MMORPG: Rebirth of the Legendary TimeKeeper

Chapter 132: Meanwhile: A Lone Raven

"The target is in sight," Livia, also known as Raven, whispered as she carried the food-filled tray in her hands towards the young man in his early 20s.

The black-haired man, surrounded by three barely dressed women, enjoyed the delicacies of the bar. Taking shots of alcohol with the rest of his friends, he passed down ugly comments to all whom he could look at.

He looked at Livia for a few seconds before focusing on the chest area. Then, losing interest, he began playing with the ones around him. Raven, on the other hand, was just about to glare, but…

-Focus, Blackbird.

Her elder sister, who also partook in the same mission, stopped her from doing anything idiotic.

"I know," Livia mumbled in a low voice before placing the tray on the table and moving away from there without any visible emotion on her face.

It was Livia's second mission in the outside world.

The target, named Bentley, was one of the youngest children of a corrupt police chief.

Apparently, this guy, Bentley, had kidnapped one of his college mates about 3 weeks ago, and then, after continuous abuse for more than 2 weeks, killed her before throwing her body in a nearby garbage dump.

A few hours later, her body was found by the local, who happened to walk his dog as part of his daily activities. There was also evidence, but due to the corrupt chief, the boy got off scot-free without having to pay for anything.

The one who commissioned the assassins in this case was the girl's father. He sold his entire fortune just to make sure that this bastard has to pay. Though his condition wasn't to kill him, but to cut off his private parts and then feed it to him while recording it and then spreading it on social media, along with the crimes he had committed.

For the past three days, Raven had been tailing this guy, observing his daily activities, trying to find the correct time for her plans to begin.

It would have been easier for a simple assassination, though. She thought as she made her way out from the back of the restaurant, and then to a nearby black car where Castellina was waiting for her.

Poised against the black sedan, Castellina sipped the ready-to-drink cappuccino before focusing on Livia. Adjusting the rectangular glasses, she then passed the other cup to Livia before asking,

"Did you finish it?"

"I do have information about him. But the plan needs to wait for at least 2 to 3 days. Staying conscious for more than 3 days is more taxing than I imagined. It might hinder my response time," Livia answered.

"Thought so. I had already taken permission to delay the mission," Castellina added as if already expecting this much. Sipping a bit more of the coffee, she saw Livia sighing before moving towards the passenger seat.

"Quite generous of them," she added sarcastically.

"After the information you provided them, I guess, they started giving you more importance than before," Castellina explained before opening the driver's seat, sitting, and then starting the engine.

The Ancient Language, huh? Livia recalled what happened in the game before turning to Castellina, saying,

"Can we go to a graveyard nearby?"

She had already seen one in the game, but she wanted to see a real one. Her eyes glistened a little, to which Castellina pondered. Checking the time, she then nodded before answering,

"I guess we can make some time."

The graveyard was about 10 minutes away, during which they discussed the mission and a few things that happened in the game. Reaching the graveyard, Raven got out first, followed by Castellina.

When the duo reached at least 100 meters away from the car, far deeper into the graveyard…

"I have turned on the Jammer. What did you want to talk about?" Castellina asked, turning serious.

Both sisters were being monitored by the sect; Each word was taken into account, and everything that either of them said was being recorded. Other than that, a location chip was also implanted in their bodies somewhere, making them easily traceable in case they decided to run away.

The only time they had some freedom was when they were in their own rooms. Not because the sect didn't monitor them at that time, but due to human negligence, given that one cannot monitor the sisters 24/7.

A few weeks ago, Raven's importance was far less, so she wasn't monitored as much. But now that she had proved herself, the sect was especially going to keep each of her activities in mind. Hence, the only time she could be serious with her sister was when they were both on the same mission. That too for a bare few minutes lest the sect start doubting them.

Talked with Ezekiel. He said that he needs to finish his own business before he can help. He erased the recording of that, too," Livia explained in a few short sentences, making Castellina widen her eyes before nodding and adding,

"Be careful. Don't bring this topic with him until an emergency comes or when he brings it first."

Livia nodded before signalling that it was all she needed to say. Turning off the Jammer immediately, Castellina began saying some random words about the graveyards, while Livia listened and asked questions.

While there was a small chance that the sect might be alerted, it was of higher probability that they would pass it as a signal error.

"I would like to return to the hotel now. My mind is getting blank every few seconds," Livia said as her consciousness was starting to lag now. While her body was physically fit, her mind wasn't. She even started seeing blurred images at times, signifying that she might pass out any moment now.

Understanding the situation, Castellina nodded before taking her back to the car and then to the hotel.

Hitting the bed, Raven's body immediately fell into a deep sleep, making Castellina sigh. She then helped her remove the socks and then cover her with a blanket.

Good luck, Livia. She mumbled in a low voice before moving out to continue her own mission, which she had put on hold.
