MMORPG: Rebirth of the Legendary TimeKeeper

Chapter 126: Into the Graveyard

A graveyard! Raven's eyes glittered as she heard Ezekiel's words about the next destination they were going to.

It was the cemetery behind the Ancient Temple where the bodies of those who had worked in the temple were buried.

After they had finished receiving everything the Garden had to offer, they were using the Key to the Cemetery to move to the next area and solve all the problems present there.

According to what Ezekiel had said, this place was also one of the gateways to heaven where the Gods resided, though nobody knows how to open the path. And even though it's a temple, the chances of finding a ghoul or zombie were also high.

Though it sounded dreadful, this was something that somehow excited Raven even more.

She loved death or anything related to it. Despite being hidden underground for years, she was somewhat connected to the connection of death and such. And once, when her sister brought a bunch of books and rituals in relation to demonic possessions and demonic calling, she even fell in love with it.

While she was very frugal with the points she had collected in the organization, this was something she usually spent some of her points on to research more into it. Look more into it.

In fact, one of the places on her list to visit after she escaped from the facility was the graveyards, to check out the atmosphere.

Now that she was actually visiting a graveyard, where actual zombies and ghouls were present, she couldn't help but get excited about it.

"Somebody is excited," Trisha nudged her while having a similar excited smile. Though she wasn't excited about the cemetery, finding something that her best friend liked, she couldn't help but be happy as well.

Raven nodded before saying," I like graveyards. It somehow makes me feel at peace."

A typical Goth girl.

It would have weirded out most normal people, which it was kind of doing in the comment section. But given the goth culture somewhat prevalent in these times, it wasn't something out of the ordinary.

Trisha even had a friend who was a crazy fanatic about ghosts and such. Hence, she wasn't alien to these ideas and knew how to steer the conversation on such topics.

"What do you like the most? Ghosts, Vampires, Zombies or werewolves?" She asked, making Raven ponder a bit before responding,

"Vampire."

To be precise, what Raven loved was Dracula, or perhaps Alucard. It was one of her favourite characters from the novels that she had read, and somehow she always wanted to meet him in real life… even though it was a far-fetched fantasy.

"Ooh! So why did you not choose to be a Vampire?" Trisha asked, a little confused. If she had chosen to be a Vampire, there was a higher chance of her meeting other Vampire NPCs.

"I… uh… have circumstances," was the answer Raven could muster.

Hearing that, Trisha could only nod before looking at the chilly cemetery gate in front of her. Looking at the building on her right, the back of the Ancient temple, she could see the coloured glass and the bell at the top of the Cathedral.

"It feels like we're in medieval Europe… or at least its ruins," she added, making another nod at her.

"I am opening the gate now," Ezekiel said as he moved closer to the gate and put the key in. Opening both the gates, he then signalled the party to enter it slowly.

This is a graveyard?!!! Raven's excitement reached a new peak as she saw the gravestones lined from the very start, while a few Mesolium were present at a distance.

She scanned the creepy-looking trees and the barely alive flowers. There were also a few more things, the scarecrow and the elevated graves, that seemed out of place and symmetry in comparison to everything else, but for now, she decided to follow Ezekiel and see where they were going.

Their destination seemed to be a certain gray mausoleum, which was centrally constructed in the graveyard behind a huge oak tree. At least about 20 meters surrounding that mausoleum, there were no graves present. Only a bunch of golden yellow flowers that spread in a perfect circle.

It's exciting. But not as exciting as I thought it would be. Raven pondered, feeling her dream was coming true. But somehow, despite everything being almost the same as she wanted to be, it did not bring her the exact happiness she was looking for.

Something felt to be missing from all this.

"Usually, you will find a graveyard house in the center of the graveyard. One of my friends, who is a fanatic of these types of things, once explained her fantasy to me. Everything aligned with her dream except the missing gravehouse," Trisha mumbled out her thoughts, making Raven realize what she was missing.

It was exactly that. Also, a basement below the gravehouse.

Too bad because of the Temple, the Gravehouse was never needed here. She sighed before calming down. In her heart, she also felt relieved that her love for these things was not fake, but it was a little less than what she had expected.

Still, she was happy that she was able to see even this much. Especially given her conditions.

"We are almost there," Ezekiel said as he pointed to the mausoleum that was just a few minutes away. From a distance, it did indeed look like an ordinary building, but now that they were here, they could see that it was nothing simple.

The yellow flowers were somewhat glowing, magic floating out of them all around the grave, while the Mausoleum itself had a scary vibe, something that felt far too ominous to even look at.

But the most important of all was the white-haired, almost dead man, sleeping outside the mausoleum gate. Almost because one could see his chest moving slowly, signifying that he was still alive.

"Be careful. He is the Mini-Boss monster of this Graveyard," Ezekiel then warned as he looked at the guy with an extremely cautious face.
