Garion pushed open the doors to the private training hall, stepping inside with a lazy wave.
"I leave you two alone for one week and nobody died, huh? Not bad."
Raviel sat cross-legged on the floor, sweat dripping down his jaw. He lifted his head, breathing hard but steady.
"I can feel it… about ninety-nine percent of my cells have turned into mana-core cells."
Garion blinked.
"Ninety-nine? Wow. So being third-realm really does pack a stupid amount of mana. No wonder you're evolving faster than my disciples."
Raviel let out a tired laugh. "It felt like my whole body was melting."
Garion smirked. "Good sign. If it doesn't feel like you're dying, you're doing it wrong."
He turned to Aveline.
"You?"
Aveline exhaled slowly, wiping sweat from her brow. "Around ninety-five percent."
Garion nodded approvingly. "Nice. You're both ahead of schedule."
He clapped his hands once, eyes bright with mischief.
"Alright, Raviel. Prepare yourself."
Raviel blinked. "Prepare? For what?"
Garion tilted his head, grinning.
"Unique Physique Awakening. The real one. Not that half-baked thing you used to brag about."
Raviel frowned. "Hey, I already awakened mine, didn't I?"
Garion stepped closer, poking Raviel's forehead.
"You awakened the 'baby version' of it. What's coming next is the complete, full-power [Unique Physique]."
Raviel's face stiffened. "That… doesn't sound painless."
Garion nodded. "Oh, it's not. Arden screamed for an hour straight. The twins did too. Good memories."
Aveline snorted softly. "That explains the trauma in their eyes."
Garion shrugged. "Anyway, Raviel... get ready."
Raviel opened his mouth to respond, but the air around him suddenly rippled.
A violent burst of red and yellow mana erupted from his body, swirling like a storm.
The ground cracked as pure elemental energy wrapped tightly around him, forming a glowing sphere.
Aveline jumped back. "Raviel!"
Garion smirked, hands in his pockets.
"And there it is."
Inside the sphere, Raviel screamed in raw agony, his body trembling as the elements tore through his muscles and bones.
Raviel's voice shook. "G-Garion! Damn it! This hurts like hell!"
Garion nodded calmly. "Yup. That means it's working. Keep going!"
Aveline paced anxiously, fists clenched, watching as Raviel's silhouette twisted inside the sphere.
"Is he going to survive this!?"
Garion casually waved one hand, completely unfazed.
"If he dies, I'll revive him. Probably."
Aveline whipped her head toward him. "PROBABLY?!"
Garion grinned wider. "Relax. He's too stubborn to die anyway."
Before she could shout back, the sphere around Raviel flared violently...
BOOOOM!!
The entire hall trembled.
For the next hour, Raviel's screams echoed nonstop.
Aveline paced back and forth, biting her lip. Her fists clenched tighter every time his voice cracked.
"Garion, are you really sure..."
"Yes."
"But..."
"He'll live."
"How can you be so calm?!"
Garion pointed at the sphere. "Because he's screaming. If he stops, then you can panic."
Aveline stared at him in disbelief. "That is not comforting!"
Eventually, the scream inside the sphere began to disappear, and cracks spread across the surface.
Then... it shattered apart.
The energy burst outward like a broken shell, and Raviel stepped out, gasping for air.
Aveline froze.
Even Garion's grin widened a little.
Raviel's entire body had transformed.
His hair was now a sharp blend of fiery red and electric yellow, streaks flowing together like living lightning.
His skin carried glowing tattoos of flame and thunder, wrapping around his arms, back, and chest.
Raviel looked down at himself, still panting. He touched his arms and exhaled slowly.
"…So this is it."
Garion walked forward, arms crossed, nodding in satisfaction.
"Good. You finally awakened the real [Unique Physique]."
Raviel lifted his head with a tired smile. "Yeah… it named itself. It's called the [Burning Storm Physique]."
Aveline blinked. "Burning Storm…?"
Raviel nodded weakly.
"Flame and thunder… both elements fused. I can feel it everywhere. My blood… my bones… even my heartbeat feels different."
Garion smirked, leaning closer.
"Congrats. Now you're officially a monster."
Raviel let out a shaky laugh.
"If this is the result… then the pain was worth it."
Aveline sighed in relief, shoulders dropping. "Good. Because watching that almost made me pass out."
Garion chuckled, patting Raviel's back.
"Don't celebrate yet. You've only awakened it. You still need to learn how to control it."
Raviel rubbed his shoulder, glaring. "Can't you let me enjoy five seconds of peace?"
Garion shrugged. "Nope."
Raviel let out a long, dramatic groan.
Garion turned slowly… deliberately… toward Aveline.
His smirk stretched wider.
"Well then… seems like it's almost your turn."
Aveline stiffened. Her jaw tightened for a moment, but she didn't step back.
"…I know."
Garion raised a brow. "Getting nervous?"
Aveline glared lightly. "As Matriarch, I don't get nervous. I get… prepared."
Raviel snorted, still panting. "Lies. You're terrified."
Aveline jabbed her elbow into his side fast and sharply.
"AARGH! Aveline!"
Garion burst into laughter.
"That's the spirit. Hit him again if it gives you courage."
Aveline rolled her eyes but couldn't hide the faint smile tugging at her lips.
Then she closed her eyes, exhaled slowly, and sat on the floor, focusing on chaning the remaning cells.
Garion crossed his arms, watching closely.
"Good. Focus on finishing the conversion. Every last cell. You're at ninety-five… push it to a hundred."
Aveline nodded, face already tense with effort.
"I understand."
Raviel wiped sweat from his forehead and leaned back against the wall, still breathing heavily.
"You're about to regret everything," he muttered.
Aveline shot him another glare. "If you survived, so will I."
Garion smirked.
"That's good. Keep that energy. Now… hurry up and finish it. Your turn's coming sooner than you think."
Aveline inhaled deeply and nodded. "I'm ready."
Raviel wheezed. "No, you're not."
"Quiet," she snapped again.
She shut her eyes and pushed her mana harder, her whole body trembling as she forced the remaining cells to convert.
Garion stepped closer. "Good. Don't hold back. Push past that last wall."
Aveline gritted her teeth. Her jaw tightened. Her shoulders shook. Then...
FWOOOM!
A sudden burst of green mana erupted from her body, swirling upward like a rising storm.
Raviel's eyes widened. "Whoa! That's way stronger than mine at the start."
Garion nodded with a grin. "Of course it is. She's a Matriarch. They always overdo things."
