Beyond SSS-Rank After Getting The God System

Chapter 225: Family Conflict Part 1

"Lady Lillim, I thank you deeply for helping Carl, guiding him on the path of realising his potential. Now please show me where I'm lacking so I can do the same for my young master."

As he finished speaking, the realm he had activated rapidly expanded, twisting, warping, stretching and folding into a chaotic and monochromatic non-euclidean space. One that left Lillim standing in black zone with her nemesis...Stairs.

It was essentially the old de facto example of a non-euclidean space, with staircases twisted all around, some normal, some seemingly impossible to use as they hung upside down or ascending completely vertical.

"Not afraid to go for the jugular I see..." Lillim grumbled as she looked about.

"Allow me to explain. The black squares are self-contained realms of Order, the white are self-contained realms of Chaos. They each reflect what the individual perceives as the embodiment of that aspect of the larger law.

Why you are perceiving that one as stairs is beyond me."

Equinox's voice was coming from nowhere in particular, but seemingly from the world around her, impressing her to no end with how much control he was demonstrating over such a massive space.

"Never would have guessed you're the same type as Eckro, but the problem with these abilities is that whilst exceptionally powerful, the user is subject to them as well."

"Which is why I so dutifully seek Balance in all things I do." Equinox's voice was suddenly singular and both versions of him seemed to melt in from the steps and prepared and began a short exchange that saw them unable to pressure her in the slightest.

"Your power is commendable, but you lack experience and motivation. You aren't cut out for a fight against a creature who has fought and killed for length of time I have."

"Truth be told, I figured as much. Which is why I'm so glad you rejected your more orderly self."

Lillim grumbled, looking around at the stairs all about her and then simply began moving, hoping that she could find a realm of Chaos she could enjoy.

---Kitsunoko's Revenge And Raziel's Debut---

Kitsunoko had flooded the field with copies, not all mere illusions but some were solid and some were actually her aunts which she had disguised to look like her. While she watched Chaos unfold through the ranks of her aunts, she was sat quite comfortably on Tiamutael's head as he swatted them away with his tail and blew them away with gusts created with his wings.

"I'm surprised you aren't getting more involved, Ki-ko. Wouldn't you normally be punching people in the shins?"

"I'm waiting for my arch-enemy to show herself. Hopefully Dad or one of the others hasn't beaten her yet."

"Sister, you don't have an arch-enemy here, you just have a lot of aunts and not much hope of beating any of the stronger ones."

As he finished, her ears pricked up at the sound of a voice she had been waiting for and she said goodbye to her brother before using him as a slide and then casually taking the time to complain about how un-slide-like his scales are despite the fact he had been swatting some away and she landed in the middle of a crowd.

As she ducked, dipped, squeezed, nudged and slid through the army of aunts, she eventually found herself looking at her target's back. The moment she did, she cracked her knuckles, hopped from foot to foot and made her declaration with raised fists.

"Well, Well, Well! We meet again Auntie Juliana! I have come to vanquish you!"

Juliana turned to face her and walked slowly towards her. "Impressive, little one. You have grown a lot in a short time indeed. You haven't grown enough t-"

Kitsunoko didn't wait for her to finish, just ducked in to close the gap. "Ki-ko punch!" Her shout ended in a dead thud like she had punched a brick wall as her fist connected with Juliana's shin as ineffectually as ever.

Juliana reached down and picked her up as carefully as possible by the arm that had struck her. "Little one, your spirit is unshakable and determination remarkable, but throwing yourself into fights you can't win is foolish, now su-"

"Ha! Ha! Ha! And just like that you have fallen into my super-dangerous trap!"

"Trap? Fine, spring it so I can go scold your parents for not teaching you when to quit."

"Ow! Ow! Ow! OWWWWW! My Arm!" The pretend yelling was obvious, but convincing to anyone not looking at her smug grin, but the illusory sound of bones breaking made her wonder if the girl was just a masochist for a second.

When she realised that was fake too, she spent another second wondering if she was trying to earn her enemies mercy, but finally the true nature of her plan was revealed when Carl in demon form and both her mums appeared and swatted her aside without restraint.

"See, Aunt Juliana, that is how you vanquish an enemy..." Ki-ko chuckled smugly to herself, before being chopped on the head by all three of her parents.

"Do you have any idea how worried we were!"

"Your little trick distracted me so badly I would be dead if I was mortal!"

"Get back on your brother's head and stay out of trouble. No more direct involvement young lady! Now go!"

"Yes Dad, yes Mamma Klaire, yes Mamma Kyubi..." She then slunk off back to her crow's nest, listening to her parents apologise for her antics and bring the fight in the immediate area to a pause.

As she clambered up her brother's scales and retook her seat between his horns, the fight immediately erupted again as her three parents broke off to different areas of the field of battle.

"Sorry if I worried you too little brother."

"No, I kind of figured what you were going to do, I'm just grateful Razy was following you to keep you out of sight. At least try to be sneaky when you're moving through an enemy army, whatever you saw future-you doing, you aren't that strong yet."

"Oh I don't know what future-me can do. Why would I want to ruin what I'm sure is a great story? Anyway, shush, I think Razy's going to show what she can do!"

As Kitsunoko said it, she allowed the daughters of Lillim to perceive her and spoke up to the best of her bashful ability. "Erm, err, excuse me! Everyone! Can you just surrender please? I'm not really a fighter but I can make you, but it will be gross and I'd rather not!"

She was hovering just above them, scrunching her dress up in her hands and trying to ignore Kitsunoko's cheering from atop Tiamutael's head.

"Just surrender little one."

"Err, sorry, no. I mean I want you to surrender, can you, please?"

The daughters around her started chuckling, if it was a friendly no consequence match, then they might have. Unfortunately, their allegiance was at stake and she wasn't doing a good job at making them prefer the easy option.

"We are demons little one, we won't simply yield to an angel and you don't seem to be a fighter. Give, up."

Raziel looked back at her siblings and over at the rest of her family engaging the mass of daughters and steeled herself. "Sorry, I did try to avoid this..." When she was done talking, there was a second of chuckling that ceased immediately as they lost their ability to see. "...Oh right, Brother said I had to shout the name of my skill for impact. Law of Mind: Sensory Tyrant!"

As the demons tried to push aura into their eyes and those who had it, divinity, their sight suddenly came back in overdrive. It didn't end there though, she sent every single sense of every single demon in her vicinity out of control, fluctuating wildly between off, normal and overcharged.

As they fell into disorientation, they vomited and clawed one another accidentally and in the end Raziel felt guilty and started crying as she cancelled her ability. "Please surrender, I don't like this." She then flew directly to her siblings for comfort as everyone caught in the attack surrendered in case she became resolved, which they sensed would only take one of the others getting injured.

"See you did it little sister! Good job!..." Kitsunoko glared at her aunts for not congratulating her as well and in a weird turn those on the far end of the conflict suddenly had their attention grabbed by the kids area filling with congratulations.

"Leanna, what is happening with your grandkids?"

"I have no idea..." Leanna grumbled as she covered her eyes with two of her hands. "...I get the feeling that the one crying was the victor and the one consoling her did something weird and got told to stay out of trouble, but common sense doesn't really apply to them."

"Well, they're your grandchildren."
