Nexus Ascension: My Comprehension Defies the Heaven

Chapter 149: Reunion (3)

However, seeing this, Grey did not react. Instead, he turned to Little Hong and Werner.

"Can you both keep them company?" Grey asked as he slightly glanced downward.

He saw a rather interesting combination of people down below, and he had to check it out.

"What is a company?" Little Hong asked, tilting her head as she hovered beside him in the sky.

Hearing this, Grey smiled, then pointed at the two enemies charging at them. "In your case," he said, keeping his voice patient, "it means go there and bother them a little."

Little Hong blinked. "Bother them?"

"Mm. Like when you poke someone again and again until they cannot do anything else but deal with you." Grey smiled faintly. "Do that to those two. Do not let them focus on anything else."

"Oh!" Her eyes lit up. "So I just have to annoy them?"

"Exactly." He nodded. "Annoy them very, very well and do not let them escape either."

"Un." Little Hong nodded seriously. "I will do that!"

"Good!" Grey's expression brightened.

Little Hong was extremely easy to manage, she was an obedient child.

How many parents across the world dreamt of someone like Little Hong?

As long as he did not disown her, she would listen to him.

By the time they spoke to each other, Varyn and Orin had already arrived.

It was not that they were slow, but Grey was speaking extremely fast, and his daughter and disciple being at late stage, it was no surprise they were able to talk just as fast.

Then, Grey slipped away. He let Werner and Little Hong keep the two engaged for now.

He slowly descended to the ground amidst the shocked gazes of the people in the mansion.

As soon as he closed in, he took notice of the Infernal that was fighting the High Order members.

[Your comprehension defies the heaven! By observing a being from hell you have gained insight into 'Law of hellfire']

"What? Hell?" Grey was surprised.

Who could be the one who summoned these things here?

Grey glanced around as he descended and as soon as he did, he turned to the Immortal Lady and spoke. "Long time no see, Senior."

"Are you the one who summoned these creatures from hell? Can you open me a portal? I would very much like to visit."

Hearing this, the Immortal Lady shook her head and pointed at Lia. "It was her. You think I am able to summon a portal to hell?"

The immortal lady herself was surprised, she had heard of the existence of hell before, however, how one entered hell is still unknown to her.

"True," Grey replied. "Still, to think you would show yourself to the public, that is surprising."

"It had to be done, or else everyone here would have been dead," the Immortal Lady said gently.

Grey nodded and then turned to Lia.

And as soon as he did, he was stunned.

"Huh?"

[Your comprehension defies the heaven! By observing a god being you have gained insight into the 'law of hongmeng']

[Your comprehension defies the heaven! By observing a god you have gained insight into the endless potential physique (awakened)]

"God?" Grey blurted out.

Lia, hearing this, was dumbfounded.

"???"

On the other hand, everyone else in the vicinity was confused.

They did not seem to know what he was talking about.

Lia wanted to speak, but no words came from her mouth. For a moment, she did not know what to say anymore.

She was surprised by him calling her a god directly to her face, but she realized that it was very normal.

She knew that he knew about her having her endless potential body.

It was something no one knew, not even her birth father.

Yet Grey knew. He was definitely someone she could not understand properly.

However, that was not her concern right now.

What concerned her was something far more nerve-wracking.

What should she say?

They met after two whole months!

And now the person she had been looking for was right in front of her, looking completely different, with a more handsome face, mysterious eyes, and being far more powerful.

Words did not flow from her mouth. Yet, she wanted to express herself to him, her savior, the only one who came to rescue her.

"Looks like you awakened it." Grey slowly walked up to her as he observed her more closely.

"You... Grey..." Lia panicked the moment she saw him coming closer, a feeling she could not explain tightening inside her chest.

That was when a voice resonated into her head. "Seems like your endless potential is related to your status as a god."

Hearing this, Lia swiftly collected herself and replied back in her head. "Yes..."

Following that, she fell silent again.

She turned awkward, her thoughts scattering. No words came to her head anymore.

'Why are you like this, Lia?' she asked herself, frustrated yet helpless.

She thought she had changed for better, yet when facing Grey, she acted nothing like she did with others.

For a moment, Lia genuinely wanted to find a hole and bury herself inside it.

"Still, to think a god."

Lia was a literal god!

He didn't know what this signified but a god is definitely not something simple.

She turned out to be a walking gold mine. He thought she was a walking cheat before, now she was a world-breaking cheat.

Grey glanced at the Infernal and then back at Lia.

"All of them are at the 6th stage of 2nd rank. Is there any requirement to summoning them?"

"Yes." Lia nodded. "I can only summon five of them at the moment, and the strength of the summons depends on my own power."

"Oh." Grey nodded. "Why is it limited to five? Does it increase with your rank?"

He was extremely interested in this technique now. If possible, he would comprehend it from Lia.

"I can keep summoning as long as I have enough energy. However, five is my limit. This new energy, I cannot control it. Whenever I use it, it goes out of control and goes haywire."

"Oh?" Grey was surprised. "That can be fixed."

"It can?"

"Of course." Grey nodded with a laugh. "Who do you think I am?"

"And if that is fixed and you have enough energy, you can summon more of them, right?"

"Yes." Lia nodded.

"Perfect."

Grey held his arms out. "Come, hold onto my hands."

"Huh?" Lia stiffened, caught completely off guard. A faint warmth rose to her cheeks before she even noticed it happening.

Yet she still obeyed him and took his hand. Her fingers brushed his lightly at first, almost hesitant, before she steadied herself and held on properly.
