Silver blood pours out of Faye's blindfolded eyes as she is hit by a sudden vision. She stood still in place, her body floating in the air while her head tilted upward, and when her vision was done, Faye's body harshly hit the floor of her chambers as she lost composure over her magic.
"I finally saw something about him." She mumbled to herself, panic filling her voice, and she used her elbow to lift her head from the floor.
Since the game started, Faye had obsessively been trying to see into Lucian's future, but she gave up after trying for so long, and now that she has let her obsession for Lucian die, she is hit with a random vision she didn't ask for.
'Why now?' she asked herself as blood continued to stream down her face; the blood in her eyes could only mean one thing. An unavoidable future that could only be seen without a price paid in return.
Faye rose to her feet and stumbled; her blood felt drained, and a huge part of her mana was missing. This was an unavoidable price she had to pay for the future she had seen.
"It's not going to happen." Faye mutters to herself as she struggles out of her chamber; images of her vision made each step she took tremble in fear, and just when Faye was about to feel herself fall down again, strong hands gripped onto her.
Storm examined Faye's disastrous state; for a moment, he thought that she was being chased by an enemy who had managed to enter into their realm. "What's wrong?" He asked when he realized that she wasn't being chased.
"I shouldn't have thought about his future." Faye gripped Storm's strong arms, her body bent as she tried to keep herself from falling. "How could I have forgotten that some futures have a heavy price to pay?" In the past, when Faye had seen her future of being a god in her saint days, she had paid a heavy price for it. One that left her alone forever; their world of magic was built on rules that couldn't be broken. "But he is just a lesser human from another world; there's nothing special about him; there shouldn't be." A crazy, agonizing look fills Faye's face.
"Have your visions finally made you go mad?" Storm asked with a frown on his face.
"My visions." Faye repeated to herself, "Tell me about a certain player, Lucian. Is he dead? Has the mana beast eaten him up?" She asked hopefully.
"You haven't been watching the game?" Storm wasn't surprised; Faye was the sort of person who spent more time watching the past and present life of others than the players they set up. "Lucian and his team are the only ones who made it to the surface alive. The tree beast is dead." Storm was annoyed that he was giving a report about a little human; he didn't understand why everyone was so obsessed with Lucian. To him, Lucian was better off dead.
Slowly, in a defeated manner, Faye slid to her knees.
Storm raises a questioning brow at her and lowers himself to her level. "What did you see about that human boy?"
"I saw a future that was mixed with the past, our younger selves, each 12 of us, back when we were saints, turning our backs against the human, Lucian, while he held a blade over our heads." The panic Faye had felt in the vision filled her voice again. The vision felt so real even though it was impossible. Based on the world Lucian lives in, he wasn't born during their young days, and yet Faye still felt fear.
"I don't understand what your vision is about, but I can tell that audacious kid is going to be a problem; it's best we kill him."
'If he's dead, then nothing is going to happen.' Faye's anxious thought brought slight peace to her heart.
"Yes. If that boy stays alive, it's not going to be good for us."
Storm chuckled, refusing to believe that a simple boy like Lucian could ever be a danger to them. "Okay then. But we need a way to deal with Dunstan; he's paying attention to the game. He's not going to let us get rid of the boy just because of your vision."
"We can think of something…" Faye said in a weak tone, her last strength slipping away as her body gently hit the floor while she fell unconscious.

"Captain!" Marta called out in a high, excited tone as she sighted Lucian heading her way. She had a soft piece of fabric wrapped over one eye.
Reed glanced at Lucian; before he could return his focus to Soren, his back arm was grabbed, and the wind magic at the palm of his hands disappeared as Soren kneed him in the gut and then flipped him over his back, making Reed groan in pain.
Soren chuckled, a smug smile appearing on his face as he turned to Luna. "We finally have somebody on the team who's weaker than you in magic and combat."
Luna bared her teeth to Soren, wishing that she could bite off the strong arms he was so proud of.
"I'm not part of your team." Reed flinches as he rubs his sore back.
"Yeah, right," Soren snorted at Reed's denial and then squatted in front of him. "Admit it, I know the reason you are still sticking around is because you love me." He wiggles his brows.
Reed twists his face in disgust. "I'm not gay, man; I'm a proud boob lover. Now get off my face."
"The hell?!" Luna was irritated as Soren laughed away over Reed's words. She didn't had flat boobs, but she hate feeling self-conscious of her body. "You damned bastard," Luna said, "hurry up and escape already!"
Reed pretended as though he didn't hear Luna's suggestion. He likes Lucian's team, although he hates to admit it; he didn't want to think about why he was still around even though he had countless chances to escape. Reed was afraid that if he let himself think about it, he would feel his late brother's disappointment from the underworld.
"How is your eye?" Lucian asks.
Marta happily gripped his arm; after Luna's countless treatments, she could see properly without any pain, but she didn't want anyone to know that. Not when Lucian let her get this close to him and was treating her with extra care because of her injury; before, he would have pushed her away.
"Luna's magic isn't as strong as before; my eye hurts a lot during the day. I think I only need to avoid light for now."
Lucian nodded in understanding. "Don't worry, your treatment will soon be over." He patted Marta on the head.
'Ungrateful bitch!' Luna glared at Marta; she felt more angry than usual because she was body conscious. 'I had spent so much time healing you; I'm 100 percent sure that your eye is okay.' She had checked Marta's eye before over her complaints, and there is nothing wrong with it.
"I'm not wasting my magic on you again." Luna said, making Marta frown at her.
"Just checked her eyes again." Lucian insisted in a tired tone.
They were lucky to have escaped the belly of Hlasked and almost didn't make it. The climb to the surface was painfully long, and without the help of their magic, they would have all been buried alive.
