Heretic Trainer: The Gym Is My Cultivation Method

Chapter 221: If She’s Screaming She’s Fine

The green mana around Aveline exploded outward before snapping tight, forming a dense green sphere around her.

Raviel pushed himself upright with shaky legs, eyes widening.

"…Here we go," he whispered.

Garion folded his arms, expression calm but focused.

"Brace yourself, Raviel," he said lightly. "There's going to be a melody later."

Raviel frowned. "Of course there..."

AAAAAHHHHHHHH!!

Aveline's scream ripped through the hall, raw and furious. The sphere cracked with green lightning from the inside.

Raviel winced so hard he almost folded in half. "Yep. There it is. Melody."

Another sharp scream echoed.

Garion nodded approvingly. "Good projection. Strong lungs."

Aveline's voice came out strained, shaking with pain.

"DAMN IT! THIS...THIS HURTS MORE THAN ANYTHING!"

Raviel cupped his hands around his mouth and shouted toward the sphere, his voice cracking.

"Didn't I tell you before?! It's painful! It's REALLY DAMN PAINFUL!"

Aveline's voice shot back instantly.

"SHUT UP, RAVIEL!"

Garion chuckled under his breath. "Both of you are very lively. Good sign."

A new wave of mana pulsed from the sphere as green vines of energy whipping out before snapping back in.

Aveline screamed again, louder this time.

Raviel shook his head, sighing dramatically. "Just scream! It helps! Trust me!"

Aveline roared in agony from inside.

"THAT DOESN'T HELP AT ALL!"

Garion watched her closely, his smirk widening.

"Hang in there, Aveline. When the pain hits the peak… that's when the real awakening starts."

Raviel glanced at him. "You said the same thing to me."

Garion shrugged like it was nothing. "Because it's true. Pain is the doorway. You two are just… kicking it open very loudly."

Raviel groaned. "Loudly? She's screaming like the sky is falling!"

Inside the sphere, Aveline's voice cracked through again.

"IF I LIVE THROUGH THIS... GARION... I'M... KILLING... YOU!"

Garion chuckled softly. "She's fine."

Raviel stared at him like he was insane. "This is what you call fine?!"

Garion didn't answer.

He only focused on the sphere, watching how the green energy twisted and folded over itself.

Minutes dragged into an hour.

Aveline's screams gradually weakened... not because the pain stopped, but because she was running out of breath.

Raviel took a hesitant step forward. "Should we... should we help her? Stabilize her? Something?"

Garion raised a hand calmly, stopping him.

"Touch that sphere and you'll get sent flying. Let her finish it herself. This part… must be done alone."

Raviel bit his lip but stepped back again, fists tight.

"…Come on, Aveline."

The sphere suddenly bulged outward, as if something inside was forcing its way through. Green cracks shot across its surface.

Garion's eyes lit up.

"There it is."

The cracks spread rapidly... Thin lines at first, then thick fractures glowing with blinding vitality energy.

Raviel swallowed hard. "It's cracking… This is the same stage I reached before mine exploded."

Garion nodded. "Exactly. The body is rewriting itself. When the sphere can't contain the transformation anymore…"

The cracks widened. Bits of green energy peeled away like shedding skin.

Raviel stepped back. "Oh-oh, it's breaking!"

BOOM!

The sphere shattered completely, bursting into a cloud of bright green motes that scattered across the hall.

And from the center...

Aveline stepped out, gasping for breath, steam rising from her skin.

Her hair had turned a vivid, lively green, glowing faintly at the tips.

Elegant green tattoos wrapped around her arms and down her sides, pulsing with soft light.

Garion smirked proudly. "Not bad. Very not bad."

Aveline threw her hands up.

"FINALLY. I'M DONE!"

Her legs wobbled, but she stayed upright. Raviel rushed over to steady her, eyes wide.

"You look… completely different."

Aveline glared at Garion, cheeks flushed with lingering pain.

"Garion... THAT WAS TOO DAMN PAINFUL. You didn't warn me enough!"

Garion shrugged lightly, hands in his pockets.

"I did. You just didn't believe me."

Aveline stomped once, then winced because even stomping hurt. "Still! That was insane!"

Garion laughed. "Of course it was. Awakening a [Unique Physique] isn't supposed to feel like a massage."

She groaned and rubbed her forehead.

"Ugh… What even is mine? I felt something inside me click."

Garion nodded toward her tattoos. "Go on. Say it."

Aveline took a breath, straightening her posture proudly despite the exhaustion.

"…It should be the same as Arden's."

Green light shimmered faintly around her as she spoke.

"[Nature Physique]."

Raviel blinked. "Just like Arden? But yours looks… stronger."

Aveline smirked weakly.

"Well, I am the Matriarch."

Garion chuckled.

"That's the spirit. Both of you finally awakened your real physiques. Now the fun part starts."

Raviel and Aveline exchanged a tired look.

"…Training?"

Garion grinned dangerously.

"Oh, absolutely."

---

Garion snapped his fingers, and two strange-looking bottles appeared in his hands.

"Alright. Since both of you awakened your [Unique Physiques], it's time for training."

Raviel groaned instantly. "I knew it…"

Garion ignored him completely.

"But first... drink this."

He shoved the red-yellow bottle into Raviel's hands. The liquid inside bubbled like lava.

Aveline received the green one, gentle-looking… but somehow suspiciously bright.

Garion introduced them proudly:

"Raviel, that's a mix of [Flame Creatine Shake] and [Thunder Creatine Shake]. Aveline, yours is the [Nature Creatine Shake]."

Raviel stared at his bottle like it was poison.

"…Garion. Do I really have to drink this again?"

Garion raised a brow. "Of course."

Aveline blinked. "What's the problem? It's just a drink, right?"

She lifted hers casually and took a big sip.

One second passed.

Two seconds...

Aveline suddenly jerked, face twisting, and nearly spat it all out.

Garion moved instantly, covering her mouth with his hand. "Nope. You swallow that. Do not waste my supplements."

Aveline glared at him with watery eyes.

"Garion! What the hell is this? How can something taste THIS bitter?! It feels like it's killing my tongue!"

Garion smiled warmly, as if giving her a compliment.

"It's just a special potion to restore your energy after awakening. Gets your body ready for training. Totally safe. Probably."

Aveline slapped his hand away, coughing. "You're insane…"

Garion pointed at Raviel. "Your turn."

Raviel winced, lifted the bottle, and forced himself to drink.

The moment the liquid touched his tongue...

"GHHHH!" His whole body shivered.

"It's spicy… and sour… WHY BOTH?!"

Garion patted his shoulder proudly. "Good, right?"

"No! It's horrifying!"

Garion laughed, stepping back with his hands on his hips.

"Exactly. If the taste shocks your system, it means the supplement is strong. Think of it as… flavor-based motivation."

Aveline massaged her forehead. "You and your stupid logic…"

Raviel coughed again, fanning his burning mouth. "Is this really necessary?"

Garion nodded without an ounce of guilt.

"Oh, absolutely. You both awakened your physiques, but your bodies are unstable. These shakes force your physique to settle properly. After this, you can finally train at full power."

He cracked his neck and grinned.

"Now that your bodies are warmed up..."

Both Raviel and Aveline froze.

Garion stretched his arms casually.

"...It's time to start hell training."

Aveline whispered to Raviel, voice trembling.

"…I think we made a mistake joining God Gym."

Raviel whispered back, "…We definitely did."

Garion smiled wider.

"Let's begin."
