MMORPG: Rebirth of the Legendary TimeKeeper

Chapter 133: Meanwhile: The Bodyguard

"That is all for the report."

G, or real name Gabriel, finished his reports for today.

Standing straight in a black three-piece bodyguard suit, he waited for his superior, Revas Vincent. The Father of Trisha Vincent.

Other than the white hair and caucasian skin colour, Gabriel looked exactly similar to his in-game avatar. Even the scar on his left eye was something he recreated in the game.

Raven Vincent, on the other hand, wore a white suit with a rose pink shirt matching the hair. His rosewood glasses added a certain charm to the whole look, which somehow made his unreadable expression somewhat cute.

"Seems like my daughter is quite enjoying the game. Make sure she doesn't encounter anything unnecessary," Revas added with a slight smile before giving a serious command. He then picked up the cup of espresso and took a sip out of it.

"You are dismissed now," he added.

Bowing once more, Gabriel left the room. Stepping outside, a tired and exhausted look replaced his poker face while his steps slowly took him back into Trisha's room.

I should still be able to stay awake for two more days, but that would mean compromising in the game.

He weighed the pros and the cons before deciding that it would be best for him to sleep as well. As long as Trisha was within the house, there would be no danger to her, so it was fine for him to take a break. He was given permission by Trisha to do so.

But I still don't understand why she won't tell her father about Ezekiel. Gabriel pondered.

On Trisha's orders, he had been giving only a portion of the information to the Vincents. He didn't tell anything about Ezekiel or the raid, but filled in about everything else. For example, he told them about the raid quest, the fact that they were going on a mission to find a subclass for her, but nothing that connected them to Ezekiel and this particular raid.

But then again, who am I to question my master's motive? In the end, he decided not to think about it. If Trisha were to ask him to die, he would gladly do so. Something like hiding information was quite small in comparison.

Before reaching the room, he went into the kitchen and prepared some sandwiches for Trisha and then placed them in the refrigerator. He was sure that she would get hungry if she woke up at night.

After preparing enough portions, he then stretched a little before moving into Trisha's room and then into the corner sofa where he would usually sleep, according to Trisha's order.

Gabriel looked at the sleeping Trisha for a few seconds before removing his coat and then placing it on the nearby stand. Once done with that, he lay on the sofa and then closed his eyes before recalling the morning events.

After the three-day raid, Trisha ran towards the kitchen, filling her stomach with whatever she could find. She ate thrice as much as she usually would before drinking at least 2 litres of water at once.

As for the headache, she took a few aspirin pills before she felt somewhat better. Bloated from overeating, but still better.

While the physical exhaustion was somewhat easier to deal with, the mental exhaustion was heavy. Really heavy. She wanted to just run and hit the bed, but before that, she greeted her family members, prepared a cup of milkshake she would need after waking up, and finally took a shower to wash away all the sweat she had accumulated over 24 hours.

Changing into her pyjamas and setting up her bed, she then messaged everyone that she would be sleeping for the rest of the day and immediately went to bed.

Just in case she asked Gabriel to wake her up the next day.

The alarms! Recalling the alarms, Gabriel immediately set three alarms, each one an hour apart, before the raid began.

Previously, Gabriel used to sleep in the small storage room beside Trisha's room. But after Trisha's order that it would be better for him to sleep in the same room if he wanted to protect her, he decided to do that. Trisha also asked for permission from her father and brother.

A quick warning was given by the duo to Gabriel, but overall, permission was granted.

All that matters is she is happy and safe. Even if she orders me to kill someone or give up my life, I would do so. Gabriel mumbled in a low voice, repeating the same sentence he had done every night before sleeping. It was his ritual. His prayer.

He was saved by Trisha when he had nobody to count on. Provided food and shelter, which everyone else took away from him. His entire life belonged to Trisha, and he was happy to follow her even in the deepest pits of hell if she asked him to do so.

Recalling the past, his mind went back to a decade ago when the 9-year-old Trisha asked his father to help the 13-year-old Gabriel. His entire family was killed in a gang war, and after escaping and running away from the rival gang, he was on the verge of death on a random highway.

The white car stopped, and the pink-haired child walked out of it. Carrying a pink coloured toy that made a soothing sound, she played with it as she reached closer to Gabriel.

"Father. I want you to take him with us," she said in a sympathetic voice before changing Gabriel's entire life that day. From a boy who was about to die, to a guardian whose work was to protect his master. Not the best of the lives he could have lived, but he was proud of what he was.

I should sleep now. Exhaustion consumed his entire mind. Slowly letting his mind wander, he soon gave up his will to stay awake anymore.

I hope Miss is safe until I wake up. He prayed silently at last before finally falling asleep and getting completely lost in dreams.
