifth-turn and above.
Among his generation, only two or three surpassed him in talent and strength throughout the entire Holy Land of Endless Mountains.
Yet, in Ethan's hands, he was powerless.
This proved Ethan's strength had skyrocketed to an unthinkable level.
In all of Skyreach Territory, perhaps only the Stonebridge family's eldest daughter could stand as an equal.
Rain, watching nearby, breathed out a sigh of relief upon witnessing the scene.
"It seems he's not bragging. He is truly 100% sure."
