The breakfast was a buffet of several high-quality snacks and dishes. There were all sorts of delicacies from cities all over the Mars Kingdom.
After having his fill, Jinn went downstairs. He ate on the tables arranged in the shop all alone. He could tell many kids wanted to approach him but refrained from doing it.
He did not know if it was because they were shy or if they just wanted to observe him from a distance.
Even Evelyn Little, who walked into the shop with him, sat on a different table all alone, and Jinn did not seem to care enough to get close to her all of a sudden.
The Cursed princess had already finished her breakfast and went down first.
Despite this, she managed to eat more than Jinn did.
***
Following the directions mentioned on the mysterious letter, Jinn arrived before one of the classrooms on the first floor.
With a push, Jinn walked through the door and entered the silent class.
Despite the silence, he was not alone in there.
Evelyn Little and the blue-haired, rude young man Jinn encountered in the morning were sitting on opposite corners of the class.
There was another girl with an innocent face and blue hair shyly sitting in the middle of the room. Seeing the cold looks on the faces of her classmates, she looked like she was about to cry.
Her blue hair was different from Lloyd's. It was a lighter shade, resembling the sky.
Her bright eyes widened with hope when she saw Jinn entering the room. She looked at him like he was her lord and savior, there to save her from the torment.
'She must be dreading coming in so early now.' Jinn chuckled, seeing the state of the unknown girl.
'Sorry, unknown girl, but your confidence in me is misplaced.'
He was having a better time thinking about how he was going to crush the hopes of the girl since he was not going to do what she was hoping for.
Suppressing the grin that threatened to appear on his face, Jinn walked up the stairs of the tiered seats.
The classroom had auditorium-like seating.
With each step he climbed, the hope in the blue-haired girl's eyes deepened.
However, just as a smile appeared on her face upon seeing Jinn's eyes meet hers, her heart shattered.
The black-haired devil suddenly turned around and took a seat on the bench three seats ahead of her.
With his back against her, she could not help but slump in her seat with a sad smile on her almost crying face.
Evelyn and Lloyd were watching Jinn's every move, but none of them said anything.
While the former did not seem to notice anything and merely looked away after a simple glance, the latter seemed to have caught something.
Seeing the faint smirk on Jinn's face that disappeared as soon as it appeared, Evelyn thought to herself, 'What a sadist.'
She realized Jinn had done everything on purpose. He was even walking slowly on purpose to destroy her hopes only after he had raised them as high as he could.
'What a cruel man.' She glanced at the flinching girl from the corner of her eye, and a smirk found her face before she even knew it.
Jinn did not know his actions were exposed under the sharp eyes of The Cursed Princess.
His eyes were now focused on the wide blackboard, which had two words crafted on it with beautiful colors.
WHAT NOW?
Although curious about the meaning behind those words or the reason why they were written, Jinn turned his attention to the bag he had purchased in the morning.
He shoved his hand in the bag and pulled out a book at random and started reading it to pass the time.
'What a show-off.' The blue-haired boy snorted in disdain before leaning back in the seat and closing his eyes.
Evelyn merely glanced at him before looking ahead without doing anything.
'Waa—I should have brought my books as well. I would not be having such a hard time right now.' The blue-haired girl cried tears of regret and cursed Jinn internally.
'Isn't this one of the handsome male classmates? Why is he so dense? Doesn't he see a beauty like me sitting here in distress? Don't you save the damsel in distress? What is so wrong with him?'
Fortunately for the beauty, she did not have to sit alone for long; within a few minutes, other approachable girls walked in.
"Hello there. Nice to meet you." Some of them approached the blue-haired damsel and rescued her from hell. While the other more daring ones approached Jinn and Lloyd.
But they did not sit next to them or start a conversation. Instead, they took a seat on the benches in the front and the back.
Seeing Jinn so immersed in reading a book called human anatomy, those girls squealed while gossiping among themselves.
Time passed, and soon the clock struck 8:30 AM.
Right on the clock, a young woman who appeared to be in her late twenties or early thirties strode into the room with a commanding pose.
She was wearing the professor's robes and holding a huge box that shielded its contents from any prying eyes.
The class suddenly turned silent. No one had expected the teacher to arrive so early when the note had asked them to arrive before 8:45.
"Good lord, it's a relief that I came early."
"Was this a test as well?"
All sorts of gossip started to rise, and even the teacher made no efforts in stopping them, so the voices only grew higher.
Among the students present, only a few of the boys had arrived on time, while the rest were slowly entering the class at the last minute.
As soon as they saw the teacher on the stand before the podium, they would freeze up before greeting her.
To their greetings, she would nod curtly before glancing between the clock and the students before her.
When the minute hand finally rested on the number 45, she turned and walked to the class gate. She turned and walked to the class gate.
Just as she was about to shut the gate, someone slid into the classroom at the last second.
"Am I late?" Jinn finally looked up from the book, hearing the familiar voice from the front.
