The next day.
LionArk Headquarters.
Twin Sun visited in the morning, around nine, when everyone at LionArk's base was working. They met Ethan right away and talked about their temporary assignment.
Ethan unexpectedly received a lot of information from them about the problems they faced when dealing with city security and public order.
They looked helpless when facing someone stronger, because the gap in strength between them was huge.
It made the law unequal. Many times, the Twin Sun security team couldn't do anything against people with high levels, and they were also at risk of getting involved in indirect conflict with other guilds.
When Ethan called them to talk about their temporary assignment, Twin Sun used the chance to explain their lack of ability.
"If LionArk wants to take back the responsibility of the city's security from us, then we would be happy to hand it over to you," Bagas said.
Ethan quietly nodded. He understood the problems they were dealing with and what their limits were.
Clearly, if they tried to take action against someone with a higher individual level, they would struggle.
Ethan's plan was to assign the first and second batch of rookie members to become part of the City Security Authority.
But Ethan also realized that the problems they would face would be the same as Twin Sun's problems.
Ethan was not a man without a plan. He already knew what he would do to solve this.
For the most important part, Ethan would focus on transferring the city guarding duty from Twin Sun to LionArk.
"I already know about their problem, and I also know how to handle them," Ethan replied.
"Thank goodness. I feel relieved hearing that," Bagas said.
Bagas took out the City Security Token and handed it to Ethan. Ethan accepted the token, which floated above his palm with a steady blue system glow.
"Tell your members and the members from other guilds about this. Tomorrow, you will hear news about the new city security team," Ethan explained.
"Yes, I understand, Sir Ethan."
Their conversation ended. Bagas said goodbye and went back to the first floor without Sherly. Sherly was still in Ethan's office, waiting for his next order.
"What exactly happened? Did the Twin Sun security team have trouble when dealing with people?"
"Yes, more or less like that. Hanss was the one who told me," Ethan answered, flipping through the files about the city security team.
"He's Issac, the Guild Master of Heaven Palace, one of the promising rank A guilds," Ethan continued.
"Issac?"
Ethan nodded and took the file about Heaven Palace, reading the profile of the man named Issac. Hanss got it through his spy team.
"Issac, twenty-seven years old, muscular body, height one ninety-one and weight eighty-two, Magic Swordsman class, has three R-rank soul servants, and his individual level is seventy-seven."
"That's terrifying. Not only has he done Class Advancement, he also has three R-grade soul servants and his level is seventy-seven," Sherly said.
"Of course Twin Sun can't do anything to them," Sherly added.
"Yeah. He can be a blocker for the city's security team in enforcing justice and law in the city."
Ethan signed several documents and gathered them into a large folder. He handed the folder to Sherly and told her to go to Hanss.
"I've selected some people who are suitable for the city security team. Tell Hanss to prepare what they need right away."
"I want them to level up at least one or two levels today," Ethan said.
"Use the resources we have to help them level up," Ethan continued.
Sherly took the folder and stored it in her inventory. After receiving her task, she said goodbye. Ethan stood up and stepped outside, confusing Sherly a little.
"I'll go to the city center and meet Issac."
Ethan stored the documents he would bring to Issac, documents related to the crimes he had committed such as theft, assault, and even murder.
"Do I need to go with you?" Sherly asked. Ethan shook his head.
"Hanss needs you. You can help him prepare the items for the new city security members," Ethan replied.
Sherly nodded. She and Ethan walked down the stairs to the lower floor. They separated when Sherly went toward the second-floor corridor and Ethan continued to the first floor.
He walked out of LionArk Headquarters, seeing many LionArk members moving around the compound.
When they passed Ethan, they acted polite, smiling and lowering their heads to greet him.
It was still midday. Ethan clearly saw the busy atmosphere on the city's main street. He walked alone, his eyes focused ahead.
He faintly heard rumors that EthanAsh666 had spread outside LionArk's compound.
People stared at Ethan with curiosity. Some doubted it, some believed it because the one who said it was MagisterDao, one of EthanAsh666's old allies.
"So he's EthanAsh666?"
"How is he still alive? I heard he died."
"Maybe he faked his death so he could become someone else in this game. Maybe he already knew about the Full-Drive VR tragedy."
Ethan let out a slow breath. He listened to all of their chatter. Some were right, others were completely wrong.
But one thing was clear: Ethan never planned anything like faking his own death.
He clearly remembered how painful it was when his face and body crashed into the front of that speeding truck. If they were in Ethan's position, they would also be dead by now.
Ethan had no time to think about that. His focus was reaching Heaven Palace Guild and meeting Issac.
There were some negotiations and agreements that needed to be made between him and them.
His steps stopped in the city center. Heaven Palace Headquarters was located in ring one of the city center. They had already paid the rent and built their guild base grandly in that spot.
One of the gate guards turned and saw that the man standing in front of their guild was EthanArk.
Everyone living in the city knew exactly who Ethan was and what his capability looked like.
"EthanArk? What are you doing here?" one of the guards asked.
"I'm here to meet Issac. Can you help me?"
Both guards looked at each other. They nodded and cleared their throats, knowing exactly what they had to do.
"Wait here. We will speak to Leader Issac about your arrival."
