MMORPG: Rebirth of the Legendary TimeKeeper

Chapter 107: Beginning of a Journey

"Everyone ready?" I asked as I looked at Blaze and others getting ready, with the backpacks that they had bought from the merchant, Lloyd.

Each of them carried a bunch of scrolls, while our main camping gear was with Trisha, our porter. Not including our main weapons, she also carried at least three sets of additional weapons of the same type.

I also wanted to take Lierra with me, but because of her low level and the fact that once an NPC dies, they die for real, in the game, I decided to go against that. It was obvious that she was an important NPC in the game whose main role was yet to be utilised in-game. Perhaps not now, but in the future, she could be someone really important.

For now, all I can hope is that she grows up to be a stronger NPC. Only then could I ask for her help in times of need.

"Let's go, then," I said before I began walking, taking the lead in the direction of the temple, which was deeper into the Whispering Woods Forest.

Because the path was only going to get more difficult with each step, and stronger monsters appeared at every turn, our main goal was to avoid fighting as much as possible, and move quietly during the day, while resting at night and recovering our energy as much as we could.

Say, Ezekiel. If it's something you can share, what kind of person are you in real life? I don't mean your real identity or what you do, but just in general. You understand what I mean?" Trisha, the talkative one, asked as she looked at me with curiosity.

The others' ears also perked up as they looked at me, waiting for my answer.

"A pretty normal person, honestly," I said as I wondered how I should answer this question. Then pondering, I said,

"Well, a disciplined guy, you can say? I follow my schedule pretty much religiously. Other than that, I don't participate in anything actively other than when there is something beneficial involved."

"Is that so? Then that's pretty much the same as in-game, isn't it?" She asked again, to which I nodded before asking,

"What about you, though? What kind of person are you in real life?"

"Just a silly girl doing silly things," she laughed a little, making me smile a bit.

"I know about Blaze and Link from the internet. You guys are kind of fun, not going to lie," Trisha added, turning to the duo, who smiled with a slight, embarrassed expression.

"Hey, I was thinking. Can we hold a player's meet? Just the 6 of us? It would be pretty fun," she added with excitement visible in her eyes. Looking at me and peeking at Raven from the corner of her eyes.

Raven was alarmed a little, though she hid her expression well before looking at me for the response.

"Well. I don't know. I might have to clear my schedule a bit. But I will think about it later," I added before looking at the forest area while figuring out the fauna and flora of the area. Feeling the texture of the moss on trees and plants, along with the animals that I had seen a few minutes ago, I made a few predictions for our path ahead and then changed the direction slightly.

This was important because even a single wrong step can get us into a zone of a level 100 monster later. Something that even I cannot hope to beat with all the knowledge that I have.

Well. If the problem of the whole identity thing gets solved, I think a meet-up can be done. I thought as I wondered if it was possible, at least this year. It is surely going to be a busy and packed year, no matter how I look at it.

"Really?!!" Trisha got excited at my response before turning to the others, who were also seemingly surprised at my response.

"Quiet," I hushed as I signalled the others to turn quiet. Before turning to G, I raised two of my fingers, signalling him to do a search of the area. Following my command, he did so before a few red dots appeared on our map.

Because we were connected at a party, we were allowed to share the effects of our non-combat skills. G can share what he has found, while Trisha, if she allows, we can take out our items from our bags. And Link can apply [party heal], healing everyone within the party at a slow but visible rate.

Though we still had to stay at least 5 meters within reach of each other to receive the effect of the other party members.

Since it's a light red dot, it's most probably a level 20-25 monster. And since it's just 3 of them, it shouldn't be wolves, goblins or kobolds. Then it's most probably a few stray monkey-type monsters. I analysed the situation before looking up at the trees in the area where the red blip was.

Sure enough, there was a blue coloured Monkey with two tails observing us from a distance. His eyes locked onto Trisha, the one who held the most items at the party.

Seems to be a Two-Tailed River Monkey. Well. They should be easy to deal with in direct combat, but with all these vines around us, it's going to be a pain. I sighed before signalling the others to stay alert and then looked in the direction above the trees.

Following my lead, they noticed the monkey, and soon, also found out the location of the other two monkeys that had yet to notice us. They were probably patrolling the area, trying to scout the other monsters and pray out.

While two of them were still far away, one of the monkeys was getting closer to us, rapidly swinging as he aimed in our direction.

And once he reached closer.

I took a step forward.

[Dash!]

Using a simple dash as I intercepted his attack at Trisha, I aimed for his neck, killing him swiftly in one go.

[You have killed a Level 22 Twin-Tailed Monkey!]

[You have received 525 Exp!]

"All right. Now let's get out of here before the other monsters swarm around us," I spoke as I then moved one step closer into the jungle.
