Chapter 155: Rosa Isn't Human?

Every House got notified of their match some matches early so that they could make strategies. House Ares's match just showed how important it was to think ahead and win.

When Aegon got notified of their next opponent, he couldn't help but smile. The image of a haughty princess appeared in his head, though she looked different than before because of his special gift.

He had used his authority over his company to send those gifts. Fortunately, there were no major consequences, as the princess didn't want the world to know of that accident.

Rumours say she hid inside her palace and turned grumpy.

'Hope you don't come at my family again.'

Yes, Aegon's next opponent was Gabriel's team from House Imperial, the same house as Raphael's team.

It was earlier than he expected, but still something he welcomed. It happened because the other team forfeited without even a fight, so the later match already got an outcome and their match was set up.

'She offered them a good price probably,' Aegon thought. 'It's also a good strategy.'

The other team would surely be forgotten, but with the Princess offering something to them, they didn't really need to play in Supremacy Games. Their future was already set.

This also showed the two Imperial offspring's mentality. While Prince Raphael demonstrated domination with pure might, showing his stance, Princess Gabriel chose to be mysterious and keep her cards hidden. Everyone knew she was dangerous and this mysteriousness created a deeper sense of fear in opponents.

The unknown scared humans the most.

'Round 2, huh. We still need to wait for these thirty-two matches to end.' Aegon smiled. 'Well, it'll be an interesting match up.'

"Should we play cards?" Xavier asked, yawning. "This match is so boring. They're just farming while that guy runs away at first glance."

"Sure, I can remember it while glancing at it," Aegon agreed, since he had nothing better to do.

"Shouldn't we be making strategies to fight against the Princess?" Elara asked, concern clear in her voice.

"Oh! Right, this is princess vs princess!" Aegon finally understood and shrugged. "Don't worry. I have basics cleared. There's no information on them for us, so we can't really make any proper strategy now. It'll just backfire."

"So, we stick to basic plans until you decide new shit!" Cali flattened her chair, turning it into a bench and said, "Gotcha! Then I'll sleep till then."

"Hey! What about cards?"

"Elara!" Rosa called out, her serious voice silencing the whining Xavier. "We need to talk!"

"I was thinking the same!" Elara nodded and stood up. "We'll be right back."

"Just don't fight," Aegon said, scratching his cheeks. "Though I do think you two need to talk, so have a nice talk. Take your time."

With that, the two of them left the room. There were passages leading to these rooms, so Aegon could guess where they were.

"Aren't you curious what they might be talking about?" Xavier asked, nudging closer to Aegon.

"I am, but that doesn't mean I'll eavesdrop on them," Aegon snorted before kicking Cali under the table. "Wake up!"

"What is it, Gon?" Cali groaned, but sat up nonetheless.

"You said Rosa was weird. You got that feeling, so care to elaborate on that?" Aegon asked. "Before it was just my curiosity, but now it involves El, so I need to know everything."

"Hmm, how should I say this..." Cali mulled over it for a bit before speaking. "You know, I can Boost not only myself but also others. Even weapons. Basically anything that can get a boost. Though there are many limitations on it."

Aegon nodded. When one awakens an affinity, they hold the potential to fully master that Affinity. So he knew Cali could do this as long as she worked hard to learn it.

"I've boosted humans before, so I know that feeling. With Rosa... it's different," Cali said, messing her beautiful hair as she slumped on the table. "It's not demonic feeling either. I don't know what to make of it, to be honest. I've never experienced anything like that before."

Aegon fell into deep thought. Because of her Affinity, Cali's perception was very high when it came to matters like these, so he trusted her words greatly.

"You mean, she could be from other races?" Xavier asked, confused. "Then her disguise skills must be high. She looks the same as a human. But if she really wasn't human, why would Dean allow her inside?"

"That old man definitely knows something about her. He sees something we can't see," Aegon said, tapping his forehead. "He's weird, so I won't be surprised if he has weird plans involving her. Maybe that's why he let her in."

"Or maybe just think positively. Maybe he allowed her in because she's good to humans," Cali suggested.

"You don't know him, Cali." Aegon shook his head. "I refuse to believe it. If it was any other person, I might, but not with that old man."

"So, are we sure she isn't human?" Xavier asked.

"I don't have that feeling at least," Cali shrugged, closing her eyes. "Maybe I'm wrong. After all, if there was something wrong with her, His Majesty would have surely caught onto the abnormalities, right?"

"That's a good point," Aegon whispered before his eyes lit up as he took out his communication stone. "Why don't we just ask him directly?"

"Huh? You have that privilege?" Xavier was shocked. "Impressive, boy!"

"Apparently, I've been talking to him since ages ago," Aegon said, gritting his teeth. "Grandpa Sam was actually the Emperor Samuel Morningstar all along. Damn old man pranked me."

Something slipped down from the table before Cali jerked up again as she asked in shock, "No way! Right? You're joking?"

"Grandpa Sam! Sam! Samuel! Fucking hell!" Xavier cursed in disbelief. "So he was present on your first birthday too?"

"Oh my dear Goddess!" Cali took deep breaths to calm herself before throwing her head back. "I really should stop being surprised with you. You've been chuddy-buddy with one of the strongest beings."

"I also come from the strongest House, so why are you surprised?" Aegon rolled his eyes before calling Grandpa Sam.

"He's busy, right? How can he pick your call while being there?" Xavier asked.

"I don't give two fucks. If he wants his cigarette then he should pick up this call."
