I Become the Strongest with Infinite Skills Level

Chapter 225: Paladin or Magic Swordsman?

When they arrived at the crystal teleportation cliff, Sherly reached level 62 while Jill reached level 75. Sherly was clearly satisfied. This was her first time leveling up this fast in a single day.

Even so, she realized that Ethan and Ashley didn't get any level-ups at all, even though they had helped.

Sherly assumed their EXP requirements were much higher, so even killing legendary monsters wasn't enough for them.

Their exploration ended for the night. Ethan opened the party panel and brought them back from the Tower to Mavelard.

In an instant, Ethan and his party members vanished from that place. Their bodies scattered into small magical particles drifting toward the sky.

She opened her eyes and saw Ethan already standing at the teleportation crystal in the northern part of the city.

Unlike the morning, there weren't many people gathering around the northern gate teleportation crystal tonight.

Ethan only saw two parties arrive. They were planning to raid the Tower tonight instead of in the morning.

Maybe they were taking advantage of the floor monsters' nighttime aggression to gain more EXP and loot.

Their Tower exploration officially came to an end. Ethan disbanded the party, releasing them from his party responsibilities.

Among all of them, Sherly was the most excited about doing her Class Advancement tomorrow.

"Since you and Sherly have the same class, you're the right person to accompany her," Ashley said.

"Looks like it. We came back too late tonight. I'm sure the cathedral is already closed."

Ethan turned to Sherly. He told her to go back and rest while thinking about what kind of Class Advancement she wanted to take.

Sherly nodded obediently. They entered the city through the northern gate. They walked along the main street, passed through the central district—specifically the entertainment district—until they reached the eastern region of the city where the LionArk headquarters was located.

Ashley could finally breathe in relief when she saw the LionArk headquarters safe and untouched. Nothing had happened while they were away. She turned and smiled at Ethan.

"Maybe… we could do another Tower Raid later," Ashley said.

"We can do it again later. But if we seriously want to raid the Tower, we need to bring LionArk back to rank S first," Ethan replied.

"I'll analyze LionArk's Contribution Points. I'll let you know how many points we still need to rank up."

"Relax, Ethan. It's not easy to reach rank S, but holding rank S is even harder. We can reach it if we work together," Ashley explained.

Ethan nodded with a light cough. He and Ashley parted ways with Sherly and Jill. The two women walked toward the women's dormitory where they stayed.

As for Ethan and Ashley, they went up to the third floor to rest together.

Ashley was clearly worried about Ethan. She remembered the moment Ethan was injured and coughed up blood after blocking the flaming punch of the Flame Golem.

But for some reason he never showed any sign of pain or injury afterward.

"About that wound earlier. Are you really okay?" Ashley asked once they reached their room.

"What wound?"

"The moment you blocked that monster's flaming punch," Ashley answered.

Ethan smiled. He reassured her and explained that he was fine. He had been a little shaken when the monster's flaming punch slammed into the sword barrier, but it only reduced his HP without putting him close to death.

Ashley listened to Ethan's explanation. If he said he was fine, then there was nothing left for her to worry about.

"I'll take a bath first. You should rest for a bit, Ethan."

"Sure."

The next day.

LionArk Headquarters.

That morning, Sherly arrived earlier than Ethan expected. She had been waiting for him on the sofa inside his office, already dressed in her LionArk uniform.

Sherly couldn't wait to do her Class Advancement and choose her next class, especially since Ethan would help her. Her excitement only grew stronger.

From the bedroom, Ethan stepped into his office and met Sherly. The exhaustion from the previous night had vanished, replaced by a sense of energy in his chest. He was also fully dressed in his LionArk uniform and cloak.

Sherly stood from the sofa, bowed her head, and saluted Ethan.

"Looks like you're more than ready for your Class Advancement."

"Yes, Sir Ethan. I can't wait," Sherly said.

Ethan walked from the door toward the sofa. He asked Sherly about the most basic thing she needed to understand before doing her Class Advancement.

It was choosing what next class she wanted. Even so, the next class would only work well if supported by the right attributes.

For example, if Sherly prioritized STR and CONS, she could take Paladin or Guardian. If she prioritized STR alone, she could take Knight Templar. If she prioritized STR and INT, she could take Magic Swordsman. And if she prioritized STR and AGI, she could choose Rapier.

There were many options she could take, but Ethan would absolutely forbid her from choosing Omniblade like him.

Not only was it extremely difficult, but the requirements to activate it were harsh.

"Did you allocate your attribute points last night?" Ethan asked.

Sherly shook her head. She explained that last night she had read many books about Class Advancement. She also asked Hanss about it.

Both the books and Hanss said the same thing: Class Advancement aligned with your strongest attributes.

So Sherly didn't dare allocate any points randomly, because if she placed them incorrectly, she might end up with a bad or unsuitable next class.

"All right. Let me see."

Sherly nodded. She opened her attribute panel and showed it to Ethan. Ethan stood in front of the sofa table, rubbing his chin and narrowing his eyes as he examined Sherly's attribute points.

From what Ethan saw, Sherly had increased three attributes the most: STR, INT, and CONS. That explained why her movements weren't as fast as Ethan initially expected.

"With those three strong attributes, you can take Magic Swordsman or Paladin," Ethan said.

"Which one is better?" Sherly asked.

Ethan paused for a moment, looking at Sherly's body and face. For some reason she looked too slim for a Paladin, even though her high CONS showed she had stamina and endurance.

From their previous battle, Ethan had read Sherly's attack patterns. She was good at positioning and attacking from a mid-range distance, especially using Crimson Slash.

When it came to defense, Ethan didn't see much from her yesterday. Her attacks were much more developed than her defensive capabilities.

"A Paladin requires you to become the tank of a party."

"A Magic Swordsman requires you to attack using sword magic."

"Tell me… which type of next class do you want?" Ethan asked.

Sherly fell silent for a moment. The reason she increased her CONS was because people told her high constitution meant she wouldn't die easily.

But in their last battle, she felt CONS didn't help her much. She also wasn't used to fighting at close range like Ethan.

"I don't know. I'm confused about it, Sir Ethan."

Ethan nodded. If Sherly still couldn't be sure, then the only way to help her decide was through a short training match.

That way, Sherly would know which next class suited her better.

"All right. We'll have a sparring match this morning to decide whether your next class should be Paladin or Magic Swordsman."

"A sparring match?" Sherly gasped.

"Yes."

"You'll fight me, Sherly."
