"The dungeon is still active!?" – asked confused wolf beastman captain.

"Yes sir. We confirmed that the dungeon break phase of the dungeon has not stopped." – replied soldier.

"The dungeon is not only still active, but it also continuing production monsters."

"We checked inside of the dungeon and there were still dungeon monsters inside. Not manifested dungeon monsters, but a regular dungeon monsters."

"What the fuck?" – said confused wolf beastman.

"…"

"What about the outpost?"

"Burned to the ground." – replied soldier.

"Nothing remains."

"We cannot really identify anybody because how badly burned their corpse are."

"But we found some corpse of our men in the forest, dead."

"Arrow wounds, slash wounds and so on."

"There is also the fact that most of them haven't drawn their weapons or anything."

"…"

"So they may had been caught off guard." – said wolf beastman.

"Anything else? Like some weird corpse mixed in?"

"Non sir." – replied soldier.

"There were only corpse of our soldiers."

"…"

(The fuck is going on?) – thought wolf beastman.

(We suddenly lost contact with the outpost and the next thing somebody spotted it from afar burning.)

(We came here as soon as possible, only to find out the entire outpost burned to the ground, with no survivors left.)

(All soldiers that were keeping watch over the forest were found dead.)

(And yet the dungeon was completely left untouched?)

(No matter how we look at it, there is no way it isn't the Noble faction doing.)

(But why would they….. No. This doesn't make sense.)

(If they had that kind of force just waiting to be used to take down all of the soldiers, why now of all the times?!)

"Secure the whole area and do the whole sweep of the whole place!"

"I want you to check everything in there in this forest and make sure that we spotted everybody!"

"Don't go alone! Go in groups, we still don't know if there are any assassins or soldiers of the noble faction in the forest."

"If you spot anybody suspicious you are allowed to use a lethal force in order to defend yourself?"

"Do you hear me? Lethal force authorized."

With the sudden loss of contact with the forces located near the golem dungeon a investigation squad was sent to inspect the situation.

But upon their arrival they had found out not only the entire set up outpost burned to the ground, but also of the soldiers satiating here killed, possible even assassinated by somebody.

And the reason why it happened? Unknown.

The first suspected reason by the captain who had arrived at the burned down outpost was the dungeon, he thought that whoever did this was aiming for the dungeon.

But by the looks of things the dungeon was not even touched, leaving inspection force confused as they couldn't understand what was the goal of the people that committed this act of genocide.

Was their goal to just murder everybody?

Or was it to archive something?

Either way, the entire golem forest and the area around is currently on the heavy lock down as well as inspection in order to issue a search and find any possible traces related to the culprits.

However, while all of that was happening, the assassin that were hiding in the forest had ran away as the forces of the Royal faction arrived, before then heading straight to the person that has hired them.

"You have failed!?" – shouted duke Ash.

"What do you mean none of them came out alive!? You are telling me that the mission has failed!?"

"That is what we believe had happened." – said one of 5 masked beastmen who were present in the room.

"The Arui went into the dungeon alongside his entire squad, but even after we waited for hours, there was no sight of them coming back."

"We waited until the Royal faction forces arrived, but in the end, not a single person that went into that dungeon ever came back."

"But that is impossible!" – shouted duke Ash in anger.

"According to our informations, the dungeon was still low rank dungeon, with a danger rank of D or maybe possible D+."

"Arui alone was a strong bastard and I've tested him."

"Not only that, but the amount of soldiers I gave him wasn't a small number."

"Nor they were some weak ass idiots that could be compared to newbie adventurers."

"And yet you are telling me that the dungeon that is at best D+ had wiped them all out?"

"I'm sorry if I'm not falling, but please enlighten me."

"How does any of that make any fucking sense?"

The group of beastmen did not replied to nobleman question.

"GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY SIGHT!" – shouted duke ash in fury, before moments later a group of assassins were escorted out of the room by knights.

(This doesn't make senses!) – shouted duke Ash inside of his head.

(I've made sure to not hire some shitty idiots for this job, since I knew if one idiot would fuck up, the entire operation could go straight to hell!)

(And this isn't the first time they worked for me either!)

(Honestly, if these bastards were some shitty assassins I've hired recently, I would had thought they had betrayed me….. But no. This isn't it.)

(These assassin worker far longer than Arui and his group.)

(They even checked near the dungeon's entrance and found no traces of Arui or his group.)

(And if they did checked, they would had spotted any soldiers that would be hiding inside of dungeon.)

(But the dungeon couldn't had killed them….. NO!)

(FUCK THE TRUTH RIGHT NOW!)

(THEY FUCKED UP!)

