My College Teacher is My Children's Mom

Chapter 511 The Clown Is Really Me

「Early the next morning.」

Xiao Bao was rolling around, sniffing her way over to Zhang Yuxi to beg for food.

Zhang Yuxi, still half-asleep, was nursing Xiao Bao when she felt someone helping her. "Thanks, honey!"

Lin Feng kissed her forehead. "I'll go make breakfast!"

After making breakfast and returning to the room, he saw the mother and daughter lying together. Xiao Bao was playing with her own hands, a curious look on her face.

As soon as she saw Lin Feng, she kicked her little legs and stretched out her arms, asking for a hug.

Lin Feng smiled and picked Xiao Bao up. "Let's go. We're going to wake up your big brothers and sister!"

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK...

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK...

Lin Feng carried Xiao Bao to find yesterday's crab, placed her in her stroller, and set the crab on the floor.

After he finished tidying up, the four older children gradually woke up.

Da Bao was the first. He stretched, washed up, and then squatted in front of Xiao Bao. "Good morning, Xiao Bao! Mwah!"

Xiao Bao frowned, her displeasure written all over her face as she waved her little hand to shoo him away.

Da Bao looked hurt. "What, you don't like your big brother anymore? You want me to leave?"

Lin Feng, standing nearby, explained, "She's telling you to move. You're blocking her view of the crab."

"Oh! Then I'll move for you!"

Da Bao shifted his bottom and saw the crab scuttling about. He had a flash of inspiration. "I'll find a string to tie it up. That way, the crab won't run off where we can't see it."

With that, he scampered off to look for a string.

Er Bao waved at Xiao Bao. "Ah, Xiao Bao is as adorable as ever today! Come on, let your big sister Er Bao give you a hug!"

She then picked up Xiao Bao and showered her with kisses, making the baby giggle.

San Bao came over and watched everything with a smile, waiting for the right moment. "Big Sister Er Bao, can I hold her for a while?"

Er Bao reluctantly handed Xiao Bao to San Bao and started playing with the crab on the floor.

Lin Feng asked, "Er Bao, is the crab fun to play with?"

"It is!"

"Then are you going to eat breakfast?"

"I am!"

"So?"

Er Bao could be a bit clueless sometimes and didn't catch what her father was hinting at. She just paused, confused.

San Bao sighed. "Big Sister Er Bao, Dad is telling you to go eat."

Er Bao let go of the crab and said cheerfully, "Coming!"

Da Bao returned and took Xiao Bao from San Bao's arms. "Good morning, Xiao Bao!"

As usual, Si Bao was the last to wake up.

Once the other children were seated, Lin Feng noticed one was still missing. He knocked on the bedroom door, only to see Si Bao sleeping like a prince.

Without a word, Lin Feng placed Xiao Bao on the bed to wake him.

Si Bao woke up, saw her, and scooped Xiao Bao into his arms with a smile.

Xiao Bao kicked her legs. Si Bao caught her tiny feet and kissed them. "Good morning, little sister Xiao Bao!"

Xiao Bao rolled over and kicked out again.

Si Bao watched her play happily, occasionally playing along, before getting up to change his clothes. After washing up, he carried Xiao Bao to the dining room.

Sure enough, everyone else had nearly finished eating. He was the only one left.

San Bao took Xiao Bao from Si Bao and showed off his handiwork. "Look, Xiao Bao! With this string, the crab can't run away. Isn't that great?"

He answered himself, "Of course, it's great! Come on, let's go walk the crab!"

Da Bao started walking the crab while Si Bao held Xiao Bao and watched. Er Bao saw this and scoffed. So childish.

The next second, however, she joined in and even proposed a new game. "One crab isn't enough! Let's get more crabs and have a crab race!"

Si Bao was the first to agree. Da Bao had no objections, and while San Bao didn't say anything, he tacitly consented.

Lin Feng said, "Count me in."

And so, Da Bao, Er Bao, and Si Bao went to catch crabs.

"It's cold by the sea in the morning. Put Xiao Bao down!" Lin Feng called out.

Just as San Bao finished his breakfast, he smoothly took Xiao Bao from Si Bao. "I'll take her."

Lin Feng knew that whenever the quads were on vacation, he'd never get a chance to hold Xiao Bao.

In less than twenty minutes, the three returned with a small bucket full of crabs.

Er Bao suggested, "How about this? We can make some racetracks and have a competition!"

"What's the wager?" she asked.

Si Bao tilted his head, thinking. "Money, I guess!"

Er Bao pouted. "That's so tacky. The loser has to do the winner's chores!"

Si Bao fell silent. He was terrible at chores! If he lost, it would just make things worse for him. No way!

Da Bao came over. "How about the loser performs a talent?"

Er Bao glanced at San Bao and Da Bao. "What do you two think?"

They both indicated they had no objections and would accept anything.

Er Bao shook her head. "You two are so indecisive. Let's just do it our way!"

Da Bao said, "They're richer than us and like doing chores more than we do, so they aren't afraid."

Great. So in the end, I'm the clown.

Er Bao asked for Lin Feng and Zhang Yuxi's opinions.

Zhang Yuxi smiled. "I'm fine with anything!"

Lin Feng had the same attitude.

This gave Er Bao a bit of a headache. A competition had to have stakes to be interesting.

Once Si Bao and Da Bao finished setting up the racetracks, Er Bao slapped the table.

"Alright, one hundred bucks!"

Unexpectedly, Si Bao got carried away. "One hundred is no fun. It's rare we get to play like this, so let's make it one hundred and fifty."

Er Bao got even more carried away, proposing, "One fifty is hard to calculate. Let's just make it two hundred."

Da Bao steeled himself. "Two hundred it is! Let's go!"

Although each of them had assets of at least one million, among the quads, San Bao, Si Bao, and Er Bao were all adept at making money—especially San Bao and Er Bao, whose earnings were astronomical. As the "poor one," Da Bao was still quite frugal.

And so, they each picked a crab, and the race began.

Xiao Bao sat in Lin Feng's arms, dangling her legs and watching with sparkling eyes.

The little crabs were full of energy, scurrying straight ahead. They were a far cry from the ones in the small pond, which, lacking any competitive pressure, were content to laze around.

First round, Si Bao won.

Second round, Er Bao won.

Third round, San Bao won.

Even Zhang Yuxi won a round.

After several races, everyone had won at least once. Everyone, that is, except for Da Bao. He hadn't won a single time.

He let out a cry and grabbed Xiao Bao's little feet. "Xiao Bao, your big brother Da Bao is losing so badly! How about a kiss to cheer me up?"

Xiao Bao kicked her little legs, laughing as if telling him to go away!

In the very end, even after switching to a different crab, he never won a single race from start to finish.

Da Bao gazed up at the sky. I really am the clown!
