'An Aether Crystal…' Amon thought as he equipped all of his equipment.
The boss screeched again as it turned to look at Amon.
"Come on, I'm right here." Amon said as he continued walking closer.
"Skrreeee!!!"
It grabbed it's spear and pointed it at Amon as the tip began to glow.
Amon frowned as he stopped walking and planted his feet tightly on the ground below, ready to turn around at a moment's notice.
The glow intensified as Amon saw a red mist travelling from the transparent container to the tip of the spear.
'An attack made from Aether energy huh?' he mused as he stayed still.
Two seconds later, a beam shot towards Amon at an incredible speed.
He turned around almost instantly, letting the beam hit his black iron turtle armor.
-1050!
+900!
'Hmm… even with 30% damage reduction, I'm losing health. Wait, it ignores defence stats?' Amon mused, frowning as he looked at his equipped items before sighing.
He had forgotten the Paladin's cross which gave him +20% healing effectiveness.
Shaking his head slightly, he put the pendant over his neck and turned around to see the boss charging another attack.
"Oh, another one huh?" he muttered as he turned around, taking the concentrated beam of light straight on his armor.
-1050!
+1080!
'Now this is what you call healing.' Amon chuckled inwardly as he sat down right where he was and took attacks one by one.
Jordan watched in silence, his mouth slightly open as he saw the boss slowly tire out. Meanwhile, Amon merely yawned.
Three minutes later, the boss fell on it's own before it turned into ashes which condensed together to form a large wooden chest.
"Rewards of a world dungeon…." Amon muttered as he walked over and opened the chest.
Inside it were two books, a spear and an armor set.
Amon took a look at each one of them with his monocle.
[Skill Book: Arm Of Death]
[Skill Book: Rise The Dead]
[Spear Of Bone and Flesh]
[Undead Bone Armor Set]
The Armor Set was one of the few sets that couldn't have their parts separated. It was more of a one piece armor.
Amon looked at the spear and sighed, 'No Aether thing…'
It was just a C rank Spear but it was still better than his gauntlets.
As for the skill books, Amon stared at the both of them for a few seconds before he pocketed one of them.
"None of these items are of use to you." he said as he turned to look at Jordan and tossed the other three items towards him.
"Just sell these and keep the coins. I'll be taking this skill book for killing the boss."
Jordan simply nodded before he walked into the portal that had just opened up.
Amon turned to look at Nyx who limped and waddled over to him, "What did you get?" she asked softly.
"A skill that might suit Elena a lot. Do you want me to carry you back home?" Amon asked as he held her hand.
Nyx nodded, "Please… it'll be embarrassing to have people stare at me."
Amon smiled and picked her up in a princess carry before walking out of the dungeon.
The whole place was filled with bright light, a sign of the artificial day time.
Squinting his eyes, Amon looked at Jordan before he walked in the direction of the academy.
The trio got back to their compound and went to their own rooms to get some well needed rest.
Lying on the comfortable mattress on the floor, Amon caressed Nyx's head as he asked, "The tournament… when is it?"
"Around eight hours later. There's still five hours left of the day time so we should get some sleep." Nyx said as she snuggled closer and closed her eyes.
Amon silently stared at the ceiling for a few seconds before he too closed his eyes.
Elena and Mikayla weren't home yet, so he didn't really have much stuff to do.
Sleep hit fast and Amon drifted off into the dreamlands before he woke up to a loud announcement.
Still feeling groggy, he sat up and heard someone repeat the same thing over and over.
"All students and professors, please gather at the academy's grounds!"
"All students and professors, please gather at the academy's grounds!"
"It's time to go…" he muttered as he turned to look at Nyx who looked like she had been up for quite a while now.
Elena walked out of the adjacent room with Mikayla and saw Amon up before smiling at him.
"I'm so glad you're back. How did it go?"
"Oi Amon, it's been a week. One week with Nyx… it's unfair you know?" Mikayla said, frowning as she walked towards him.
Elena nodded, "Yes… the students told me that you carried her all the way. Why carry her Amon? She didn't look injured when came home."
Amon looked at the two of them and chuckled sheepishly, "Well… right! I have something for you." he said as he remembered the skill book and decided to change the subject.
"Shut." Mikayla scowled as she pounced on him, sending him back onto the bed as she sat on his stomach, "I can make a guess, you know? Trying to divert our attention from the topic only means one thing."
Amon let out a soft sigh and nodded, "Well… you should be asking her instead of me." he said and then turned to Elena and winked at her, "Thank you for the tips by the way."
'Tips?' Elena frowned slightly as she turned to look at Nyx who's face had gone bright red under Mikayla's focused gaze.
"Well… Amon um, he…" she said slowly, looking everywhere but at the three of them.
Mikayla just looked even more annoyed at her due to this.
"God damn it… you guys actually did it didn't you? And you probably went at it hard."
Nyx nodded slowly before she spoke softly, "Five days… the rest I got was bare minimum but I loved it. Every single second of it."
