SSS Cosmic Policing System: Overpowered Cop's Odyssey

Chapter 120: Something's wrong with the system

This special reward the Outerworld shopping coupon intrigued him.

He didn't need to ask for details from the system to have a vague understanding of what it was for.

This was practically a chance for him, to have a glimpse of the vast reality outside the protective bubble of arcana.

A chance for him to know what he was dealing with, after all once his mission to spreading his reach across the entirety of arcana his next goal was those outside.

He held back on making any rough decisions and using it immediately he needed more detail, that he could get once he arrived at his destination.

He was moving across, brightly lit hallways making his way to his office, behind him marching was his own pair of escorts, Richard said he had saved for him.

Ava and Eva, a pair of orphan twins whose capabilities rivaled Captains or was even even beyond some.

He hand picked these prodigies specifically because of their superb talent, Eva the sister was basically an unparalleled healer one that rivaled even Trion the legendary hero summon, and for the other Ava the younger brother was a combat genius, whose efficiency in battle in certain situations could match the strongest Captain Ashley.

Roy had arrived before the door to his very own master office, the doors inlaid with pulsing runes and intricate energy veins these features weren't just for looks only, They were defense mechanism there for prohibiting entry from any other personnel apart from the Lord.

The two escorts took their stances standing at both sides of the door, as Roy rested his arm on the knob.

Detecting the unique ether belonging only to the lord, the runes let out a bright pulse then died out just right after, the door silently opening in tandem.

Glancing at his own exclusive office, it was every bit the way one would imagine, a spaced office tiled with glistening marbled, fresh waves of pure soothing ether pulsing with the cool air from the air conditioner.

Roy smiled filled with content as he moved to his now changed master throne.

He sat as a soothing connection was instantly established, his senses overreaching the entirety of his territory.

Instantly the desk before him came to life, as system projections filled his vision, panels which served as a conduit for him to control his territory.

Things had indeed changed for the better, from a humble piddling outpost to his own metropolis.

Sifting through the panels he decided to acquaint himself with his faction reaerves and wealth.

And what his eyes met made them pop in shock.

"Hissss... Ashley.... Is really a jackpot."

Glancing at the nine figure numbers displaying his gold amounts, "with this we don't need to get any loans from Jared."

He swiped the panel oyt of sight, reaching for the detailed inspection panel.

He sat up in expectation, ready to learn more about the coupon.

But his expression instantly turned ugly, as he saw the reply hovering in his vision.

[Error! Error! Out of Jurisdiction!]

What the hell?

Out of Jurisdiction?

It was the one who rewarded me, and it doesn't know?

Roy's gaze turned hesitant, something wasn't right, if the system was helping to protect him from disastrous information that could take his life from glimpse it would have fitted it with question marks.

He brooded for a minute the requested.

"System what does this mean?"

He directly inquired waiting for a reply, but seconds passed and nothing.

Roy's gaze went grim, something really wasn't right here, the system silent? That wasn't normal!

If it couldn't reply it would have giving him a warning, why was his system silent?

He pressed for detailed inspections for other items and subordinates, and they all came with the same disappointing reply.

His heart raced, none of the Lords spoke of a phenomenon like this... Or was it because he had upgraded his territory and the system wasn't needed anymore.

He reached for his consciousness, and was relived to find out that his attribute stars intact.

He still retained his prowess, even the system was offline, this sated the burning fear he had in mind, of whether the system hold full control of his abilities and if it vanished they vanished too.

Calming his heart his mind thrummed as he directly summoned Dio.

"Boss!" Dio quickly know towed, his gaze fervent with excitement.

Ray wasn't in the right mood for light conversations so he went straight to the point his voice brimming with a type of compelling command one Dio only ever felt when he was still a reluctant prisoner.

"Can you access your system?"

Dio's brow furrowed in confusion feeling it was quite a weird question, but none the less by bond he was compelled to reply.

"Yes my system is fully functional, it just alerted me for your summon."

Roy's expression went darker, it seemes the problem was a personal issue.

"You can leave."

Roy comanded with the wave of his hand as Dio vanished from the room still quite puzzled.

"Could there be something bordering Boss?! He never acts like that to us." Dio thought for moment.

Before hurrying off to go alert, the the rest of the captains.

Meanwhile back in Roy's office, he was in a silent brood, without the system no quest, infact even his Gatcha function wouldn't be accessible.

His unclaimed rewards also gone, apart from being able to level up and get stronger his other perks would be inaccessible.

This was a serious flaw, not only would he be left behind from the other Lords advancement, he would lose the grace of his allies.

He wasn't a fool, he could realize that those guys only readily accepted him because of his ability to keep the supply of highly advance tech blueprints coming.

He scratched his head, his dismay palpable.

"Why am I so unlucky I only just awakened from a two month long coma."

He banged on his desk violently filled with frustration.

After violently cursing and hammering his table for a moment to distress his mind.

Then after venting he went into a silent brood, his thought process now focusing on what could be the source of this problem.

Could it be a cirse effect from one of those trespassing bastards?

Even though he found it hard to believe he couldn't dismiss this possibility, tapping restlessly on the table he thought of another possibility.

Could she have stolen his system?! Now his heart dropped.

He couldn't exclude this possibility from the asernals of skills he saw he pull, he was convinced that the probability that this was her working was high.

"All for a stupid past! It's not like any of us was at fault, you could have just let it go!" Jhe raged silently.

Just as he was generating more possibilities, something strange happened.

A translucent bar flickered in his line of sight.

[Outerworld shopping coupon...]

Receive?: Y/N]

What? He hadn't claimed this reward...

Then it dawned to him, the only accessible function was clearly this coupon and it was only when this reward apeared the system went silent.

Come to think of it there were no alerts, when he defeated those lords and when they left.

Because of the state he was in after battle, he really didn't have time to think of it.

Not even when he bargaining with the lords...

His eyes squinted as he stared at the flickering tab hovering in his sight ominously.

Now he was torn between the two decisions, accept? Or don't!

This whole situation smelled fishy as though, someone higher was at play.

He stared at the ceiling not with his own eyesight but with the terrority bird eye view.

He stared at the silent dome in the far reaches of the clouds.

His instincts prickled with ominous aversion, whoever or whatever was at play wanted him to accept.

Not wanted was forcing him to accept, he either clicked yes or lose his access to his system forever.

Myriad of thought streamed through his mind, hesitation clearly dominant, now that he knew something was wrong with this shit he obviously wouldn't be willing to plunge straight through a ready made obvious trap.

His heart drummed widely as he stared at the yab once more, his teeth grinded and his heart raced.

He didn't have a choice now did he?

His finger reached painfully slow, as he tapped the yes tab.

Void thrummed as his figure flashed out of sight.

That same instant a blood red screen appeared.

[Warning! Bearer of justice is heading out of Jurisdiction!

Result of this is mostly play to: definite death 98.67%!]

Roy saw the notification his heart wavered and he cursed!

"FUCCCCCCKKKK!"

The teleportation never halted as his figure vanished out of sight.

At that instant loud knocks could be heard from the doors, his captains had heard the new and we're seriously worried.

...out in the far reaches of space millions of light years away from arcana, a highly sophisticated spaceship stood in the dark vacuum of space.

A line of transparent conic sheil lined the forefront and a shadowy figure could be discerned as he stood.

His lips obscured but it's movements seen as it let out a hair rasing whisper.

"They took the bait! You can only blame your luck for being the tallest tree."

With that said his figure silently disapitated.
