Heretic Trainer: The Gym Is My Cultivation Method

Chapter 233: Who Designed The Human Body?!

Dahlai continued, pointing at the lungs. "These are lungs. They take in air."

Valtor opened his mouth slowly. "...Air? Where does the air go?"

Dahlia stared at him. "Into the lungs."

Valtor blinked. "Right. That makes sense."

Seira observed calmly. "So… if the lungs stop… breathing stops as well?"

Arden nodded. "Exactly."

Mersha tilted her head. "In my family, they made us practice knocking people unconscious by stopping breath… I didn't know this was the reason."

Valtor let out a long breath. "Your family is terrifying."

Mersha smiled shyly. "Thank you."

Dahlia moved to the stomach. "This is the stomach. It breaks down food."

Valtor frowned. "So everything I eat goes… into this?"

He poked his own belly. "Feels too small…"

Arden shook his head again. "No, it expands. Like a bag."

Seira leaned forward slightly. "If this handles food… what handles poison?"

Mersha lifted her finger. "Sometimes the stomach. Sometimes the blood. Sometimes the lungs... ah, sorry, never mind."

Dahlia patted her head gently. "Focus on normal lessons first, okay?"

Mersha nodded quickly. "Yes, Senior Sister."

Dahlia moved down the body. "And here are the intestines..."

Valtor raised both hands. "Hold up! There's more?! How long is all that?!"

Arden sighed. "Junior Brother… that's only the beginning. The human body is extremely complex."

Seira nodded slowly. "No wonder this sect studies corpses. There's a lot to learn."

Mersha leaned closer, circling around the table.

"This is so much more detailed… than what my family taught me. They only told me how to make parts stop working. Not what they actually do…"

Dahlia smiled softly at her. "Then this will be good for you. Here, you'll learn the real structure. Not just the weak points."

Valtor crossed his arms, expression serious for once. "Fine. If this is what it takes to get stronger, I'll learn it."

Seira exhaled. "Same. I won't be left behind."

Mersha nodded. "Me too."

Arden smiled. "Good. Then let's continue. Bones, muscles, blood flow, and organs. Today we cover all of them."

Dahlia lifted her scalpel with a grin. "Junior brothers, junior sister... Welcome to the real start of body cultivation."

The three tightened their grips on their scalpels.

"Let's learn everything."

---

By the time the sun began to fade behind Demon Gate Island, the three new direct disciples dragged their feet out of the learning room like tired zombies.

Valtor collapsed onto a bench outside, arms hanging down.

"Damn it… How can one human body have SO many organs?!"

He pulled his own hair in stress.

"Heart, lungs, liver, stomach... fine! But WHY are there so many more?!"

He pointed weakly at the air.

"And WHY are there so many types of muscles?! Why are there different bones?! Why is the spine so complicated?! Who designed this!?"

Seira sat beside him slowly, face calm but eyes exhausted. She rubbed her temples.

"There are over two hundred bones. Two hundred. And we had to learn the names of half of them today."

Valtor groaned. "You memorized them?! I forgot them right away!"

Mersha sat on the ground, hugging her backpack, cheeks puffed.

"It's too much… My family only taught me about… um… breaking a few important parts. I didn't know there were so many pieces inside people…"

Valtor pointed at her. "Exactly! That's what I thought! Why are there so many pieces!?"

Seira nodded. "I thought the body was simple… breathe, move, fight. But no."

She raised her hand and counted on her fingers.

"Organ system, muscle groups, bone functions, blood pathway, nerve this, nerve that..."

She let her hand drop. "This is ridiculous."

Arden approached them with a clipboard, smiling calmly despite looking a little tired himself.

"You three did very well today."

Valtor glared at him. "Well?! I feel like my brain exploded."

He tapped his forehead. "There are too many things inside a human body. Too many!"

Dahlia walked over with a bright grin, completely energetic like she didn't just teach anatomy for hours.

"Awww, look at you three. You all have that 'first day shock' look. Very cute."

Seira gave her a flat stare. "This is not cute. My head hurts."

Mersha nodded quickly. "Mine too… I feel like I'll see organs in my dreams tonight."

Valtor groaned. "I'm gonna dream about bones chasing me…"

Dahlia laughed. "Come on, you survived! That's already impressive. Most outer disciples fainted before lunch."

Arden nodded. "Yes. Five of them passed out during the muscle lecture."

Valtor pointed at himself. "Why didn't we faint?!"

Dahlia smirked. "Because you're direct disciples. You don't get to faint."

Seira's eye twitched. "…That's not fair."

Arden flipped to the next page on his clipboard. "Oh, and just so you know… this was only the start."

Valtor's entire body froze. "What?"

Arden held up the notes. "We haven't even covered the major systems yet."

Seira frowned. "Systems…?"

Dahlia grinned wider.

"Yep. Circulatory system. Nervous system. Digestive system. Respiratory system. Muscle system. Skeletal system. And MANY more."

Mersha widened her eyes. "Many… more…?"

Arden nodded cheerfully. "Yes! Tomorrow we start with the circulatory and nervous systems."

Valtor leaned back against the bench, staring at the sky in pain. "No… no more body stuff… please…"

Seira massaged her forehead. "I can already feel a headache…"

Mersha hugged her backpack tighter.

"I just learned they're actually called the 'small intestine' and 'large intestine'… not 'squiggly thing' like I thought…"

Dahlia burst into laughter. "Don't worry! After a week of this, you'll know every part inside the body."

Valtor glared weakly. "I didn't come here to become a walking textbook…"

Dahlia leaned close and tapped his chest.

"But you came here to become strong, right? Well, body cultivators MUST know the body."

Arden nodded. "That's why the God Gym is unmatched."

The three juniors exchanged exhausted looks.

Valtor sighed. "Fine… but I swear if tomorrow is worse, I'm fighting someone."

Seira crossed her arms. "Don't fight. You'll just embarrass yourself."

Mersha raised her hand shyly. "Um… if you fight, can I watch?"

Valtor groaned again.

Dahlia clapped her hands loudly. "Alright, juniors! Go rest. Tomorrow is another long day!"

As they shuffled away like half-dead disciples, Dahlia whispered to Arden with a mischievous grin.

"They're so cute when they suffer."

Arden nodded gently. "Yes… but I hope they don't cry tomorrow."

The chapter closed with Valtor, Seira, and Mersha dragging their tired bodies back to the dorm.

They knew that this was only the beginning of their nightmare anatomy training.
