Giving a glance at the time, Everlearn noticed it was still 4:47 in the evening.
Still a lot of time before night falls, and usually the second-year students would be in classes, but today was an exception because it was a Sunday.
There was something he had to pick up, so he rose from his seat and reached for the door.
He was also curious about places he had wondered about during his first year, and he would love to see what they were truly like.
One of those places was an area labelled All for One Extermination!
_______
Although curious about his surroundings, Everlearn prioritized picking up the objects he needed.
He arrived at the building and, upon stepping inside, saw a woman whose appearance made him pause.
She was familiar, and he remembered.
She was the same spectacled lady he had met when he had first come to the academy, where he had gotten his devices and cards from.
But she had been at the academy's entrance. How was she here again?
That was when he began picking up the differences.
This woman was a bit different.
She was slightly older, with darker eyes and hair.
║ It's a twin.║
The system linked, and it finally dawned on him.
She raised her head in that moment of realization, witnessing Everlearn stepping forward.
"Don't tell me you're here 'cause your lab coat got burned off during the experiment?"
She said as Everlearn paused.
"Uh? Is that a thing?" he asked as she furrowed her eyebrows.
She didn't respond; instead, she quickly typed on her keyboard.
She paused after a few seconds, a glint crossing through her eyes.
"Oh, so you're the one who just got promoted. Hmm, Everlearn Snowfall?"
She said, and he nodded.
"Yes. Just came in to..."
"I know what you're here for," she said, cutting him off before he could complete his sentence as her hands rapidly typed on the keyboard.
It continued quietly for about a minute before she rose to her feet.
"Wait here, and don't you dare move!"
She said this before turning her back and disappearing through a door on the side.
'Quite the fiery woman.'
His eyes scanned her huge desk for a moment before he turned away, noticing some of the murals on the walls.
"Beautiful artwork," he mused, taking a couple of steps away toward the walls.
The room was spacious, with only a desk and chair at one end.
But all over the walls were these interesting murals that caught his attention.
They weren't paintings but resembled artwork made from gem pieces with different colors forming distinct designs.
Some were illustrations of tall structures, modern-looking yet completely different from the modernity he knew.
There were illustrations of celestial bodies, and one star caught his eye.
A blue star, present in every mural.
Even in the building murals, there was that same blue star hanging in the sky like a moon.
"Just what are these…" he mused, his hand reaching for the picture of the star.
His heart pounded louder the closer his hand got to it, but he never touched it.
Just a few inches away, a second hand grabbed his, stopping him.
He froze, turning his head to find her dark eyes looking at him through the spectacles.
"I said, don't you dare move," she said, gripping his hand tightly, and he caressed the back of his head.
"My bad. Still, no harm caused, though?" he said.
She paused, her eyes turning to the place on his arm where she had gripped him.
She let go of him afterward, before her other hand raised, throwing him a bag.
He caught it, hugging it to his chest from the weight.
"That's all you need."
"Though lab coats are free, I don't want you coming to my place every three days. So better take care of them so they don't get burned!"
She warned, and his brows quivered, watching her return to her seat.
"What's with lab coats getting burned anyway?" he mused before shrugging it off.
Giving one last look at the mural, one thing was clear: those pictures were weird.
But in the end, they were just pictures, and he wasn't some nerdy art guy.
He wore the bag before turning back and disappearing from the building.
The spectacled lady took her seat, watching him disappear into the distance.
She unconsciously turned to the hand that had grabbed him.
"He couldn't feel my touch…" she mused to herself with creased eyebrows, and in the next moment, the flesh of her hand suddenly peeled off, replaced by a bizarre astrality.
Her right hand had no flesh and blood anymore.
They had turned translucent, within which were star-like particles, making her hands look like they had been crafted from part of the void.
They were magical hands, rippling with Arcana.
This was a secret power of hers, one that, with a single touch, sent most Corers right to their feet in pain, with some knocked out cold.
Yet when she had touched him and gripped hard, he had not reacted at all, almost as if it was just a normal touch.
"Only one with Arcane, like the Nakros, will not feel anything. Just what are you really, Everlearn Snowfall…"

"Hey, to get in is 150 points! Pay it up or scrraaaam!"
The harsh words reverberated in the area where a young man with a bag stood before another sitting high above at a large desk, his eyes gazing down at Everlearn.
"Fuck you, you thief! 150 points for entrance!? The fuck?"
Everlearn shot back in disbelief.
He had wanted to check out this place, All for One Extermination, an exclusive place for the 2nd years.
Yet this bastard was saying the entrance would cost him 150 points!?
Fucking 150 POINTS!!!
Even when the poster by the side of his head clearly stated 10 points for entrance.
It was clear he was just preventing him from entering, and worse, he didn't even know him.
"You're just a brokie. Shoo off and let some real dude in," the guy said mercilessly as Everlearn scoffed.
"Yeah, right. Why you seated so high anyway? Don't tell me you're as short as your little dick?"
He replied, watching the young man's head turn red.
'Seems like that got him,' he mused, grinning satisfactorily as he turned his back to leave.
"You bastard! You're just mad 'cause you broke, you brokie!"
He shot back at Everlearn before he could disappear.
"At least I ain't got a small dick like yours," Everlearn replied, leaving with a loud laugh.
"YOU BASTAAAAAARD!!!!"
