Emiris made his move.

Placing Penelope down behind him, both of his hands rose toward the descending hooves.

His flesh burned away to reveal a nanotech layer etched with golden lines that flared to life, forming shifting glyphs in the air.

In the next moment, a golden barrier expanded from his hands, encasing both him and Penelope just as the goat's massive hooves came crashing down upon it.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

A powerful explosion of white lightning and gold erupted, sending a massive shockwave rippling through the entire hall.

"VAAAANNN!"

Emiris's roar blasted out from beneath the barrier he had formed, both arms spasming repeatedly as he struggled to hold back the creature's massive hooves from crushing him to paste.

Immediately,

CRACKLE!

The sound of lightning cackling echoed through another part of the hall, coming from none other than the lanky guy who had undergone clear changes.

For one, the clothes on his right arm had been blown apart, pitch-black lightning crackling over pitch-black nanotech arms.

They swirled and converged rapidly, forming a five-meter-long spear in his hand, crackling with dark, destructive energy.

Taking a single step, the spear was raised overhead as Van lunged forward, throwing it forward.

KAAABOOOOM!

Another wave of devastation rippled out as Emiris forcefully detonated the glyph blocking Norald's attack, just as the black lightning spear collided with Norald's foot.

Norald's leg was pushed back, throwing him off balance, while the other slammed into its opposite leg, further destabilizing him.

Immediately, his massive body came crashing down from the sky.

"NOW! DESTROY HIM NOW!"

Emiris roared out, and immediately, all four young men jumped into the air, appearing before Norald.

A massive ten-meter-long black spear, writhing with lightning, appeared in Van's right hand, another forming in his left, and instantly, both were thrown forward, heading straight for Norald's skull.

A massive broadsword, five meters in length, had formed in Emiris's own hands.

Held by his golden mechanical arms, he slashed downward, sending a powerful arc of golden energy toward Norald.

Zeke's arms had fully transformed into massive bomb nozzles, their tips crackling with destructive crimson energy before unleashing twin beams of devastating light aimed at Norald.

The last was Everlearn, who held a gauntlet in one hand aimed at Norald, while his other hand gripped his shoulder, steadying the targeting mechanism on Norald's head.

"Maximum Destruct Protocol: Absolute Erasure!"

KABOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

With such a flurry of destructive attacks, the space rumbled chaotically.

The fate of the goatearring protector seemed sealed for destruction, but that destiny was forcefully altered.

CRAAACKKK!

The sound of fracturing roared as all four of its horns suddenly turned outward, their tips pointing directly at all four attackers.

Immediately, white lightning crackled over their tips, carrying terrifying arcane power, and in the next moment,

RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIP!

A shockwave rippled forth for every crackle of lightning, blasting toward all four and their attacks.

BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANG!

To Everlearn, it was like he had rammed his hands into a wall.

CREEAAAAK!

The sound of his bones creaking rang out as the white lightning completely tore through the destructive rays from his nozzle and slammed straight into him, blowing him away.

BOOOOM!

BOOOOM!

BOOOOM!

The ground shook from the force as he repeatedly crashed into it before smashing into the wall, disappearing into the human-shaped hole.

Van's two spears were blown apart into bits, and the lightning beam slammed straight into his chest, flinging him into the ceiling.

Emiris's broadsword cleaved through the pillar for about three seconds, but the white lightning was unending.

His sword was forcefully flung backwards, as he himself was sent flying along with it, his sword stabbed into the ground as he was continuously dragged away.

Zeke's destructive nozzles that had replaced his arms were blown apart, and he was sent flying upward.

But he hadn't even flown far when Norald suddenly shot out its claw, grabbing the chubby young man in its devilish grasp.

CRACK!

The wall split apart as a hand tore out from the cracks, holding the edge tightly.

The figure was none other than Everlearn, teeth clenched tightly in pain as he dragged himself out of the hole.

But his pained expression quickly faded, replaced by sheer disbelief.

He looked forward, just in time to witness Zeke, the chubby dude, right in the claws of Norald.

"HEL—"

Zeke shouted out, but his words were never completed before the claws folded inwards.

They pierced through him, two tearing into his torso while another stabbed through his head, tearing out from his forehead.

Norald widened his claws right after.

BOOOOOM!

A mini explosion followed, sending blood and organs splashing through the air, as Zeke was torn to pieces.

"He… he died!" Everlearn said in disbelief as red blood rained upon him, his heart thumping hard within his rib cage.

One of them had just been killed, claws slicing into him before twisting and tearing him to pieces.

"YOU WILL PAYYY!!"

An angered roar thundered out as a figure charged forward.

"Van, no!"

Emiris shouted, his hand reaching forward, but the lanky guy had moved too fast.

In his arms, two massive spears, each twenty meters in length, rose, both crackling with furious lightning.

Immediately, Norald's claws slashed toward him, but Van jumped, weaving through the bony gaps.

Racing across Norald's hands, he surged forward with incredible speed, a blur of darkness, and leaped away just as Norald's other claw smashed into the spot he was before.

"DIIIIIIIIIIIIIEEE!"

Van roared out, both spears in hand, stabbing forward with every last ounce of power within him.

They smashed straight into Norald's bony skull, one thrusting into its forehead, the other piercing the hollow GAP where its eyes ought to have been.

Half of the spear was buried deep into Narold's head, as Van exhaled roughly.

But then, a roar rang out.

"BEHIND YOU!"

Emiris shouted as Van turned his head, just in time to see a claw reaching for his back.

In an instant, he darted away in a blur of black, narrowly avoiding the claw strike by a hair's breadth.

But then, Norald's head jerked forward!

BLLEEERRRRGH!

Blood burst from his lips as Van looked down at his chest.

Right there, the sharp tip of a horn had pierced clean through, sparking with white lightning!
