My Cheat Skill Is Unlimited

Chapter 52: Underground cellar

"Is he your new son?" Jade asks, honored to have her village chief in her house, "He's so handsome." She placed a hand over her mouth, giggling as she eyed Lucian.

Wisteria smiled proudly, raising her head high. "Thank you, I like him better than the last one. If only there were a spell that could keep him from aging while he maintained his human genes."

Lucian dully moved around Jade's home. His lostful, cloudy eyes staring at nothing in particular.

"How is your daughter?" Wisteria asks. She was moving to different houses, checking on the new humans she distributed to her people.

"Marta is a sweet girl, very obedient and nice; she reminds me so much of my…" Sadness filled Jade's voice; she cast her head down as she thought of the past.

Wisteria grabs Jade's hands in comfort. "These new humans are your children; they are our children, so we have lost nothing."

Jade nodded and smiled, "Thank you so much, Chief."

"Mom, I brought some fresh tomatoes from the market as well." Marta's voice was cheerful as she walked into the house; she dropped the basket in her hands and respectfully greeted Wisteria. "Who is he?" Marta blushed when my eyes met Lucian's, who was standing close to the wall.

"Your daughter is so cheerful." Wisteria chuckled, "My daughter, on the other hand, it is difficult to make her act this bright; I think I'm going to have to use more magic on her."

Marta hugged Lucian from behind and shouted, "Mom, I'm getting married; I have found the love of my life."

'Marta!' Lucian thought. His head ached, his consciousness was trapped in a dark space, and his thoughts tried hard to break free. 'I can hear Marta's voice; where is she?' Lucian groaned, held his head, and broke out of Wisteria's mindless spell. He pushed the arms wrapped around him away and turned around.

"Marta?" Lucian's question. Marta's foggy eyes and smiley face quickly reminded him of the last time he had regained himself and the weird behavior he had seen Luna display.

'Something is wrong.' Lucian thought. 'What kind of magic is this?'

"Wake up!" Lucian shouted as he continuously shook Marta.

"That human." Jade stared wide-eyed in disbelief. "He broke free."

"Don't worry, I'm going to fix him." Wisteria moves quickly to place her hand on Lucian again, but Lucian quickly moves away from her.

'Last time she did that, I lost myself.' Lucian thought. He tried to summon his sword but failed. His magic felt locked up.

"How dare he!" Jade hands turn into sharp, long claws. "He's trying to use magic." She charged at Lucian, her claws targeted his neck, but Wisteria held her hand.

"He may be stubborn, but he's still my son. The only one allowed to discipline my son is me."

'What the hell?' Lucian thought, confused.

"I'm not your f*cking son." He spotted a fruit knife and grabbed it. "Stay away from me." He waves the knife in the air and stares at the exit door in Jade's house and then at Marta, wondering if he should run away alone or run away with Marta, but Marta wasn't in her right state of mind to follow him anyway.

"A child like you shouldn't play with a knife, dear; you are only going to hurt yourself, and I don't want that." Wisteria said in a warning tone, discreetly activating her fire element magic, making the knife in Lucian's hand too hot for him to handle until he let go of it. The knife immediately melted on the floor.

Within seconds, Wisteria was in front of Lucian, grabbing his cheek roughly with one hand as she cast a spell to make him lose his mind again. "Lucky for you that I like your face; if not, I would be slapping you so hard for raising a weapon against your mother."

Marta felt a nudge to move her body as her foggy eyes watched Lucian's struggling state, but she couldn't move. All she could do was obediently stand without making any movement, like Jade had ordered her.

"He's too much trouble, chief; I think it's best we kill him. You can take another human boy as your son." Jade suggested.

Wisteria smiled, and she stroked Lucian's cheek. "Hear that, son." She said obsessively, "Everyone keeps suggesting that I give up on you, but out of my mother love, I'm going to keep you and protect you."

Lucian was tied up, and even though he was placed under Wisteria's spell, a part of his subconsciousness could hear her voice, and another part of him was fighting hard to subdue him; it was obedient to Wisteria's every word.

"Who am I?" Wisteria asked. Checking if she needed to use yet again another stronger spell to keep Lucian in his zombie state.

"Mother." Lucian said, the words automatically pouring out of him. "You are my mother." He gave a forced, lopsided smile.

"Are you sure that he's fully under the enchantment?" Jade asks. She looks at Lucian. "Maybe we should lock him up in the underground cellar and monitor him for a few days before deciding if he's alright."

"You are not going to tell me what to do with my son." Wisteria said harshly as she rose to her feet. Lucian got off his knees and copied her action like a puppet.

Wisteria loosened the rope wrapped around Lucian before leaving Jade's house with Lucian behind her.

'Be a good boy,' Lucian thought, repeating Wisteria's words to himself. He used her words as a reminder to keep his cool and not lose it while everyone was watching, mostly Wisteria.

When Lucian was sure that everyone was asleep, he got out of his bed and examined his situation. Even though he was conscious and had not lost himself to Wisteria enchantment, he could still feel the magic she placed on him, fighting to drag him out of his conscious state.

"Why did my powers not work?" Lucian mumbled to himself. He didn't want to try activating his magic in Wisteria House; the use of mana would alert her.
