Aegon knew Rosa had touched a nerve which Elara was incredibly sensitive to, but he didn't focus on it. It was their internal matter, so even if he wanted to solve it, he couldn't, but that didn't mean he ignored everything.
He kept every conversation they had in his head but didn't say anything. All he wanted now was to wait for the perfect opportunity. So he just listened to their conversation and ignored it for the time being.
After all, there were more important matters to deal with currently.
The explosion still blurred everything for them, but he knew Raphael wouldn't be defeated so easily. Still, he was happy with the results.
'Give more destruction.'
Unlike the outside world, the Supremacy Games battlefield was special. So in no time, everything reverted back to normal, and they could see their enemies once again.
Encased in a shimmering golden barrier, all of them huddled together as they looked ahead, fear clear in their eyes. Even Raphael's face turned somber.
"El! If you can continue, please do so!" Aegon said as he also prepared himself.
"Easy!"
With that, Elara jumped into action as she raised her hand and released a thick moonlight arrow. In the next second, thousands of moonlight arrows turned the sky deep blue as they rained down on every part of the battlefield.
Raphael's team, which was advancing, stopped as the Tank put his shield above himself and roared, attracting all the arrows coming for his team toward him.
He succeeded in defending, but before he could rejoice or prepare for the next attack, a second yellow arrow exploded right beside him, engulfing him in seething fire.
Raphael hurriedly reduced the arrow's damage and used his defensive artefacts to deal with the explosion and the incoming arrows.
His face turned grim as he thought, 'Is this his trick… or her strength?'
He couldn't even fathom how someone could be so terrifying. They were all the same rank and elites among elites. How could she be pushing against all of them all alone? If he didn't have his defensive artefacts, he doubted he could survive such an onslaught.
Even a Tank died just like that.
'What is this power?' Raphael wondered, clutching his chest. 'Am I scared of her?'
Even if he wanted to deny it, he knew it was true. The strength Elara showed changed his understanding of geniuses.
'Is this what the peak of a race looks like?'
Raphael took a deep breath and raised his head, suppressing the despair welling up in his heart. 'It doesn't matter. I want to win this. I need to win this to have a future.'
Pushing more mana into the defensive artefacts, he shouted to his scared teammates, "Fear not! This definitely has a limit. Even if it doesn't, I'll make sure you reach the base."
He smiled and said, trying to ignore the thousands of arrows destroying everything around him, "She's a Marksman. Once we're at the base, we'll kill her and destroy their base."
Although it did little to increase his teammates' motivation, they straightened up and prepared to fight again.
'Good!'
Just like that, he used everything in his arsenal to push against the one-sided slaughter of Elara's attacks. The closer he got, the more horrified he became.
'There is no limit!' he realized in terror.
Elara still held her calm expression as she shot devastating arrows one by one at such a rapid speed that her hands turned into a blur.
'What a monster!'
"Kill her!" Raphael said to his Jungler as they arrived closer to the destroyed core turret. "Raxem and I will draw her attention."
Taking a deep breath once again, he dispelled his fears and let the barrier drop. A second hadn't even passed before tens of arrows came flying at him, ready to skewer him.
The Fighter quickly blocked the attacks and roared in his Berserker state. Using the opportunity, Raphael cast his strongest spell as he muttered, "Crown of the Rising Sun!"
A solar field manifested around Elara, trapping her within as her movements slowed down, her clarity and vision blurring while her HP bar slowly began to drain.
The Jungler quickly went for the kill as she entered the Solar Field, experiencing a boost in all her stats as she sliced Elara's neck with eerie precision.
The Solar Field vanished into thin air as Elara turned into particles.
Raphael dropped to one knee, panting hard as he raised his head, still convinced that they would win with this. Just as he looked up, his eyes caught Aegon standing beside the Eight-Winged Dragon's statue with a massive grin on his face.
'I was right! She used her own powers all along!' Raphael instantly went on alert as he also warned his teammates. 'What did you do, Aegon Valeria?'
All of a sudden, a bluish aura rose around Aegon before engulfing him completely. Raphael felt chills run down his spine as he heard Aegon's cold words echo everywhere.
"Immortality!!"
"Disperse! Attack him from a distance and wait!" Raphael shouted, feeling his heartbeat quicken as he himself launched backward to create distance between Aegon and himself.
Since Aegon had already used it once, Raphael guessed the skill's function beforehand, so he knew engaging in close combat was stupid. He just had to wait until the form disappeared.
His team followed his orders and dispersed in different directions to stay away from Aegon, while the Marksman prepared to attack.
Raphael pointed his staff forward as Aegon jumped and came crashing down near him, but all Raphael did was retreat even further while throwing a thick Light Beam at him.
His teammates also didn't hold back, unloading all their skills on him even though they knew it was futile.
Much to their surprise, all the attacks landed on Aegon, rapidly dropping his HP bar. As their eyes widened in shock, Aegon laughed loudly and shouted.
"April's Fool Day!"
Finally, his HP bar hit zero, and he turned into particles that dispersed into the wind.
Dumbfounded by the sudden turn of events, Raphael's team stood rooted in place. He himself only managed to snap back to his senses a few seconds later.
'He tricked us!'
Hurriedly, he looked up and found someone he had overlooked in the pressure and shock.
A tall woman with short, flowing deep-blue hair stood before the Snow Domain's base, her hand holding a single bloody spear.
