Hearing those words alone was enough to make Arthur furious. In his eyes, Ethan's statement had crossed a clear line.
He never should have said something like that, especially now, when he was standing in another city, not Mavelard itself. Arthur's expression hardened as his thoughts churned.
Those who threaten my city must deal with me and Redemption Sword.
Arthur felt no fear at all. Facing Ethan alone did not intimidate him in the slightest, especially when he was confident that he could match the man head-on if it came down to it.
"Take back what you said," Arthur warned coldly.
"Put your sword away."
Ashley hurriedly left her seat, her footsteps quick as she crossed the hall's carpet with panic written all over her face.
She knew Ethan was trying to persuade Arthur to return, and she also knew that Arthur was not someone who could be belittled or provoked lightly.
If things spiraled further, the consequences would be disastrous.
"Please, let's resolve this slowly," Ashley said, her voice strained.
"There's no need for a fight here."
Ethan turned his gaze toward Ashley. She fixed her eyes on him, silently pleading for him not to push things any further.
Seeing the worry etched across her face, Ethan finally relented. With a quiet exhale, he sheathed his sword and deactivated his Ashura Mode.
"At this moment, Mavelard is being attacked by Silver Star in large numbers," Ashley continued, steadying herself.
"You're the leader of this event. You can't just let countless people die in that invasion."
She paused, then added in a firmer tone, "On top of that, Silver Star is indirectly using your event to weaken Mavelard."
"LionArk arrived here first. We respect you and Redemption Sword," Ashley said honestly.
"But if someone threatens our city, we have to prioritize the people who are there."
Arthur shot a sharp glance to the side, his eyes locking onto Nicholas, who had clearly acted far beyond what was reasonable.
Attacking a city while its leader was absent was nothing short of foolish.
"Out of respect for LionArk, for your dedication in arriving first, and also for you, Ethan," Arthur said slowly, "as both a friend and a fierce rival, I'll allow you to return."
Relief was visible on Ashley and Ethan's faces. Ashley turned slightly and nodded in gratitude.
Ethan took out a portable teleportation device and activated it. However, something unexpected happened, causing his eyes to narrow sharply.
[Error!]
[Magical field detected. Teleportation transmission blocked.]
"HAHA!" Nicholas burst into loud laughter, his voice echoing sharply through the hall.
"Did you really think I was stupid?" Nicholas mocked.
"I already restricted teleportation. I destroyed your teleportation crystals and used magic to block portable teleport transmissions."
He sneered as he continued, "The distance from Asgard City to Mavelard City takes one full month by land. I'm afraid your city will be destroyed long before you ever arrive."
Ashley's anger flared instantly. Powerful magical energy surged from her body, rippling through the air. Ethan had already anticipated this outcome. They were never going to let things proceed easily.
Ethan raised a hand and gently patted Ashley's shoulder, signaling her to calm down. If they could not go to Mavelard directly, then he would simply force Silver Star to withdraw their troops.
"It's fine," Ethan said calmly.
"We'll go by land."
He offered a brief farewell and apologized to Arthur for disrupting the event. Nicholas continued laughing loudly, clearly enjoying the sight of panic on Ashley and Ethan's faces.
Xeno, the guild leader of Scavenger, remained silent. Arthur turned his gaze back to Nicholas and addressed him openly in front of all the guild representatives present.
"You're opening a much deeper chapter of hostility with LionArk," Arthur said.
"Aren't you afraid?"
"They're only a rank A guild," Nicholas scoffed.
"What's there to be afraid of?"
Arthur let out a long breath, then extended his hand, signaling for the event to continue.
Dancers resumed their performance while guild representatives returned to their meals, though the atmosphere had clearly shifted.
Elsewhere, Ethan and Ashley ran out of the Redemption Sword palace.
Ashley was keenly aware of the vast distance between Asgard City in the Central Plains and Mavelard City in the Eastern Plains.
"We won't make it to Mavelard in time," Ashley said anxiously.
Ethan smiled faintly and turned his head to look at her as they ran. "I've already spoken with Sherly. All the city guilds have united to help hold back Silver Star's invasion."
"They can hold out for three days," Ethan added.
"But we can't get there in three days," Ashley replied.
"Who said we're going to Mavelard?" Ethan asked.
"Then where?" Ashley questioned, confused.
"Silver Town."
Ashley gasped, still running beside him. Ethan's expression was firm and serious. It was obvious he was not joking.
"Silver Town?" she repeated.
"I'll force them to withdraw their troops," Ethan said coldly.
"It'll only take me one day to destroy their city."
Ashley's face lit up with excitement. She nodded in agreement with Ethan's plan. This would be the first time the two of them carried out an invasion on another city together.
Until now, she had never truly known how Ethan fought Silver Star in Mavelard City. This time, she would witness his power firsthand as he laid waste to Silver Town.
