Tyler was left a little bit stunned after Jasmine kissed him on the cheek. He recovered when she hugged him and he wrapped his arms around her waist, the both of them settling in the hug for a few seconds before she pulled away and walked inside her house.

Walking back to his apartment, Tyler had a huge grin on his face. He had a very nice time out with Jasmine, and even though Minamino got a very terribke injury, things went relatively well on a personal level for him.

"What's with that stupid smile, did you get laid or something?" Enzo asked as soon as Tyler walked into the apartment, still smiling.

"It's nothing". Tyler said, his smile dimming a little. He spoke with his roommates for a few minutes before retiring to his room for the night. He brought out his phone and texted Jasmine and spent the entire night talking to her on the phone.

The next morning, Tyler woke up very early and made his way towards the Monaco training center. He came earlier than all the players coming in for recovery and did some personal work with the physiotherapists and other fitness experts. He didn't play with all of the players in the previous matches so he was in better condition compared to all of them.

In the next hours, the rest of the players arrived and they did a few recovery exercises and then a bit of light training. After that, Adi Hutter gathered all of them on the pitch to address them.

Tyler hadn't missed how one of the medical staff had come to him and handed him an envelope when they were performing one kf the training drills. He knew that it was just likely an update on Minamino's medical condition.

"Alright boys, I know that most of you are curious about Takumi's condition right now. We all saw the gruesome injury that unfortunately happened to him during the match yesterday. After a series of extensive tests, it has been determined, as if it wasn't already obvious, that Takumi dislocated his ankle. Thankfully, it isn't as serious as we initially feared but he will have to get surgery to speeden up his recovery but even at that he is out for the season".

The players broke into chatter as soon as Adi Hutter finished addressing them. They were feeling quite bad for Minamino who was having a very good season, and a very good game before he was unfortunately taken out of the game by the poorly timed challenge.

"I know that most of you feel white bad for your friend and teammate but in as much as this is an unfortunate event, this can also be a stepping stone. With our starting left winger gone, it means that the position is now up for grabs. This is your chance to nail down a spot on the starting eleven". Adi Hutter turned to George, Tyler and some of the other younger players that had been invited to train with the first team.

"Remember, chaos isn't a pit that you should sink into, but it is a ladder, a ladder that should be climbed to greatness".

Adi Hutter stayed silent for a few seconds so that everine could better assimilate the gravity of his words.

"Alright, that's all for today. You're all dismissed".

Tyler released a breath after Adi Hutter release everyone. It was only after Adi Hutter made a point about it that Tyler realized what a huge opportunity Minamino's injury presented to him. He hated thinking about a teammate's injury as a blessing in disguise but that was just how things were at the moment.

He went back to his apartment thinking deeply about what Adi Hutter said and just when he wanted to try and forget about it, he heard a notification which made it virtually impossible.

Tyler swallowed wen he saw the reward to the mission that the system offered him.

"I guess now I have no choice then". Tyler muttered under his breath.

He chatted with Jasmine, telling her about what Adi Hutter said and how he felt guilty for thinking about it like that. Jasmine told him that Adi Hutter was simply trying to bring out a positive from the situation and urged him to think like that as well. After he got her input, Tyler felt a lot better and fell asleep.

The next day, Tyler went for training very early. Not because he wanted to, but because he woke up white early and couldn't get himself to fall back asleep. He figured that he should to come quite early for training and score some points with the manager.

Even though Monaco didn't really have another recognized left winger, Tyler wasn't naive enough to think that getting the spot would be a walkthrough for him. He knew he was competing with a lot of other players.

George could be deployed as a left winger or another striker in case Adi Hutter decided to opt dor a more central approach. Ben Seghir, who was another young player fighting for game time wad also there and could deployed for that role.

"I really need to give this my best". Tyler muttered under his breath as he changed into his training gear.

He took one of the football from inside the locker room and started playing with himself about. He made sure not to overexert himself because he knew he still had a lot to show the coach during the training session later in the day.

Eventually, all the other players and coaches arrived for training. When it was finally time for the training to start, Adi Hutter gathered all of them to for a circle around him and started addressing them.

"Alright boys, we have almost a week to prepare for our next opposition on the French cup. It's against a side in the second division but just because we play in a higher league does not mean that we will be complacent. We've seen many a club name that mistake and get sucked punched out of rhe competition. This isn't a scenario where we can afford to concede an upset. This is a cup match, one loss and you're out so we're going to approach this as we would approach an opponent we're playing against in the league".

"Alright so our opponent is Paris FC, and if any of you have been paying even the littlest of attention to what's been going on in the second division, you'd know that they're in a very strong place and a betting man would wager on them beating some the teams in Ligue 1 so take it as we're playing another league game. A league game that we can't afford to lose".

"Now Paris FC like to play with a.."

Adi Hutter went into a little detail about Paris FC's playing stuke and attacking patterns. He then talked extensively about their defensive habits as he didn't feel it was too presumptuous to assume that they were going to try and defend a lot in the match. Sometimes he even used some of the players as dummies to further illustrate a few points that he was pointing out to the players.

After Adi Hutter finished explaining, he they then started their normal training drills. They worked on ball retention, and a few other routine drills. Almost an hour later, Adi Hutter called them all together again and addressed them.

"Alright boys, we're until the last drill of the game of the day. It's going to be more of the same, reserves versus starters, but seeing as one of the starters has gotten an injury, then the next on the pecking order for now will automatically fill in his role. So George will play with the starters for today and as the week progresses we'll see whether that changes or not".

Adi Hutter read the rest of the starters lineup and the the reserve lineup. Even though Tyler didn't start, he wasn't disheartened. He knew that he wasn't going to be the favored choice, he knew that he was going to have competition, his thoughts actualizing wasn't an event for him to panic. Instead, it served as a bit of motivation for him. He needed to play well in training and show his coach that he was the best.

'Sorry George, but I also want to play'. Tyler thought as one of the assistant coaches blew bks whistle and the training match started.
