Wizard: I Have a Game Panel

Chapter 203: "Get Back!

After Lor finished his speech, some more chairmen and legislators took the stage, discussing their own factions' understanding of runes, benefiting the wizards who were attentive to the lecture greatly.

Once the speeches were concluded, the awards ceremony began.

A group of wizards who contributed variously to the Wizard Alliance took turns to go on stage. Under the watchful eyes of all the wizards across the continent, they were presented with three types of medals by legislators from various factions, and even chairmen.

This kind of honor made some wizards lose control of their emotions; some cried, others laughed, displaying a wide range of feelings.

"With these three awards, I guess the young ones will be more motivated in the future," Francis said with a smile.

"Indeed." Lor nodded, then offered his suggestion: "But just honors and magic crystal rewards are slightly thin. Later, some privileges could be granted as appropriate."

"This matter can be discussed further at the next Grand Council meeting."

Francis casually glossed over this trivial topic, then suddenly conveyed a message to Lor: "I always feel that you didn't finish saying what you intended on stage earlier, it seems there's a deeper strategy involved."

"Can you tell me what you aim to change this time?"

He always felt like Lor was brewing another big move, but couldn't quite grasp what exactly it was.

Francis wasn't referring to the matter of the Silver Wolf.

That's indeed not suitable for discussion now, and the chairmen already know about it.

"Sure, you can help me consider whether this proposal is feasible." Lor responded in kind: "I plan to propose the abolition of the Contribution Points system, as for the reason..."

He shared all his thoughts with Francis, given his evident superior control over the Alliance.

Having this advisor assess the situation first was a good choice.

"It's quite difficult to abolish the Contribution Points system now."

After hearing Lor's explanation, Francis remained silent for a long time before responding again: "At least until the Five-Ring Energy Furnace is developed or you officially open the way to other planes, it would be possible to implement."

"Moreover, by then it's likely that the current status based on rank will change, many newly advanced Fourth and Fifth Ring wizards might not get legislator and chairman positions."

If possible, he'd also like to abolish the Contribution Points system, allowing Third and Fourth Ring wizards to freely advance.

Enemies are almost at the doorstep, so what's the point of limiting it?

However, from a practical point of view, more legislators and chairmen mean consuming more Witchcraft Positions.

Even if they were previously involved in learning legacies, once they reach the Fourth Ring, they'd essentially create their own new things to avoid being controlled by others.

If their needs aren't met, it could lead to chaos.

Yet, if later ones are satisfied, what should these true pioneers do?

There are only so many Witchcraft Positions; the more you take, the less there is for me.

Only when players descend can it be more ample, though the time of players' arrival is fleeting.

To solve this problem, there are only the two methods he mentioned.

And even after it's resolved, there still need to be restrictions on legislator and chairman positions, otherwise their power could quickly dilute, leading to even worse issues.

"Five-Ring Energy Furnace?"

Lor looked at Francis with confusion, conveying: "As long as there is a Fourth-Ring Energy Furnace, it can change the Abyss environment."

"Didn't Ernie make some breakthroughs on the Large Energy Furnace recently? Considering the time, it's been fifty years now. How far has the Large Energy Furnace project proceeded?"

"I'm just waiting for him to officially research the Fourth-Ring Energy Furnace, then propose to first lift some Contribution Point restrictions."

Complete abolition of Contribution Point restrictions must wait until he can open the Plane Passage.

However, lifting the restriction on Third-Ring wizards advancing to Fourth Ring only requires the appearance of the Fourth-Ring Energy Furnace.

With seventy-two... no, seventy-one layers, the Abyss is much larger than the eleven continents of the Wizard World.

As for the seventy-second layer, the Blood Sea Abyss, it's indeed not suitable for mortal habitation.

"What?" Francis asked surprised: "A Fourth-Ring Energy Furnace shouldn't be able to support the sun covering the Abyss Continent, right?"

"Indeed it cannot support a sun enveloping the entire Abyss Continent, but it's enough to purify the Abyssal Energy," Lor explained: "In the vague future I've seen, even when they have researched the Sixth-Ring Energy Furnace, the sun hanging in the Abyss still comprises a Fourth-Ring Energy Furnace."

"Abyssal Wizards require using the Abyssal Bloodline, and constructing an Abyssal Sun covering the entire layer with the Five-Ring Energy Furnace would destroy the place where Demons are born."

"I see." Francis nodded in understanding, then said: "However, compared to cultivating Mechanical Wizards, the research on the Fourth-Ring Energy Furnace is still of lesser importance. That's why I had Ernie focus purely on the Small Energy Furnace and not be distracted by the Large Energy Furnace."

"Indeed, cultivating Mechanical Wizards is of utmost importance, but the research on the Large Energy Furnace doesn't necessarily have to be done by Ernie."

Lor said with a smile, "The other youngsters at the Energy Furnace Research Institute, though not as outstanding as Ernie, are still considered geniuses."

"Having a part of them continue from the breakthrough direction Ernie made might lead someone to a serendipitous inspiration, you never know?"

With five hundred years left till the Plane Era opens, he didn't want to waste it. Gaining more Fourth-Ring wizards would be beneficial as well.

"Alright, we'll proceed as you suggested," Francis nodded.

...

The grand banquet of the Wizard Calendar year 1000 lasted for a whole month before it dispersed, during which a session of the Grand Council was held, making some long-term plans for the next century.

For instance, having Ernie allocate a small part of the Energy Furnace research wizards to investigate the Large Energy Furnace was one of the topics passed at this Grand Council meeting.
