Just as Modret had guessed, a few days after he left, Axel started getting worried.
At first he waved it off and continued engaging in small talks with Angel, but with more than a week passing he knew that something must have definitely gone wrong.
Frowning, he spent a day treading through the snow land to find a place for Angel to stay in the meantime while he checked up on Modret.
Thankfully, after a day of searching he found a little village with roughly ten members where the little girl could stay for a while.
After scrutinizing the villagers thoroughly, Axel was finally at ease leaving her with them after confirming that there was nothing wrong with the villagers.
Of course it was strange for a group of villagers to be living in this snow land, nevertheless Axel didn't let it bother him, at least not for now, since a lot of people had their preferences.
With all that done, he then left for the Ice Pyramid Arena.
Upon getting there he scouted the place for a bit, only to see Modret in his transformed state, casually battling.
Seeing Modret's signal, he understood that Modret was most likely plotting something and the plan to recklessly attack that had started brewing in his mind was instantly abandoned.
He reluctantly hid in place and decided to wait for Modret's next orders as time progressed.
…
"As more time passes, our lives are being lost every day… there is no point in delaying further. We have to attack now!" Modret's loud voice boomed through the silent dungeon.
The place remained silent for a few more minutes before voices of agreement began resounding in the cell.
A smirk tugged at the corner of Modret's lips.
After a week, his plan had finally succeeded.
He had convinced the group to attack the cell and all the Awakened Beasts.
The clatter of chains resounded in the room and Modret could tell that it was the beasts getting up and ready to fight.
That aside, Modret could sense the unbridled anger that the half humans had been harboring for days begin to surface.
Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!
Thunderous sounds resounded as the half humans burst their prison cell apart with a loud crash.
Then, figures of all sorts of proportions began emerging from the cold steel cell.
Their faces were gloomy and the faint hum of mana cloaked their bodies.
It was clear to all that they were poised to attack.
Modret didn't delay and immediately sent a fire petal toward his own dungeon cell, causing it to explode with a resounding boom.
The cell melted away instantly, unable to withstand the destructive might of Modret's flames.
After he was done with this, Modret didn't delay in the slightest and led the group.
Unaware of what was happening, two guards stationed outside the dungeon furrowed their brows into a frown.
"Are these worthless half humans having some sort of discussions inside?"
"We should probably silence them. They've been behaving like this for a week now. Most likely they've found new ways to keep themselves entertained in preparation for their inevitable demise."
Hearing the words of the guard who looked like a Lizard, a laugh escaped the other guard.
With that they returned to their previous silence and continued engrossing themselves in whatever they were doing.
Boom!
Just as they were engrossed in whatever they were about to do, a loud crash resounded and the gate exploded outward, crashing onto the Lizard guard with a resounding bang.
A few seconds of silence passed, broken only by the sizzling sound of the melting gate.
As the sizzling continued, within a few minutes it had completely melted onto the Lizard, melting away with him and killing him off.
The other guard instantly stood up with a jolt and turned in shock toward the dungeon.
Before he could even alert the others, he noticed a black mass flying toward him.
Whoosh!
It engulfed him instantly, turning him to ashes.
After dealing with him, Modret turned to the remaining half humans.
"For this to succeed, the cooperation of everyone is needed. The ten strongest should come forward. We'll head to the upper room to deal with the Heads. Then the remaining will deal with all the Awakened Beasts without alerting anyone."
Communicating with Axel mentally, Modret directed him toward their location in front of the gate.
"He will lead you to eliminate all the Awakened Beasts at the Universe level and below."
Despite sensing that Axel was only a high level Galaxy Realm awakener, the half humans didn't dare underestimate him. After all, they could recall Modret's strength and how he killed Universe Realm experts like slaughtering chickens.
With that, Modret nodded toward Axel then toward the group.
Behind him were ten half humans, each radiating an oppressive might at the peak of the Universe Realm.
The first beast looked like a sheep, but due to his unique ability, none of them dared underestimate his strength.
The second beast looked like a female that had six spider legs, while the third was a man with burly shoulders and a hairy body, along with the head of a cow.
The others were also of varying qualities and Modret could tell that they were strong in their own right.
Nodding toward them, he led them in the direction of the Fairy.
Silently, under the unsuspecting gaze of the Awakened Beasts, Modret and the others approached the Headquarters.
It was a place situated at the top of the pyramid where the Awakened Beasts could watch over everything that was happening.
After walking for a bit, Modret pointed toward a distant location and signaled toward two half humans.
They nodded and rushed toward the location, awaiting Modret's signal.
Modret led the remaining eight and positioned them at different locations, situating four half humans at the location of the strongest Awakened Beasts.
With all this done, Modret signaled toward the half humans.
The next moment, all sorts of devastating attacks resounded into the air.
Within a few minutes, the whole pyramid had been thrown into chaos.
Meanwhile, rather than engaging in a battle with the Awakened Beasts, Modret had at some point left the location of the attack.
