Farming with Entries: From Lord to Emperor

Chapter 177: If You Can't Eat It Compost It (Part 4)

Smack!

Before the words had even fully left his mouth, a sharp crack sliced through the air!

The whip lashed cruelly across the tall farmer's body, making him shiver and shrink his neck tightly!

"Shut up, all of you damned fools! Get to work properly!"

Luo Fei glared with wide eyes, his booming voice making the ears buzz.

The tightly gripped whip in his hand made him look ferocious.

Nowadays, Luo Fei was Otto's chief overseer, in charge of managing the frosty land reclamation work.

And Luo Fei was no longer the honest farmer; his temperament was more volatile than anyone else's.

He raised the whip and pointed at all the farmers, yelling loudly,

"You bunch of idiots, still daring to gossip about the Lord?"

Luo Fei spat on the ground, his powerful voice carrying a fierce edge: "When the Lord introduced the fertilizer, who among you believed it?"

"Who could have imagined this year's harvest would be so bountiful?"

"During spring plowing, did you dare think you'd have full bellies come winter?"

The farmers lowered their heads, necks drawn in, their hoes striking the earth repeatedly, with no one daring to speak up.

Luo Fei's words were like knives, piercing their hearts.

Luo Fei was not wrong.

Everyone remembered how in past winters, many people huddled in corners, starving, surviving on a single bowl of porridge each day.

But this year, the Lord used new fertilizer that made the crops grow like crazy.

The storerooms were filled with grain, who would dare say the Lord was wrong?

Luo Fei wasn't flattering the Lord.

He had not a single doubt.

Without the Lord, would he and his family have the life they had now?

Dream on!

That's why Luo Fei believed in the Lord's words without question.

The tall farmer murmured, "But the frosty land we plow can't be planted, right? The seeds would just freeze to death?"

"Shut your damn mouth!"

Luo Fei lashed out with the whip again.

The man shivered in fright and immediately shut his mouth.

"The Lord said to plant, so we plant!"

Luo Fei's eyes were fierce like a wolf's; he walked over and grabbed the tall farmer by the collar.

"Care to try talking back again?"

He spoke through clenched teeth, the words squeezed out from between them.

The farmer turned pale with fright, his lips quivering but not daring to make a sound.

"Useless, faster with your mouths than your hands,"

Luo Fei let go, glaring fiercely at everyone,

"Get to work!"

He shouted, his voice echoing across the Desert.

The farmers quickly put their heads down, swinging their hoes, the frozen earth cracking beneath them.

No one dared complain again, but each harbored their own doubts.

And just at that moment, a sudden scream came from the snow-clearing team in the distance,

"It's blue wheat seedlings!"

"Hahaha, I've got my ration for next month!"

Everyone was immediately drawn by the shout, turning to look.

"Everyone continue working!"

Luo Fei shouted, himself running over with the whip in hand.

At this point, a farmer had cleared away all the snow around him, carefully digging out the blue wheat seedlings on the ground.

The farmer was full of joy,

"Lord Luo Fei, I found it, this is what the Lord wants!"

"Are you sure?" Luo Fei asked doubtfully.

"Hehe..."

The farmer smiled without answering, "Please send someone to protect me to bring this back, and I'll buy you drinks tonight!"

"Alright."

Luo Fei didn't hesitate.

He knew this farmer had gone out with the Lord last time to delineate new fields.

And the order to reclaim land in winter was given after they came back.

The Lord must have discovered something important, and this farmer saw it too.

Luo Fei immediately beckoned to the soil-turning team to summon the soldiers, passing down the mission.

The soldiers knew this was an important order from the Lord, and promptly escorted the farmer with the blue wheat seedlings away.

Luo Fei watched the departing team, then turned his gaze back to the tall farmer who had been speaking earlier, and his anger flared once more.

He gripped the whip and seized the tall farmer again,

"You idiot, dare to question the Lord, come here!"