Upon reaching the eastern gate, they used the teleportation crystal located there. After paying ten thousand gold, Ethan and Ashley were transported from Asgard City to Silver Town.
When they opened their eyes, the gates of Silver Town stood before them. Judging from the architecture and the height of the walls, Ethan estimated that the city's level was roughly on par with Mavelard's, clearly inferior to Asgard.
"Are you ready, Ashley?" Ethan asked.
Ashley fell silent for a moment, gripping her staff tightly. She turned toward him and nodded, fully prepared both physically and mentally.
Ethan smiled. He extended his hand forward, summoning the Bloodblade Ashura and gripping it firmly.
Many people gasped in shock. The guards, who were guild members themselves, turned around in disbelief.
They were stunned to see EthanArk and AshleyLeon123 standing right in front of their city gate.
Ethan tightened his grip on his sword and swung it sideways. A crimson slashing attack flew forward, striking the city gate and destroying it in a single blow.
Warning sirens blared throughout the city, instantly putting everyone on high alert. Ashley took action immediately.
She formed a massive magical rune in the sky, summoning an attack of thousands of light swords.
The countless blades of light rained down toward the city. However, an explosion erupted as a massive protective dome enveloped the entire city.
Ashley clicked her tongue in frustration. She recognized that protective barrier. It was a combined magical formation maintained by the city's mages.
"Damn it. I can't break the barrier," Ashley said through clenched teeth.
"Let me handle it," Ethan replied.
"Seraphelis!"

The soul servant Seraphelis appeared before Ethan, her form transforming from a small chibi figure into a full-grown woman. A golden sword gleamed in her hand.
"You want me to destroy another city, Ethan?" Seraphelis asked calmly.
"A soul servant… can talk?" Ashley muttered in shock. Seraphelis shot her a sharp glance.
"Yes," Ethan said. "Go to the sky and deal with that protective magic dome."
"I understand," Seraphelis replied.
She flew high above the city, drawing the attention of countless people below. Seraphelis hurled her golden sword into the sky, causing thunderclouds to gather and lightning to roar across the heavens.
With overwhelming power, she summoned a colossal golden sword that descended from the sky.
Panic spread everywhere. Faces turned pale as fear shattered the defenders' resolve. Ashley stared wide-eyed at the attack, stunned.
Where did Ethan find a soul servant this powerful? she wondered.
Seraphelis drove her blade straight into the city's protective dome. The barrier failed instantly, shattering and releasing violent gusts of wind in all directions.
Ashley moved without hesitation. She summoned another golden rune and unleashed thousands of swords into Silver Town.
Elsewhere, Seraphelis invoked the light of heavenly judgment, incinerating parts of the city, collapsing buildings, and killing countless people.
"Lyodra! Neryss! Hissy!"

Lyodra and Neryss appeared in front of Ethan. He clearly ordered them to guard Ashley, while Hissy was commanded to stay close and protect her as well.
"What are you doing?" Ashley asked.
"I'm going into the city," Ethan said firmly. "I'm going to kill them all."
Ethan rushed forward, attacking anyone who approached. He unleashed every skill at his disposal, from Crimson Slash to Bloodflare Cataclysm.
Countless residents of Silver Town died, whether they were members of other guilds or Silver Star itself.
Elsewhere, Seraphelis continued carrying out her task. She destroyed three of the city's gates, deliberately leaving the southern gate intact in accordance with Ethan's orders.
Screams of pain and suffering echoed throughout the city. Chaos showed no sign of stopping. Fires soared into the sky, and thick black smoke covered the heavens above Silver Town.
Ethan continued his relentless assault, inflicting devastation far greater than Silver Star's invasion of Mavelard.
Back in Asgard City, Nicholas's aide ran at full speed from the Silver Star guest residence toward the guild hall, where the initial banquet was still underway.
He forced the doors open, abruptly halting the event as all eyes turned toward him. Nicholas narrowed his eyes immediately.
"What is it, Aiden?" Nicholas demanded.
"Silver Town," Aiden stammered.
"Silver Town is under attack by Ethan and Ashley!"
"What?!" Nicholas shouted in shock.
"How many casualties?" he asked frantically.
"Approximately thirty to forty thousand lives," Aiden answered.
Everyone in the hall was stunned. Eyes widened in disbelief. Nicholas turned pale, his hands trembling as his heart pounded violently in his chest.
Arthur smiled faintly and looked toward Nicholas with narrowed eyes.
"There's only one choice left," Arthur said.
"What?" Nicholas snapped.
"Stop your invasion of Mavelard," Arthur replied calmly.
"Negotiate with Ethan."
"If you remain stubborn," Arthur continued, his voice cold, "Guild Silver Star will be destroyed."
