Heretic Trainer: The Gym Is My Cultivation Method

Chapter 284: Worth It Until They Awakened

The twins sat at one of the long tables, completely relaxed.

Plates piled high with roasted meat were stacked in front of them.

Grease glistened on their fingers as they tore into another piece, juice dripping onto the table.

A large jug sat between them, already half empty.

Rynor took a big bite and sighed happily. "Man… this is good."

Rynar nodded while chewing. "Way better when you're not the one screaming."

From deeper inside the hall, muffled voices still echoed faintly.

"I STILL HATE YOU!"

Rika's voice cracked through the barrier.

Rynor grinned and raised his cup. "Cheers to that."

Rynar laughed and clinked his cup. "To rewards."

Another distant roar followed.

"WHEN THIS ENDS... YOU'RE DEAD!"

Ragric's furious scream made a few nearby disciples flinch.

The twins didn't even look up.

Rynor wiped his mouth. "See? They sound lively."

Rynar leaned back in his chair. "Yeah. Full of energy."

Across the table, Dahlia stared at them with disbelief, arms crossed. "You two are going to be in so much trouble."

Clara nodded rapidly. "Like, legendary trouble."

Eliza didn't say anything.

She quietly slid a napkin closer to the twins, then pointed toward the screaming cocoons in the distance.

Dahlia sighed. "They're not joking, you know."

Rynor shrugged. "Don't you worry too much."

Rynar smirked. "We're fine."

Clara leaned forward. "You forced Rika and Rena to drink it."

Rynor tilted his head. "And?"

Clara stared. "They're going to remember that."

Rynar laughed. "Good."

Another scream echoed, this time Rovric's.

"THIS IS NEVER ENDING!"

Dahlia glanced toward the hall. "It's almost been a whole day."

Her voice softened slightly. "They should be close to finishing."

Clara winced. "That doesn't mean they'll be in a good mood."

Rynor shrugged again and reached for another piece of meat. "Mood's temporary."

Rynar added, "Strength's permanent."

Eliza quietly shook her head and stood up, already moving a step away from the table.

Dahlia followed her gaze and sighed. "Seriously. When they come out…"

She looked back at the twins. "…run."

Rynor paused mid-bite.

Rynar swallowed.

Then both of them grinned at the same time.

"Worth it," Rynor said.

"Totally worth it," Rynar agreed.

Somewhere in the distance, the screams suddenly stopped.

The hall went quiet.

Dahlia slowly lowered her chopsticks and looked at the twins. "You should run."

Clara nodded seriously for once. "Yeah. Like. Right now."

Eliza paused mid-bite, looked up, then calmly stood and took two steps away from them.

Rynor leaned back in his chair, completely relaxed. "Run? Why?"

Rynar smirked and took another sip of juice. "What can they even do?"

He shrugged. "They just awakened."

That was when the air cracked.

Lightning exploded into the hall.

Rena appeared in a flash, her entire body wrapped in bright yellow sparks.

"DAMN YOU!"

She launched herself forward and swung her leg straight at Rynor's head.

Rynor's grin widened. Thunder wrapped around his body, and he stepped aside smoothly.

The kick missed by inches and shattered the floor behind him.

"Heh," Rynor said. "Too slow."

Before he could laugh more flames rushed in from the side.

Rika appeared next, her fist blazing red.

"THIS IS FOR EARLIER!"

Rynar twisted his body and leaned back, the flaming punch rushing past his face and scorching the air.

"Whoa," Rynar said. "You're angry."

Then the temperature spiked again.

A sharp presence filled the hall.

Rovric stepped forward, calm but dangerous. In his hand was a blade made of pure flame, solid and sharp.

Rynor's eyes widened. "What the hell?"

Another crack of thunder answered him.

Ragric appeared beside Rovric, holding a long spear formed entirely of lightning.

The weapon hummed loudly, sparks dancing along its length.

Rynar stared. "Since when do you use weapons again?"

Ragric pointed the spear at them. "Since we awakened."

Rovric lifted his flaming sword slightly. "And since you mocked us."

Rika clenched her flaming fist. "You think screaming for a whole day is funny?"

Rena took a step forward, lightning snapping wildly. "We remember everything."

Rynor frowned. "Wait. Your Unique Physiques are weapon-based?"

Ragric nodded. "Not just elemental."

Rovric added, "We create weapons. Our attacks are stronger when we use them."

Dahlia took another bite of meat and sighed. "Told you."

Clara chewed calmly. "You really should have listened."

Eliza quietly slid another plate toward Dahlia and nodded once.

Rynar clicked his tongue. "Damn."

Rynor glanced at his brother. "Yeah. This got bad fast."

Rena raised her leg again, lightning gathering.

The twins didn't hesitate anymore.

Their bodies flared with thunder as their Twin Physique activated.

Electricity wrapped around both of them at once, their power syncing instantly.

Rynor grabbed Rynar's arm. "Go!"

They vanished in a flash of thunder, bolts streaking down the hall as they escaped.

Rika slammed her fist into the floor where they had been. "COWARDS!"

Rena snarled. "CHASE THEM!"

Dahlia watched the chaos and shook her head. "They're going to be hunted for days."

Clara smiled. "Deserved."

Eliza nodded quietly and went back to eating.

Somewhere far away, two thunder streaks ran for their lives.

Back in the hall, Garion stood with his arms crossed, watching the chaos fade into the distance.

A slow smirk spread across his face.

"…Haha."

Dahlia glanced at him. "You look way too happy about this."

Garion shrugged. "Motivation works best when it hurts."

Clara snorted. "Those two are never going to hear the end of this."

Rika's angry shouting echoed faintly from another direction. "COME BACK HERE!"

Garion turned his attention away from the mess and looked toward Mersha.

"So," he said casually, "how many of those can you make each day?"

Mersha adjusted her glasses and thought for a moment. "If I let the machine auto-produce it…"

She started counting on her fingers. "About two per day."

Garion nodded. "That few?"

Mersha nodded back. "This elixir eats ingredients like crazy. Especially Second Realm materials."

She pointed toward the storage list floating on her tablet.

"Second Realm Essence. Condensed Spirit Liquid. Perfected catalysts. They are not cheap."

Garion waved his hand dismissively. "Don't worry about ingredients."

Mersha blinked. "Really?"

"The hunting groups bring back piles of Second Realm beasts every day," Garion said. "We are swimming in materials."

Mersha's eyes lit up. "Oh."

She grinned. "Then I can optimize production later."

Garion raised a finger. "Later."

He looked at her seriously. "Don't overdo it."

Mersha tilted her head. "Eh?"

"Sleep," Garion said. "And exercise."

Clara burst out laughing. "Master just prescribed rest."

Dahlia smiled. "That might be the scariest order you've ever given her."

Mersha pouted for half a second, then nodded. "Okay. I'll behave."

She turned toward the lab door, then paused. "I still want to make other supplements, though."

Garion sighed. "Of course you do."

"I'll be careful," Mersha said quickly, already backing away.

Garion shook his head. "Go."

She waved excitedly and ran off toward the laboratory.