(AND NOW WE ARE IN DEEP SHIT!)

(The royal faction has already began their investigation starting from the lowest ranking members.)

(They don't really need to fucking find a real evidence.)

(They can lie, bribe someone from our side or plant fake evidence.)

(Either of those things and they could start crumbling us apart.)

(And to make matters worse, these bastards somehow fucked up the perfect plan we had that could had possible saved all of our assess!)

(Just fucking fantastic!)

(Can this get any worse?)

It got worse.

With the news of the attempted assassinate made on the general of the Garmfon kingdom and with the news of the attack on the golem dungeon spreading around the entire kingdom, it didn't really took long at all for the Noble faction to start taking hits after hits.

And even without planting anything like fake evidence, the Royal faction was able to find out a deep corruption that involved several members of Noble faction, which also involved some of the higher or more influential members of the Noble faction.

Obviously, representee of the Noble faction, Duke Ash, tried to deny the accusation, but with the number of piling evidence and some people just snatching in order to save their own skin, the reputation that the Noble faction had been building up for a long time to just has started rapidly declining like that.

Their image has slowly stared collapsing and the trust the people had put in them started being questioned.

And it wasn't even duke Ash fault.

It was a doing of a simple idiot.

A simple idiot who thought he would help, but instead he only stabbed the Noble faction right in the heart.

Duke Ash obviously killed the man and put a false evidence on him, painting him as terrorist who was contacting somebody from outside and was the one behind the whole assassination attempt.

The Noble faction tried in desperation spreading the news, trying to swift the blame from themselves to any other kingdom right next to them…. But it wasn't working.

And this only filled their desperation.

"At this rate they will definitely declare a rebellion." – said general Oranox as a meeting between the high ranking executives of the Royal faction was called by the king.

"Are you sure about this? I mean, would duke Ash really do something like this?" – asked worried human noble.

"Not necessary him, but maybe one of his stupid pawns would." – replied general.

"Remember, a lot of corrupted nobles are working for him and he is using them to gain both authority as well as power."

"But now these pieces of trash will not just stand by, waiting to possible lose everything they have."

"And that bastard Ash, HA!"

"Serves him right!"

"Everything he was building up for and all the achievements he had obtained to build up the Noble faction? GONE!"

"Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if he snaps."

"That is if he finds some way to stop the current downfall of the Noble faction." – said the beastman king.

"Duke Ash isn't a opponent we can easily look down upon and we already experienced how smart and cunning he is."

"It wouldn't be surprising if he planning something…. But as of right now, we need to prepare for the worst."

"There is good chance a war may broke out."

"And so, we need to ready our forces in case the Noble faction really declare their rebellion."

"With that being said, dismissed."

"You all know what to do."

"Ah, one moment your majesty." – said general Oranox.

"Is it possible for us to speak in private for a moment?"

"Sure." – replied the king before moments later all the nobles began leaving the room until only the king and general were left behind.

"It is about the dungeon attack." – said general.

"?"

"Why are you mentioning that?" – asked confused king.

"I mean, the case is closed, isn't it?"

"If anything, we already gotten everything we wanted out of and used it as a weapon against the Noble faction."

"Yea…. We did….. But honestly speaking, it is still bugging me." – replied general.

"I mean, we are talking about that bastard Ash."

"What would he gain from just assassinating some few random soldiers?"

"And specifically, around the dungeon that our kingdom is trying to turn into national level dungeon?"

"Honestly, the whole thing isn't like him….. And it doesn't make sense at all in the first place."

"Wouldn't he just try and destroy the dungeon? It would make situation bit chaotic somewhat, but maybe he could had used that chaos?"

"So, why he didn't do it?"

"So….. Sloppy."

"Maybe he just screwed up or something?" – asked king.

"Nobody is perfect."

"Even if duke Ash is a smartass that can predict stuff way better than us in some areas, he is still just a person."

"There is no way he can do everything perfectly."

"It was just matter of time before he slipped up and we knew it."

"Yea…..But….. I don't know…. This whole incidents just feels way to off to me…. In more than one way." – said confused general who didn't knew what to say about the situation.

"Look, we really don't have time to look too deeply into this matter, since right now we could have civil war breaking out at any moment." – said king.

"Or maybe we would be dealing with another schemes of the that traitorous bastard Ash."

"Right now, we need to focus on the present."

"But just in case, forty the dungeon defenses even more and make sure that it won't get destroyed."

"With the way things are going, we will desperately need secure the national type dungeon in order to not have any problem with money after whatever happens next, got it?"

"We need to deal with those bastards and secure our future."

"So for now, do as I say, got it?"

"Yes, your majesty." – replied general.
