With the trio of the B-rank adventurers taking incitive and rushing down the opponents through the trap filled area, the golems had no choice but to pay full attention to the enemies in front of them… Which in turn gave the remaining adventurers a chance to go past the trap filled zone carefully, before then joining up with B-rank adventurers.
At first, they struggled.
The main reason being the higher number of the knight golems and new enchantment version of elite golems.
….
But unfortunately for them, it wasn't enough.
As the fight raged on, the adventurers gained moment as more people passed through the trapped zone, allowing the invader side to grow in power while also understanding how the new trio of golems fought, allowing the adventures to slowly but surely overwhelmed the enemy.
In the end, the results were just the same as the floors from before.
A total victory.
"Huh…. These new ones… They were far more similar to the previous version?" – said Mawa.
"Well…. It wasn't exactly a 'easy' victory this time." – said Adam.
"The traps fucked us somewhat…. One guy even died on the spot after getting shot in the face."
"And we only just started."
"There is good chance that there will be more annoying traps or strategies deployed by the dungeon."
"Anyway…. Oscar! Got anything!" – said Adam as he turned towards the mages and rouges who were inspecting the area ahead.
"…"
"No magic reaction whatsoever." – replied Oscar.
"There are also no traps here. But I advise against moving forward too fast." - said the female rouge.
"….Hey. Can't you just use that spell of yours to protect us all?" – asked Elizabeth.
"Yea, I can, but not like huge areas. Only around me." – said Markus.
"And I won't do it."
"If I were to rely on this stuff nonstop, I would burn shit tons of mana."
"Can't we just continue relying on that spear dance thing you did?"
"Well, it is also not some cost free." – said Elizabeth.
"It is a martial art in form of weapon art."
"Obviously it burns out stamina to be used."
"No. Neither of you will rely on that ability." – said Adam as he stepped up.
"This is a finally floor and if either of you use up way too much stamina or mana, then things could end up dicey."
"I agree with him. It is for the best if we don't recklessly use up our potions." – said Mawa.
"Agree on this one." – said Adam.
"YOU ALL! I KNOW THIS IS THE LAST FLOOR! BUT WE ARE TAKING OUR TIME ON THIS ONE! BE READY FOR ANYTHING AND SAVE UP YOUR STRENGHT! ONLY USE IF YOU HAVE NO CHOICE!"
"IF SO, THEN MOVE OUT!"
Upon fishing up their recovery and dealing with the fallen, the adventurers continued their exploration.
Just like before, the adventures had to deal with both the traps and monsters coming their way…. But with noticeable increased difficulty as hunter hound golem, tank golem and ballista golems joined the fight, making the fights last bit much longer as well as causing the number of injured people to increase.
But unfortunately for the dungeon master, the adventurers were taking the exploration very careful after the first battle in this floor, causing the adventurers to move at much slower pace, but reserve their energy for the finally battle while also trying to reduce the amount of damage taken.
"…"
"Area cleared. There are no traps in this part." – said Mawa as he and several other adventurers finished checking area for traps.
"…"
"Say, how long we had been going for?" – asked Elizabeth.
"Well, we already made some distance…. At this rate we should had already closed the half way point… Or maybe we are already reaching the end of the dungeon?" – replied Adam.
"But…. We have yet to encounter any bomb traps or the small golems."
(We had already destroyed countless number of golems after we had finally arrived at this final floor…. And yet, the two most mysterious things about this dungeon are still left unresolved.) – thought nervous Adam.
(We didn't expected the new version of golems to show, but we still managed to progress and conquer the whole dungeon at proper pace…. And we had only one unlucky casualty.)
"…"
(But I can't still shake off this feeling.)
(This isn't paranoia!)
(I know something isn't right!)
(…Still, I did send that one guy back to warn the guild master about our discoveries…. But again.)
(I can't shake off this feeling.)
"!"
"Enemies incoming!" – shouted the wolf beastman.
"Tch! More weaklings! Can't we just blast them?!" – said annoyed Markus.
"No! Reserve your strength! We still don't know what kind of being is the dungeon master." – said Mawa.
"Oh, for crying out loud!" – said Markus as once again the adventurers began their fight against the golems…. But this time, the fight didn't really lasted long as it was quickly finished.
"?"
"The hell? That is all?" – said confused adventurer.
"Yea… There were barely any enemies this time?"
"Hey! Are there more enemies coming or something?!"
"….No…. I don't see anything." – said wolf beastman as he stared at the path ahead of the group.
