SSS Cosmic Policing System: Overpowered Cop's Odyssey

Chapter 119: New Captains

The negotiation was quickly rounded up, and the Lords departed content.

As for the branch seeding, the date had been finalized, and Roy would only be passing the blueprints to them after this.

The Lords also exchanged information with him, which he was in serious need of, since he was far behind by two months.

For example, they gave him information about special places in Arcana, ones that would help build strength. It turned out dungeons weren't the only special features of Arcana.

They told him about treasure grounds — places where monsters killed there had a guaranteed item drop rate.

There were stat farms — places where killing monsters wouldn't bring drops but would instead increase stats.

Then there were other special places where unique beasts were located, beasts whose cores could allow Lords to level up regardless of being boss monsters or not.

Roy felt excited. There was more in this plane to explore than he had assumed.

After digesting all this, Roy decided to meet with his captains — these were the ones who had taken care of him throughout the past two months.

Trion had finished healing the four who were heavily injured, and they were quickly summoned.

Eleven captains sat before him. Roy was intrigued by the new faces.

Richard was quick to introduce.

"Master, during your coma I took it upon myself to expand our forces… So I recruited capable hunters, and the peak members were given ranks of Captain.

This is Fredrick, one of the captains in charge of offense. As you can see, he is quite the giant."

Roy glanced at the man who seemed almost too tall to be true, then inspected his details.

`

`

"Oh? Not bad." Roy concluded. The guy had a mutated stat, a comprehension, and at least an SS-grade skill.

Roy moved to the other, introduced as Lionel.

Roy was surprised. A subordinate who could use all of his skills depending on how tight the bond between them was. That was quite handy — worthy of a Captain indeed.

Fitting as a Captain in charge of information. Not only that, she had a precognition ability.

And finally, the last of the four…

"I see, an assassin huh?" Roy thought.

In truth, these guys weren't as impressive as his first batch of recruits, but that was a given — it wasn't easy to find hunters of that caliber easily.

After getting to know the new captains, Richard proceeded to fill Roy in on everything he needed to know.

The achievements made during his two-month coma, and all.

It turned out that after the calamity, the merit earned during the battle came in handy.

They gained quite a lot of benefits after the upgrade. Right now the land was blessed with many resources.

Different special metal mines had been found, special elixir plants grew, and most importantly, portal dungeons appeared.

The portal dungeons were one of the crucial factors that helped them advance despite being isolated from the rest of the plane.

There were two dungeons of level 40, five of level 50, and four of level 60.

Having these dungeons literally meant unlimited resources, since unlike other dungeons, portal dungeons could be cleared multiple times.

"I see… We have enough resources, the territory has been fully developed, so now all that is left is to focus on the outside." Roy concluded after hearing all the reports.

Right now his territory had been developed enough. He had quite enough subordinates already.

Except for the fact that his level itself was quite low, the rest had quite high levels.

"Come to think of it, I have another territory. We also have to develop Wolf Peak, then after that we begin to focus on our policing duties." Roy thought.

After all, with the way things were now, he wouldn't be getting prisoners by being passive.

He needed to scout for Lords committing all sorts of atrocities. That way he would gain unimaginable rewards.

He picked five captains — Layla, Dio, Alpha, Jake, and Rachel.

They were to go and focus on developing Wolf Peak, his other territory.

While the rest continued managing this territory…

As for him, not only did he need to level up quickly, he needed to strategize how to plant more police outposts.

Recalling something, Richard spoke.

"Lest I forget, we captured a few trespassing Lords earlier today."

Roy's eyes glinted.

"Like how many are we talking?"

"Twenty-one." Layla was the one to reply, as she was one of the captains to put them under arrest.

This was good news. With that many Lords as prisoners, he didn't need to worry about the branch outposts.

All he needed to do was set the bail — as an agreement for them to let him plant branch outposts in their territory if they wanted release.

After dismissing the captains, Roy went ahead to do just that…

The cells had changed after the upgrade. There were many more cells, and they were located on the first floor.

Indeed, as they informed, there were exactly twenty-one individuals behind bars.

The twenty-one Lords stared at Roy warily as he stepped in.

After getting trashed by a pair of hunters, they deduced that whoever was the Lord of this territory would be countless times more terrifying.

So naturally, they hardly resisted when Roy gave the requirements for their release.

"Good, now that that's done, let's see what you can do…" Roy thought as he glanced at a particular reward he had just acquired.
