My College Teacher is My Children's Mom

Chapter 515: The Versailles Exchange Meeting

After hanging up the phone, Lin Feng turned his head to see Xiao Bao gripping the hem of his clothes, wanting a hug.

Lin Feng chuckled and picked up Xiao Bao. "Are you hungry? Let's go find Mom."

After the New Year, Xiao Bao would be six months old, and it was time to start introducing him to solid foods.

On the day the report cards were distributed, the kids brought their little trinkets to school. Many parents attended the parent-teacher meeting. However, as the consistent top-ranked students in their grade, the quadruplets didn't need their parents at all. They could hold their own parent-teacher meeting and just relay the contents to their mom and dad later!

Teachers are generally more lenient toward students with good grades.

Once everyone was seated, the quadruplets distributed the small gifts they had brought to their classmates. They didn't play favorites; everyone got the same thing, including all their teachers. The quadruplets' homeroom teachers consulted with each other and decided to do something different by holding a seminar.

The topic of the seminar was the study experiences and insights of the four of them.

The parents sat while their children stood behind them.

"Today, I've asked the students to stay so that you and your parents can listen together to how other people's children study," the homeroom teacher announced.

After she finished speaking, the top ten students in the class took turns going on stage to share their study tips. Most relied on rote memorization, taking extensive notes on problems they didn't understand, and plowing through practice questions. It was crucial to remember the key points emphasized by the teacher and learn how to apply them.

Soon, it was time for the stars of the school to speak.

First up was Third Treasure from Class Four.

Third Treasure thought for a moment before speaking. "Why don't we do this? If any of you have questions about studying, you can ask me."

A student stood up. "Why is your English so good?"

Third Treasure smiled faintly. "Everyone knows I perform a lot and travel to many places. Because of the environment I'm in, my English has naturally improved. It's a case of practice makes perfect."

"My dad speaks seven or eight languages, and under his influence, we've all picked up a bit."

Damn it, forget it! They have a powerhouse for a dad! the crowd thought.

Third Treasure seemed to know what they were thinking. "Even though my dad knows many languages, studying is our own responsibility. He has never interfered with or tutored us on our homework, not since kindergarten. We've always studied on our own and managed our own affairs."

Another student asked, "So how do you study? Do you have any tips? Do you use any specific review books?"

Other students chimed in, hoping Third Treasure would share some useful educational materials.

She shook her head. "I don't have any special tricks. I just absorb what the teacher says in class, and if I don't understand something, I ask the teacher after class. I finish my homework at school if I can, and if not, I do it at home. Once I'm done, I go practice my music. The others do the same. We each go to our own rooms to do our homework, and then we do whatever we want."

One parent was completely incredulous. "You've never taken any tutoring classes? It's been like this for all these years?"

Third Treasure shook her head again. "No, I really haven't. None of us have ever been to a tutoring class!"

Damn it, that was completely useless, everyone thought. This wasn't a sharing session at all; it was a lecture in humblebragging.

After Third Treasure stepped down, Big Treasure took the stage. As the top student in the entire grade, the boy who had earned perfect scores in math, physics, and chemistry, the parents and students below all hoped he would say something useful.

"It's true that we don't attend tutoring classes," Big Treasure stated. "We don't have time. We're all quite busy."

"We get home at six and do our homework until seven, then we go straight downstairs for dinner. After dinner ends at seven-thirty, we take turns doing housework. Around eight o'clock, my sister, Third Treasure, goes to practice her sheet music, and my brother, Fourth Treasure, practices taekwondo. I occasionally join him.

"From eight to nine, my sister, Second Treasure, locks herself in her studio to work on her designs. After all, she has design quotas to meet and has to produce at least one new piece a month!

"As for me, I'll do some of the interesting experiments from our textbooks, play Sudoku, or read some extracurricular books. We all have to be in bed by nine-thirty."

Big Treasure spoke with utter seriousness, leaving the parents and children in the audience wide-eyed with disbelief.

Holy crap, they finish all their homework in one hour!

Meanwhile, from the moment they got home, they did nothing but write, write, write, usually finishing around one in the morning. Students with poorer grades took even longer!

Is this really the world of a top student?

Many students believed him because the quadruplets never replied to messages after nine-thirty. Most of the time when people looked for them, they were out having fun!

The teacher felt that if Big Treasure continued, he would crush the morale of the entire class and their parents. She quickly interjected, "In terms of studying, do you have any small tricks you can share?"

Big Treasure replied, "Pay attention in class. If you don't understand something, ask. Don't pretend you get it when you don't."

The teacher nodded. "Anything else?"

Big Treasure thought for a moment. "Go to bed early. Otherwise, you'll be groggy in class, and it will affect your ability to listen."

The other students were in agony.

Sleep? As if! We haven't even finished our homework, how are we supposed to sleep!

Many parents remained skeptical.

The teacher sighed. "Some of the students here came straight from our affiliated middle school, so their parents know their situation well. They really don't attend any tutoring classes. Often, they finish their homework during self-study periods at school. Perhaps they have a natural gift for learning, but it's undeniable that they possess an attitude and diligence that other students lack."

Second Treasure's approach was much the same as Big Treasure's. There were no special study tricks. Just read more to enrich yourself, and leave time to do the things you enjoy.

The parent-teacher meeting ended. The students had learned the techniques, but putting them into practice would be incredibly difficult.

It could all be summarized in one sentence: Focus in class and ask if you don't understand. After class, do what you love!

When they all got home and mulled it over, they came to a single conclusion.

Damn it, that's just humblebragging! It'll never work for us.

Although they suspected the quadruplets were holding back, the facts were undeniable.