"Huh…. Do you think dungeon has finally run out of the monsters?" – said a curios man in priest clothing.
"Hm…. Well, we did destroyed quiet lot of them…. And these guys were mostly elite monsters." – said Markus.
(Normally in those kinds of scenarios, there is either a lot of weak ass monsters or just few strong monsters…. This time it appears to be a latter.) – thought Markus as he was analyzing the situation.
"I think we may had already exterminated all monsters on this floor."
"….Maybe…. But there is still risk of the traps." – said Mawa.
"We will keep up with the same peace as before."
No more attacks, no more traps.
The adventurers continued their exploration of the dungeon past this point…. And yet, they had yet to encounter another trap or another monster.
Obviously as Mawa suggested and Adam ordered, the adventurers continued moving at their regular slow pace in order to make sure no traps would end up triggered… But even so, they have not encountered any more traps.
This somewhat relived the adventurers…. But also, somewhat alarmed them.
Since after walking for the while, they finally saw it in the distance.
The pair of doors.
"!"
"Careful! There are doors in front of us!" – shouted the wolf beastman.
"So…. We reached it, eh?" – said Adam.
"…The area looks clear on both ends." – said Mawa.
"I guess it is really it."
"…"
(Our numbers is around 50.) – thought Adam.
(The entire first group only consists of C-rank adventurers and B rank adventurers.)
(Just in case, there is also a second group of who should by now also entered the floor.)
(They also somewhat consist of around 25 people, which is ready to either join up or replace us if we were forced to back away.)
(But considering how well we were doing so far, probably the second….. Nah, they won't do shit. I mean, they straight up did nothing the entire time we had been here….. And they are fucking lagging behind….. Oh for fuck sake.) – thought Adam as he looked behind himself, noticing the second group nowhere in sight.
*Sigh*
"Lazy bums….They are really taking their sweet time walking here." – said annoyed Adam.
(Anyway…. It seems we are ready.)
"Approach slowly." – said nervous Adam.
"This guy could be either C, C+ or maybe even B rank in worst case scenario."
"Don't let your guard even for a moment." – said Adam as the adventurers slowly approached the door, before then stopping right in front of it.
"….You all ready?" – said Adam, checking the status of group.
"Yea! Yea! We all fucking ready already! Just open it up!" – said Markus.
"…"
"Do it." – said Adam as the frontliners put their hands pair of doors and started slowly opening them.
"!"
Upon opening the door, the adventurers immediately spotted a group of golems…. And a giant figure covered in piece of cloth, sitting on the throne made out stone.
"Look at the fucker. Waiting like a fucking king sitting on his throne, eh? Bastard is clearly looking down on us." – said Markus.
(It isn't alone.) – thought Mawa as he noticed knight golems, tanks golems and ballista golems, all standing around the giant figure sitting on the throne.
(There are also two giants…. But they resemble the ones from before and not the one we had encountered in the first boss room.) – thought Mawa as he spotted two previous version of the giant knight golems standing beside the cloth covered figure.
(Cloth…. It is covering its entire body…)
(Is it trying to hide its identity.)
"Careful." – said Mawa.
"This guy there maybe the dungeon master!"
"If our theories are correct, this guy is a monster with high intelligence."
"…"
"Go!" – said Adam as the adventurers started rushing right into dungeon master room.
"…"
In response to that, the hooded giant lifted up its head, before moments later the crossbow golems and ballista golems fired off their projectiles, which prompted Elizabeth and Markus to quickly leap in front of the adventurers and block off the projectiles with their Art/Magic.
"The hell?! Those are the same guys as before!" – said disappointed Markus.
"Don't let your guard down boy! There is big boy there to worry about!" – replied Elizabeth as the adventurers started all charging in at once into the room.
"AAAAAA!"
"?!"
However, right as they charged, they heard something from behind.
A scream coming from a rear unit.
"Wait?! What the fuck?!" – said mage as his head would suddenly get smashed by a rock.
"!"
(Attack?!) – thought panicking Oscar who instantly deployed [Arcane Barrier] as a hail of small sharp rocks came his way, which were partially blocked by the man's barrier…. But only for moment as several of the small rocks broke through barrier and hit the man right in his left arm.
"!?"
"Hey, hey, hey, hey!" – said Oscar as he tried backing away.
"What the fuck is this thing?!"
"THE FUCK IS THIS THING!?" – shouted Oscar as he and other backliners saw an unknown creature approaching them.
A six-armed humanoid creature made out of metal suddenly appeared right behind adventurers.
Running straight at the adventurers.
