The White Wolf vaguely remembers being a scholar, or perhaps an herbalist, named Ola.
Ola enjoyed researching herbs, often traveling through the Northern Wasteland, searching for various exotic herbs.
Now, as a White Wolf, he still searches for various herbs. However, whereas he used to pick them with his hands, he now has to dig with claws or bite with teeth.
Ola remembers that day, when he was gathering herbs in the desert.
Or perhaps because of some matter, he needed to leave the desert.
Ola doesn't remember.
He only recalls encountering a group of ugly Lizardmen.
Ola attempted to communicate.
But those Lizardmen crazily pursued Ola.
Ola had no choice but to turn and flee into the Icefield Mountain Range.
Then, Ola encountered a fierce Icefield White Wolf.
In the panic of fleeing, an avalanche occurred in the Icefield Mountain Range, and Ola remembers falling into a glacier crevice along with that Icefield White Wolf.
During the fall, ice spikes pierced through Ola's chest, making him completely lose consciousness.
When he awoke again, Ola found himself lying on a stone platform filled with intricate patterns.
It looked like an altar, or perhaps ancient ruins.
Ola wasn't sure.
Ola only knew that his corpse lay beside him.
The corpse's face was already pale, the blood had drained, covering the whole stone platform.
Ola walked to the mirror-like glacier's surface, then discovered he had turned into an Icefield White Wolf.
At that moment, Ola's mind was in complete chaos, like a small boat in a storm, totally at a loss.
Occasionally, the bloodthirsty, savage instincts of the White Wolf would take over, hunting prey relentlessly, devouring raw flesh and blood.
Once his stomach was full, human reasoning would return, and Ola would be overcome by deep regret and self-loathing.
In those initial days, it seemed as if Ola's soul had been torn in half, unbearably painful.
He desperately searched for answers in the ruins, hoping to return to human form, but the empty ruins offered no answers.
Ola could only drag his wolf body away from the ruins, wandering aimlessly.
More than once, he even thought of ending this pain on his own.
Until Luma appeared.
This beautiful female stayed by Ola's side, helping him find the joy in being a White Wolf.
At that time, Ola was in a chaotic, violent state, roaming the wasteland and forest, slaughtering various creatures wantonly.
Bison, giant bears, wild boars — all became souls under Ola's claws.
Even most magical beasts were no match for Ola.
And when Luma found Ola, she quietly followed, picking up what Ola left behind.
Ola knew Luma was following but ignored her, letting the little she-wolf tag along.
Perhaps because she ate a lot of magical beast flesh, Luma also mutated, becoming a giant wolf.
Until one time, after a disastrous battle with an Icefield Giant Bear, Luma appeared in time to drag Ola away, hiding him in a cave to heal.
The two wolves naturally became companions after spending day and night together.
Luma's companionship gave Ola the courage and purpose to live on.
Though, many times, Luma couldn't think like a human; her name, given by Ola, meant soul-healing adorable beast.
Even during mating season, Luma would return to her beastly instincts, incessantly turning her rear to Ola.
But because of this, Ola gradually accepted his new identity and eventually got used to being an Icefield White Wolf, building his own family with Luma.
"Ola…"
Luo De murmured the White Wolf's name after hearing the story.
His mind was in chaos.
No wonder he could write in the Empire's language.
No wonder he understood the rules of the noble territories.
No wonder he was so easy-going.
Luo De reassessed the White Wolf before him.
Wasn't the name Ola the same as that Count?
Everyone thought Ola was dead.
It turns out Ola became a White Wolf!
This story is too incredible, right?
Even a knight novel couldn't make it up, right?
Luo De took a deep breath, slowly exhaled, calming his emotions.
"Do you really not remember your identity?"
White Wolf Ola slightly shook his head, wrote in the snow,
"After becoming a White Wolf, I lost many human memories, finding it increasingly hard to recall."
Luo De nodded, not revealing too much directly.
"I didn't expect your identity to be so bizarre; no wonder you mentioned focusing on one thing and emphasized your family."
Luo De approvingly nodded,
"Turns out she's your wife through hardships."
White Wolf Ola slightly shook his head, then wrote,
"It's in my nature."
"Wolves have relatively fixed mates. Even a Wolf King rarely has more than three female partners."
"Oh."
This surprised Luo De a bit.
"It's okay, you and Luma can have more,"
Luo De returned to his usual self, smiling as he said, "I'll take care of raising them; you two just focus on producing."
A wolf litter can have four to six pups, and Luma's current litter is considered very few.
They can reproduce once a year.
Luo De believed that as long as there was plenty of food, his Wolf Cavalry team would ultimately come to fruition.
Ola sighed helplessly.
Seeing Luo De's persistent gaze, he finally nodded slightly.
"Don't worry, I will surely protect your children and your family well."
Luo De happily petted Ola's wolf-head, which the latter moved away from, refusing.
"By the way, I saw one of your pups is a silver White Wolf like you."
Luo De stared straight at Ola, "Is it male?"
Ola slowly nodded his wolf-head, his ice-blue eyes full of doubt.
"Good, then your son can have three mates."
Luo De said cheerfully,
