Farming with Entries: From Lord to Emperor

Chapter 177: If You Can't Eat It Compost It (Part 3)

"Tucson, keep an eye on them!"

Tucson responded to Chris by indicating the Lizardmen's positions and controlled the Eagles to harass the leading Lizardmen.

With a pincer attack from both sides, in the blink of an eye, only two Lizardmen were left.

They had absolutely no escape route and were directly forced back into the burial pits.

"Don't let a single one go!"

Gang Le and the others closely followed behind, and the three Lizardmen left to guard were instantly impaled to the ground by Long Spears before they even realized what was happening.

The Snow Rabbit People of the White Claw Tribe, digging on the open ground, had no idea what was unfolding, their screams echoing as they turned to flee.

"Anyone who runs, kill them!"

Gang Le yelled loudly, while Kael shouted urgently, ordering all the Snow Rabbit People to lie down quietly.

The fear of death made the Snow Rabbit People freeze instantly, huddled together, trembling.

"It's over, all settled."

Tucson let the Eagle scout the surroundings and reported, "Only the four Lizardmen guarding the temporary camp are left now."

Gang Le nodded and said, "I'll take people to deal with those remaining four, Chris, you take people to clean up here."

"I'll go with you."

Chris thought for a moment, "Let's be more cautious."

"Then who will clean the battlefield here and manage these Snow Rabbit People?" Gang Le asked.

Chris turned to look at Kael.

Kael was stunned for a moment, "Me again?"

"You did well as bait earlier, and these Snow Rabbit People don't understand the common language; only you can communicate with them."

Chris said seriously, "You're very suitable to handle this here."

Then Chris pointed at the Snow Rabbit People slaves,

"Have them dig out the bodies from the burial pits nearby and burn them using those pine branches with resin."

"Oh, alright."

Kael nodded obediently.

At this moment, Gang Le stepped forward, "Wait a minute, let me chime in."

"Pick out the animal ones, we'll take them."

"Huh?"

Chris was momentarily stunned and said, "Lord Gang Le, they're all covered in blood and dirt."

"And they've been left for so many days..."

"What's wrong with being left for so many days?"

Gang Le replied indifferently, "They're not spoiled."

"Clearly, you've never suffered hardship."

Gang Le patted Chris on the shoulder, "Ask those soldiers; they've barely had a few good days. In the past, when there was no food, they even ate tree bark."

"Besides, we won't eat the skin, the meat inside is fine."

Chris nodded.

Indeed, he was being fussy.

Gang Le didn't mind, saying, "Let's go, quickly deal with the remaining Lizardmen."

"Wait a moment."

Kael suddenly spoke, pointing at the Lizardmen's corpses,

"How do we handle these Lizardmen corpses? Burn them together?"

"First strip their skin."

Gang Le said without hesitation,

"These Lizardmen are so resistant to cold, their skin must be very warm."

He kicked the corpse on the ground.

"Bring it back to make gloves or fur coats."

"Hmm, the meat probably isn't useful."

Gang Le frowned.

He had no interest in eating these Lizardmen.

Gang Le believed Lord wouldn't eat them either.

"Could use it as compost."

A soldier nearby spoke up,

"The Lord said before, rotting meat and organs can be used as fertilizer, I've studied this before."

"You reminded me, the Lord still has taxes to collect!"

Gang Le suddenly slapped his forehead,

"Then take it all back, cut off the heads of the remaining aliens and take them, burn the bodies."

Gang Le instructed Kael, "Use the Lizardmen's cart; it's a pity there's only one, otherwise, we'd take them all."

In the eyes of some cruel aliens, humans are food.

And humans treat merciless aliens like animals, but most cannot consider aliens food.

Most people, except for those extremely starving and some nobles with peculiar taste.

Kael's people were often eaten by Lizardmen, so he didn't feel Gang Le's orders were excessive, nodding decisively,

"Alright."

"Then this place is up to you, Kael."

Gang Le looked at Chris,

"Let's go."

Gang Le and Chris swiftly led thirty soldiers to assault the Lizardmen's temporary camp.

With only four Lizardmen left to guard and Tucson providing aerial support, there were no unexpected incidents; all were taken down.

Twenty-six Lizardmen, twenty-two were slain, the rest captured.

A raging fire burned the Lizardmen camp clean, with Gang Le pressing the Snow Rabbit People slaves and Lizardmen captives onto the return path.

While Chris, along with Tucson, continued scouting ahead to perfect the map and destroy burial pits.

...

...

In the Black Pine Ridge Wilderness.

Hundreds of farmers wrapped in fur coats wielded hoes and pickaxes, hit the frozen ground with all their strength.

In two days, they cleared the snow, softened the frozen ground with firewood, and managed to turn fifteen acres into arable land.

Though farmers followed orders to plow the land, complaints couldn't stop spilling from their mouths.

"Why do we have to plow land in winter?"

A tall farmer, panting, paused with his hoe.

"What can we plant now? Once the snow covers, won't it all freeze?"

He wiped sweat from his forehead, muttering.

Another old farmer quietly chimed in, voice hoarse, "I've lived over thirty years, never heard of farming in winter."

"What to plant? Who knows?"

Another farmer interjected, puzzled, "Perhaps the Lord has some rare seeds."

"What rare seeds could there be?"

The tall farmer sighed,

"Truly can't keep working... this good hoe's edge is rolled, what are we hoeing anymore."

"Really don't know what the Lord is thinking..."
