Farming with Entries: From Lord to Emperor

Chapter 177: If You Don’t Eat It Use It as Compost

...

...

The edge of the Razor Plain.

In the cave.

Gang Le sat by the fire, squinting at the map in his hand.

Beside him were Chris, Tucson, and the Snow Rabbit Person, Kael.

The map was densely packed with markings of mountains, rivers, lakes, and various caves.

In addition, there were also markings for the Lizardmen's camp and the burial pits.

Tucson discovered thirteen patches of freshly turned earth within dozens of kilometers which all seemed to be burial pits.

Even if each pit contained only twenty or thirty corpses, together there would be hundreds.

"Even if, as Tucson said, it's some kind of ritual, it wouldn't require so many burial pits, right?"

Chris voiced his doubts while looking at the map,

"We found only twenty-six Lizardmen in the camp, it can't be the Lord's Bloodscale Tribe camp."

"Those huts look to be hastily assembled, just a temporary stopover."

"Do the Lizardmen really conduct rituals away from their own camp?"

"It doesn't make sense."

Chris analyzed, "We must inform the Lord about this."

"We didn't think of these things without a knight like you leading the way."

Gang Le gave Chris a thumbs up, "I prefer working with knights like you, no need to think at all."

"You're right, the Bloodscale Tribe has merged with many Lizardman tribes, there must be more than this."

Gang Le gazed at the map, "But we can't just leave, at least take the Snow Rabbit People with us."

"Meanwhile, capture a few Lizardmen prisoners and we can extract information from them."

"Alright."

Chris nodded, with a hint of fierceness in his tone,

"But in that case, we should slay all those Lizardmen."

"Without any Lizardmen returning to report, the Bloodscale Tribe wouldn't know what happened when they notice something's wrong."

"Let's go with your plan!"

Gang Le grinned and patted Chris on the shoulder, "Then make a good plan for us."

Chris nodded,

"I have a plan but it needs someone's cooperation."

Chris's gaze shifted from the map to his side.

Kael was brushing his rabbit fur, realizing the cave had suddenly grown silent.

Curiously, he looked up to find Chris and Gang Le staring at him.

Kael was puzzled,

"Me?"

...

...

Noon.

In the dense pine forest covered with snow.

Kamas's tail was raised as he squatted in a corner of the forest, staring wide-eyed, growling low in his throat.

Squish—

With a strong push, a dark long thing finally squeezed out, and a pungent stench instantly permeated the forest.

He exhaled deeply, enjoying the relief.

After a series of crackling noises, the pristine snow was covered in filth.

Lizardmen had no habit of wiping their bottoms; Kamas vigorously shook his rear and rubbed it directly on the snow.

Then he stooped to pick up his shield and Wolf Fang Club, ready to return to his unit.

Most Alien Races had no concept of toilets, settling their business wherever convenient.

Even in the tribe, they'd step out of tents and relieve themselves on the spot.

But this time, the leader ordered not to relieve themselves near the burial pits.

So he hid in this remote forest corner to take care of business.

Feeling relieved after finishing, Kamas was about to leave when a strange rustling sound came from the pine forest beside him.

Fast and rhythmic.

Neither the wind nor the sound of snow falling from the pines.

Kamas quickly turned his head, muscles under his scales tensed, gripping his Wolf Fang Club tightly,

"Who? Who's there!?"

As Kamas's voice fell, a small figure dashed out of the forest, sprinting away!

"Slave?"

Kamas's pupils shrank, rage erupting from his chest,

"Stop right there!"

Damn it!

These Snow Rabbit People weren't just to dig pits, they were to be killed and buried afterward, no one should escape!

Otherwise, the leader would surely whip him!

But the shout did not stop the Snow Rabbit Person, who ran even faster.

Kamas swung his Wolf Fang Club and started sprinting,

"A slave has escaped! Someone come quickly!"

His roar immediately caught the attention of the other Lizardmen, and within moments, five or six figures emerged from the forest behind.

They spotted Kamas running, and then noticed the fleeing Snow Rabbit Person.

"Chase!"

With the Lizardmen in pursuit, the clean and pristine snow was instantly covered with footprints.

In such snowy forests, even though the Snow Rabbit Person was fast, their footprints clearly marked the escape route.

Kamas followed the footsteps, with the other Lizardmen close behind.

Soon they found the Snow Rabbit had run into a valley.

And there, it was a dead end, the front leading to a sheer slope, like a cliff.

No matter how skilled, the Snow Rabbit Person couldn't scale the snow-covered steep slope.

Kamas's lips curled into a sharp-toothed grin,

"Run? Can you escape, you cowardly fool of a rabbit?"

Kamas panted heavily, his voice echoing through the woods.

He quickened his pace, the Wolf Fang Club clashing against the shield, emitting a piercing thud.

The other Lizardmen caught up, forming a fan shape to surround the valley.

"Come out, little rabbit!"

"You can't escape!"

Kamas's face twisted into a vicious smile,

"If you don't come out, I'll cut off your ears and roast them!"

After the roar, the valley fell into a dead silence.

No response came.

Only the cold wind swept through, stirring up snowflakes like grains of sand.
