Chapter 174: interrupter

After Rosie had entered the room, Mary had floated down towards Sara. And whispered louder enough for Kurt to hear.

"Who's that and how did she get inside?"

Sara turned towards Mary, "You mean you had no idea?"

The room had been brought to just whispers by her arrival even the elves started talking among one another.

"Archangel Rosie, we weren't expecting you here, I thought you would have gone to the Pillar."

"We have time, don't let me interrupt you," said Rosie smiling and taking a place at the side, as someone waiting their turn would do.

"It's no interruption," said Carson. "It's an honor to be in your presence."

"No," said Kurt, "we were just actually discussing who should be doing the more informal discussions of an alliance."

"Ohh," said Rosie.

"Yes. My lady," said Carson bowing. "If you have matters with Lord Kurt. We can start a dialogue on a lower level."

"Lower level."

"This is a formal introduction," said Carson.

Rosie looked up at Kurt from her position below them on their raised platform where the throne stood. Kurt looked back and realized, "I'm sorry. Ambassador Carson of the Elven Kingdom of Sylvain, may I introduce Archangel Rosie of the goddess Ishtar, of the pantheon of Horus?"

"A pleasure," said Rosie.

"Lady Sara," said Kurt, "I think you have some introductions to make as well."

"Yes of course," said Sara, wide-eyed at Rosie. She stood up and turned towards Kurt and made a curtsey. Then to the elven ambassador, "Come with me, I'm sure you're hungry I will fetch the appropriate people."

Walking toward the elven convoy, she hispered and they allowed her to go toward Rosie and then promptly left.

Kurt was basically left alone with Rosie. A few stragglers were brave enough to stay in the audience.

Rosie walked up to where the elves had been standing in proper form. And spoke, "There has been a change in plans."

"A change?"

"Yes, my lady will be present, and she hopes it will be at her new temple."

"It may not be completely done."

"She is already here."

"So you're here to get us."

"I'm a man of speaking, I thought you first then Layla. Was I mistaken?"

"No," said Kurt standing up an del along down from his raised position towards her. "I suppose we should just go then." Coming closer to her. "We can slip there, but it does require physical touch," said Kurt putting out his hand.

Rosie placed her hand in Kurt's. She was warm. The sensation was not ordinary. Kurt made his mind focus and step perpendicular to space and was in Layla's throne room a moment later with Rosie.

"This was what the little pup did as well," said Rosie. "Very strange, I can almost feel a way."

Layla perked up from her chair as Simon spoke to her. And flew up. "Lady Rosie. I wasn't expecting…"

"There has been a change in plans."

"What change?"

"If you expect the gods to crown you, you would have to meet them. My lady Ishtar is here."

"Here?"

"I think she's at Jessica's."

A glow appeared from the doorless entryway. Something was coming up.

"Ohh," said Rosie, "you have come as well."

The Kitsune trotted up to the throne room and knelt to Layla, then Rosie.

"Don't worry little one we aren't taking the apostle." The kitsune nodded approvingly. And looked back at Rosie, "So you would do that." The kitsune nodded.

"Shouldn't we be going to see your lady?" said Kurt.

Rosie turned back but Layla spoke, "he can't hear him." Rosie turned back to the kitsune who nodded as well.

"The kitsune wishes to join us," said Layla looking at Kurt, "to greet Lady Ishtar."

"We will need the gate, is there something you need to do here to do that?"

They made their way to the gate. At least this time Kurt wasn't the only one going to be intensely watching the process. It wasn't exactly unexpected, they had assumed they were trying to see all of the process.

Kurt was making more and more sense of Layla's actions now and could almost put it all together. Some parts became tedious and even boring. The Archangel seemed just as curious as anyone else who had ever seen it before. They would have to bring it back after of course.

It didn't take her very long anymore; she had gotten a lot of practice at it, and some of her movements were gracefully executed.

Coming back to the pillar Layla had taken the kitsune in her arms and Kurt once again had to ask for the Archangel's hand to slip to the other well.

"Interesting you don't need to walk it there, I had assumed we were going to have a longer trip." The Archangel had displayed her abilities before to negate the effect of not being pleased with Talia. Kurt knew he was going to hear a lot about the 'little pup' comments in his future. It had already started.

"We can wait if that's what Lady Ishtar is expecting," said Kurt, putting his hand down.

"No, there shouldn't be any trouble coming earlier. It's just strange. The configuration of this well is something else. One of a kind I would say."

"I've heard that," said Kurt.

"It's just that," said Rosie, "can you all stop looking at me like that?"

"Like what?" said Kurt.

"Nevermind, let's just go."

Slipping to Jessica well the outpost had made major changes. One of the walls had been completely demolished and a new structure was placed there. It was oddly simple though.

But he was about to go through it. Meeting an actual god. He could feel something in the air around him. He looked at Rosie.

"I said stop looking at me like that please, she's gonna get mad at me."

Kurt didn't really understand what she was even trying to say. Coming out of the inner part of the well a far now draped in green robes and with white symbols Kurt didn't recognize came out. It was Jessica.
