Time kept moving as one by one the tavern's customers came in to relax and talk. One of the tavern's waiters came over and replaced the beer bottle with wine.
The rule for staying at a table was simple. They had to keep ordering. The beer bottle Syifa bought was already empty, and Ethan didn't really like the sweet and bitter taste of beer.
Wine was different. It offered a mix of tastes, from sweet and sour to fruity notes. That was what Ethan liked more.
As the night went on, many customers decided to end their break and return to their guild office. Only a few people were left in the tavern, still eating and drinking.
The tavern door opened. Ethan turned and saw a man walk in. He wore the same uniform as Syifa. He was her party member.
"So she's here," the man said.
The man walked to Ethan's table and saw Syifa lying unconscious, no longer rambling, covered with a blanket. Ethan was lucky she didn't throw up all night.
"Did she drink too much?" the man asked.
Ethan nodded. He explained that Syifa had drunk ten glasses of beer tonight, and she fell asleep right after her tenth sip.
The man sighed and nodded at Ethan's explanation. Not only him, but the rest of their friends also knew how addicted Syifa was to alcohol, even though she knew she couldn't drink much.
But because of that addiction, Syifa ignored her limit. She kept drinking it and enjoyed it happily, no matter how long she could stay standing.
The man lifted Syifa and let her arm rest around his shoulder. Ethan stood up while still holding his half-finished bottle of wine.
"Sorry she caused trouble for you," the man said.
"I already told her about the floor's information. I hope she remembers it before she passes out."
"Thanks, Ethan."
After helping Syifa up, he walked out of the tavern. Ethan followed him until they reached outside.
He glanced at the top-left corner of his dashboard and saw the time. It was midnight. The village was silent, but the city was still quite lively.
People who didn't like the noise of the city at 8 p.m. chose to relax at midnight to avoid the crowds and sound.
Nighttime was also the best moment for them to have fun. Ethan saw it clearly. Some NPCs offered their bodies to satisfy players.
Even if they were NPCs and robots, people who had tried sleeping with them often said NPCs were more "flexible."
Ethan stopped in front of a woman wearing only a bikini. The NPC woman turned and smiled, offering him a form.
He took the form and looked at it. It contained identity details and more. When Ethan held the paper, an information panel appeared in front of him.
[Enjoy a Happy Night!]
[Name: EthanArk]
[Level: 84]
[Gender: Male]
[Request for woman: ]
[Pay?]
Ethan narrowed his eyes. The form filled itself as he held the paper. The part that confused him was [Request for woman:].
"What does [Request for woman] mean?" Ethan asked.
The woman smiled. She showed him the tags in the Request For Woman section. If Ethan chose "milf," then the woman could change into an adult woman's appearance, and the same went for other tags.
There were even more specific tags, like size of certain things, or traits and personality. Ethan looked around. Many players were doing the same thing, standing in front of the NPC woman.
Their faces. They clearly looked perverted.
What confused Ethan was how a feature like this passed the app inspection. Did the administrators bribe the inspectors with money so this feature would pass? It was possible.
At the very least, they created a world that felt real, even though the sense of game and system still remained.
"So? Are you interested?" the NPC woman asked Ethan.
Ethan shook his head. If he paid the prostitute in front of him, he was sure he would fall into a game scam. To him, they were scammers. Sleeping with a robot wasn't enjoyable.
He turned and handed the form to the man waiting in line behind him. The man smiled brightly, happy that his turn was coming.
This isn't worth it. I'm not paying even one gold coin for them.
Ethan walked away from them and returned to his inn to rest. When he arrived, he saw Risa sleeping with half her body covered by a blanket, sleeping soundly.
He had no intention of waking her up. Ethan chose to sleep on the long sofa for the night, not worried at all about getting a stiff neck.
***
The next morning.
Ula City.
Risa ate the breakfast Ethan served her with great appetite. Before they continued their exploration of floor 46, Risa needed breakfast so she wouldn't get tired.
KNOCK!
Right when Ethan and Risa were having breakfast, someone knocked on their door. Ethan stood up, walked to the door, and opened it.
There, he saw Syifa with her three friends. They were already wearing their uniforms, holding weapons according to their class.
"There's no breakfast for you," Ethan said.
"I'm not here for breakfast. I want to explore with you two," Syifa replied.
Risa heard Syifa's words. She quickly finished her meal and walked to Ethan. Syifa smiled and greeted her.
"Risa and I will head north to go up to floor 46. We might help you clear monsters along the way," Ethan said.
"Agreed!" Syifa said.
After Ethan and Risa got ready, the two of them walked with Syifa's party out of Ula City. They didn't get far before a black web spider monster blocked their path.
Syifa looked serious, followed by her three party members. They didn't expect to run into a black web spider so quickly.
She and her party could actually defeat it, but with Ethan there, they could save more energy.
"So? Are you going to attack it?" Ethan asked.
"Wait. I need a plan," Syifa snapped.
Ethan sighed with his arms crossed in front of his chest. He looked to the side, giving Risa permission to help them.
"You can help them, Risa."
"I'll be happy to," Risa said.
The girl stretched her hand forward and created fiery blood spikes that shot at the monster.
The monster created a web shield. Some spikes got stuck in it, but some pierced through and hit its body, making the spider scream in pain.
Syifa followed with a tornado wind spell. The black web spider was pulled into the swirling wind, then thrown far with significant damage.
Ethan narrowed his eyes. The monster began gathering its black webs, then shot ball-shaped webs forward.
He moved fast, appearing in front of Risa and stabbing his sword into the ground, creating a sword wall.
The black web spider's strength couldn't break Ethan's defense. Syifa tried to do the same, but Ethan saw she was exhausted while blocking the attack.
"Are you okay?" Ethan asked.
Syifa nodded. She and her team could attack with the combo they had practiced. Risa wanted to help, but Ethan stopped her.
"Let them finish this fight. Save your strength for later," Ethan said.
"Okay, Ethan."
