Tower’s Richest Player: My Coins Won't Stop Increasing

Chapter 167: The nightmare of the Waves

Undead and someone with Holy power.

The combination was as chaotic as it sounded.

While those who possessed holy power did not get affected by the energy of death, corruption, and decay that easily, for the undead who were born from the negative energies, the holy power of someone with [Purity] was as dangerous as any harm to a draconian's reverse scale was to them.

KiRA did not only possess Purity stat along with Holy Power, Unity's presence made his 'positive' stats stand out even more.

In the grand scale of things, KiRA could win most of the fights against those possessing a negative element, be it demonic power, dead Mana, Dark Mana, or other negative energies around the world.

Purity stat was one of the rarest stats and those who possessed Purity did not always possess Holy power. The combination of the two powers was exceptional, making KiRA a dangerous force to any of the creatures of the tower.

However, this power was strangely more powerful against any kind of negative undead creatures.

"Ghhhhhhhh!"

"Ghwaaaaaaa…!"

The Zombies that were supposed to hunt KiRA and subdue him, were instinctively fearing him right now.

They were mindless creatures that did not possess any intelligence, however since they were humans once, they had retained their exceptional senses and instincts.

When KiRA started using Holy power to kill them, even though they were (Level-30) and above, they felt the fight or flight response and either ran back into the hole they had crawled out from, or dashed towards him.

-Zaaaaaaaaaaa…!

But, as soon as the warm light of the Holy power touched them, their entire body glowed and as if they were being exorcized, and without even having to cut them with his weapons, the zombies turned into ashes and vanished on the spot.

"Ptfff. It's funny seeing them like this. If this were the tower and they had any kind of resistance against the holy power, we wouldn't be seeing this scene~."KiRA was delighted right now.

Perhaps his title as the Conqueror of the Tower of Beginning played a part in it, but the way these monsters were dying so easily, the way KiRA was getting the experience points without even having to do anything, and the way the monsters didn't even approach him after the first three minutes was a total cinema!

Unity was giggling from the back while using her flame skill to torture the creatures who had done nothing wrong to her. She just didn't like these creatures so she was having her fun, and her master was the same.

[Upcoming wave progress: 100%.]

[Wave progress: 1/6.]

[Time left for the next Wave: 00:20:00.]

The first wave was cleared after the time passed and the second wave was coming up next.

However, since the zombies were still blocking the path and were clogging the exit on the other side of the pathways, the second wave was delayed unintentionally.

KiRA was preparing to be serious this time. The first wave might have been a fluke but there was no shot the dungeon would only have undead monsters in the entire second half.

There was no dumb dungeon manager out there who wouldn't even consider a possibility of someone like KiRA appearing here.

"Hooooooo…"

Much to his surprise however, the second wave of beings that were going to attack him, even before any of them had come out into the arena, were recognised by the duo who previously had serious expressions.

"Ghosts this time?"

Just like the Zombies, ghosts were creatures that the classic necromancers produced at the beginner level.

They were simple creatures who had the lowest form of intelligence but were better than the Zombies who had higher physical capabilities.

They could not be damaged with just the physical attacks but, they were undead.

"Woooooooooo!"

When they managed to slip past the clogging mass of zombies, KiRA greeted them with a Warm smile on his face.

The bright light was already covering him, but this time, he did not just stand there.

"Uni."

[{ Yes, master~! }]

With the help of his partner, he spread out a net of his golden threads and covered them all in his Holy Power.

This net did not only cover the outside but the inside of the holes that the creatures were coming from as well.

While the end of the path was sealed away for them, they could still access till the end of the path so Unity covered everything in the golden threads that came from his wrist guards.

Then the two of them just waited in the centre of the arena. There was nothing to do anymore now that the opponents, the ghosts who were even weaker to the holy power than the zombies, did not even dare stand in the place where the holy power was present.

The ghosts who all rushed out from the clogged entrance immediately understood the reason behind the clogging and were just about to rush back inside…

-Snap!

But a snap rang all around the empty arena and the strings that were present all around them vibrated at a certain frequency.

-Swish! Swish! Swish!

The strings took out more ghosts than any knight-mage-ranger party could take on in an hour. The instantaneous death of the (Level-35)+ creatures was almost miserable in the eyes of an empath.

Unity mourned for them for a moment since she did not hate the clean ghosts as much as the dirty zombies, and returned to her smug expression.

[{ Hehehehe, this is soooooo fun master~! }]

[Upcoming wave progress: 100%.]

[Wave progress: 2/6.]

[Time left for the next Wave: 00:20:00.]

First the zombies then the ghosts. KiRA had already predicted what might be coming next…

-Ktktktktkt!

But he was surprised to find his prediction being on point.

[{ Skeletons! Hehehe! This stage might just be a vacation for us, master! }]

Skeletons. The undead that rise from their coffins.

There were many types of skeletons in the worlds of the tower. There were also many professions that worked with the skeletons.

The necromancers weren't the only ones who used these beings. They could summon them and use them as spare weapons, but that wasn't all.

There were skeletons that could be summoned like elemental spirits, there were skeletons that could grow into higher life forms, there were also beings who were mistaken for a skeleton.

Beings like Lich, for example, are the masters of dark arts. They are immortals who have transcended the mortal limitations and stepped into the realm of the beings who stand on the same level as the gods.

There are very few 'True' Lich in the tower, so even if they were mistaken for a skeleton, they aren't mere skeletons. The beings that the [Witch doctors] use are also not skeletons but companion spirits born from ritualistic sacrifices.

There are more than three hundred kinds of natural and artificial undead creatures in the tower and, from KiRA's experience, he knew most of them would not fall to his powers so easily.

What was happening right now wasn't normal. His powers were enhanced and his stats were boosted thanks to the title effect in the dungeon, but that did not mean there was a significant power difference between them.

'Perhaps it's the nature of this dungeon, or the rune that it is made on top of.'

KiRA was wondering why there was a dungeon here in the first place when this was supposed to be just a rune.

Runes were also powerful structures made to withstand the passage of time. Most runes within the tower are either archeological sites or a maze full of traps made to test the challengers.

'But the dungeon might be like a gateway that opens up inside the rune.'

From how KiRA finished the first three waves, it was highly likely that the rest of the waves would also contain undead creatures.

Of course they might be stronger ones, but the end result was going to be pretty much the same.

"If the ones at this level are falling so easily, they will have to be at least (Level-50)+ to pose any threat to me… also, they will have to have some form of resistance against the holy power." KiRA was certain that without that, they wouldn't face any threats from these waves.

[{ Master, it seems like we are the monsters here, hehe~. }]

Unity was happy to see this scene, but KiRA reminded her not to put her guard down.

The third wave came and this time the opponents were Skeletons knights, skeletons that could use their core energy to strengthen their weapons.

They were wearing armour so they protected themselves from the strings around them.

Their bodies were tougher than the previous wave's skeletons. They were also of a higher level and possessed a sense of strategic battle.

Sadly, they couldn't outsmart KiRA with their brainless skeleton.

The fifth wave was Skeleton mages who actually had some resistance against the Holy power.

They were also using spells with their Dark Mana. Also, since they were all around him, KiRA needed to fight properly this time.

He moved systematically and used his footwork techniques. He also used his sword techniques to sneak in on the mages and disrupt their synced chanting.

The noise that these skeleton mages produced was simply too irritating. He had no choice but to finish them off quickly or else he would have lost his calm and ended up using more power than what they needed.

"The final obstacle."

When the last wave began, only one of the gates remained open while the rest of them closed once again.

Then, what came out of the last gate, actually made KiRA smile after a long while…
