"Send the synthetics to attack." A voice rang out nearby, but it was unclear who said it.

Soon, a group of fully armed warriors appeared in Su Ziyu's sight, completely disregarding the minefield, charging directly into it despite the danger. After consecutive explosions, a safe zone emerged within the advancing line, and then the exoskeleton power armor squad began to push forward, closely followed by the sound of air-to-ground missile launches.

"Looks like I need to exert more effort!" Su Ziyu vanished instantly from where he stood.

The strong assault hit a snag.

The opposition also had organized exoskeleton power armor troops, and those super mutants were fearless, with the Brotherhood attacking twice but failing to take down the front lines.

Su Ziyu went directly into invisibility, flying low and stealthily around the side to the rear of the battlefield, then quietly approached the super mutants' positions.

He certainly wasn't planning to rush in alone for a rampage.

While Su Ziyu roamed the battlefield collecting Source Power Values, a loud explosion sounded not far away, and a team of elite soldiers rushed into the research facility.

Nearly twenty Source Power Values were gained; many of these super mutants were contaminate.

After collecting the Source Power Values, Su Ziyu also quickly headed to the research facility's location, where there were corpses everywhere and gunfire occasionally echoed from around, indicating there were still enemies resisting stubbornly. The main force hadn't fully entered the research facility, seemingly worried about possible traps inside. The periphery was mostly super mutant corpses, but closer to the facility, Su Ziyu saw some normal human corpses and others who had undergone some level of mechanical modification.

These were all from the Genetics Faction.

The people from the Genetics Faction only researched mechanical transformation. They would retrofit super mutants with mechanical limbs. Before the Academy's civil war, both sides dabbled in each other's research, but the people from the Genetics Faction didn't emphasize humanoid bionic transformation.

Space Beacon.

After marking the third space beacon, Su Ziyu entered the research facility.

On the surrounding walls were patches of dried blood stains, and on the ground, uncollected bodies lay scattered. Ahead, the corridor was empty and eerily quiet, possibly due to signal issues, and the first wave that entered seemed to have lost contact.

Something seemed off.

Su Ziyu saw a corpse in a white lab coat, with a conspicuously large hole in the chest. It wasn't damage caused by firearms; after examining this shocking wound that pierced through the chest and back, he deduced it was likely caused by some non-human creature.

"Could it be that the Genetics Faction conducted some sort of mutant experiments here?" Su Ziyu murmured.

Soon.

His vision caught sight of another torn-apart corpse, while dense gunfire erupted from the right side.

The monster likely escaped!

On the ground, many blood stains had nearly solidified, meaning those terrifying monsters might have escaped even before they stormed the research facility.

Boom!

A muffled explosion echoed.

Su Ziyu saw a soldier wearing exoskeleton power armor retreating at the corner ahead, followed by a sinister dark red sharp tentacle piercing his body, even penetrating the steel armor and then swiftly retracting, disappearing from sight.

"Alert! Alert!"

"Contaminant detected!…Unknown spiritual wave detected!…"

Drip drip.

Slight sounds from the corridor walls hinted at some indiscernible presence. Relying solely on sound, it was impossible to identify what it was.

Thud.

A heavy fall echoed as the soldier in exoskeleton power armor fell, copious amounts of blood gushing out.

Should I pursue?

Su Ziyu hesitated momentarily, then placed his finger against his ear, saying, "Attention!"

"Unknown mutant monster invaded the research facility! Extremely dangerous!"

"We need support!"

Static.

Disrupted electrical noises played; seemingly these communication devices in the research facility were entirely out of use.

What now?

Su Ziyu didn't hesitate too long, turned around, and retraced his steps back. Soon he spotted Leon in exoskeleton power armor at the intersection and shouted loudly, "Be careful!"

"There's a super powerful mutant in this research facility!"

"Extremely dangerous!"

Fifteen soldiers from the first wave entered the facility, three whole squads, all uniformly equipped with exoskeleton power armor, and were silently eradicated by the enemy.

It's likely a big monster inside!
