10x Rewards: Becoming Invincible With My Sign-in System

Chapter 187: The End

Cali stood before her base, eyes darkened as she looked down at her hand. The one holding a bloody red spear given by Aegon. Raw destructive power coursed through her veins as it attempted to destroy her from the inside out.

Even as a Rank 5 Knight, she felt helpless against this power. Her grip tightened around the shaft as blood seeped out from the many wounds the spear inflicted on her hand.

Just holding it threatened to rupture her hand entirely, which made her grimace as she thought, 'This guy! What the hell did he do?'

She couldn't even understand. All he did was hand this spear over and give her instructions. He said she would take his team to victory.

'And I'll do it!'

Once Aegon made everyone disperse, her grin widened as she gripped the spear tightly, more blood seeping into it. Then she planted her leg forward, leaning slightly to get into the perfect posture.

Pulling her hand backward, she mumbled, "Boost! Boost!… Boost!….. BOOST!!!"

Each boost increased the destructive power of the spear, making it heavier and more damaging to her own arm. She felt like someone had placed a giant volcano on her hand, crushing her under both weight and heat.

Still, she pushed herself past her limit, enchanting the spear with as many Boosts as she could.

Crimson lightning began dancing around the spear as several other elements affected the atmosphere around her, which in turn sent jolts of pain coursing throughout her body.

Nonetheless, her toothy grin remained on her face as she shouted loudly and whipped her arm forward, throwing the spear with all her might and strength.

The enemies belatedly realized her intentions, but they had already distanced themselves, so they could only watch as the spear tore through the battlefield, destroying everything in its wake.

Even the enhanced ground and surroundings of the Supremacy Games couldn't repair the damage rapidly like before.

The bloody spear crossed the distance between the two bases in seconds and crushed the last remaining turret of the Ash Domain in an instant, as if it meant nothing at all.

Its power and presence faced no resistance whatsoever from the turret as it continued on its path and, right under everyone's shocked gazes, struck the Ash Domain's base.

For a moment, nothing happened.

Then, chaos ensued.

A towering, blazing pillar surrounded by crimson lightning rose from the Ash Domain's base, as if it wanted to become greater than a mountain. Or perhaps it already was.

Raphael, Cali, and everyone else watched as the pillar rose higher and bigger with every moment before a terrible shockwave blasted everyone off their feet.

The Marksman and Jungler of the Ash Domain died from the horrifying impact, while the others barely managed to cling to their lives.

The destruction grew stronger and stronger, as if it would consume everything, but then an oppressive, ancient aura descended on the battlefield.

The air felt choking as every single being, including those imprisoned in the base, dropped to their knees except Aegon.

He stood rooted in his place as his soul experienced pain beyond anything he had felt before. But more than pain, he felt horrified seeing his Soul Sea being covered with dark, oppressive clouds.

'System, you there?' he asked.

[No need to worry, Host. It's a lingering Will of this battlefield. Not harmful at all.]

'Then what am I experiencing?' he asked, still staring at the dark clouds.

[I am not sure about it. My intelligence and knowledge are limited, Host. But I have a few guesses.]

'I have guesses too!' Aegon said, returning to his physical body. 'We will talk later. Perhaps I can ask Kai too. This is more interesting.'

Right before his eyes, the destructive pillar that was growing stronger every second suddenly froze, as if the spacetime around it had frozen as well.

Then it began shrinking. Smaller and smaller. Before too long, it vanished completely, along with that terrifying pressure that had covered them before.

As everyone finally managed to breathe again, all eyes turned toward the Ash Domain's base, which now lay in ruins. Even the Spider's statue had broken into pieces.

Then the clouds above the Snow Domain churned in happiness as a massive blizzard covered the entire battlefield, changing the very topography of the Ash Domain.

Raphael sagged against a boulder, staring at the changes… at his defeat. The realization came crashing down on him as he breathed heavily.

'I lost?'

He felt ridiculous. He had prepared so much, trained the best talents with immense resources. All because he wanted to shine at this one moment, to prove to the world that he deserved that throne.

Yet he lost it all to a sixteen-year-old boy.

'Is this what happens when a prodigy is born in your era?' Raphael wondered, watching as the Snow Domain consumed the Ash Domain.

He knew his team wasn't weak. Rather, they were the strongest. He firmly believed that, and the fact that they pushed Aegon's team so far proved it.

If only Aegon hadn't been born in his era, he would have won this match and his fame would rise.

A wry smile formed on his lips as he thought, 'Is this the end? Am I really going to lose everything and die simply because I was born in the wrong era?'

Raphael knew his fate well. He tried to defy it and failed, so now it weighed heavily on his soul.

He closed his eyes, letting the Supremacy Games transfer him outside.

'I lost!'

Meanwhile, Aegon stood beside his teammates as they cheered for their victory. But his gaze remained on the distant Fifth Prince.

'Was I wrong in my judgment?'

He had assumed Raphael was sick in the head and acted out of greed for the throne. Even Samuel said he wasn't suited for it.

But at this moment, his mask seemed to crack, letting Aegon see something deep inside him. A hidden melancholy surfaced for the first time on this eccentric Prince's face.

Aegon didn't like it. Not at all.

'I've won… but have I really?'
