A small part of Philip had actually considered the theory that this was the work of magic. There wasn't any form of technology that Philip could think of that would allow you to control wind to this extent! But Philip had thrown away that theory because it just didn't make any sense! How in the world was magic even a thing!? There was no such thing as magic, for fuck's sake!

"You know, I'm going to charge you extra for making me waste my time like this. I told you I had to be somewhere in ten minutes, and that was thirty minutes ago. Do you think my time is cheap?"

A bored voice came from within the wind, and Philip narrowed his eyes as a man began to walk out of it. The man was dark-skinned, and he had a black sleeping mask tied around his dreadlocks. He was tall and built, and there was a strange confidence about him that told Philip that this was not someone he should take lightly. This man knew how to fight, and he was very good at it, too. Philip cocked his gun and pointed it at the man's forehead before speaking up.

"Who the fuck are you? Are you one of Silas' dogs?"

The dreaded man turned to Philip in annoyance once he heard him say "Silas' dog" and he spoke up with an irritated tone.

"Call me this bastard's dog again and I'll skin you alive where you stand."

Philip's frown deepened when he heard this, and he felt a strange pressure filling the room and warning him about approaching this man! Philip knew that one wrong step here could mean his death!

"Jonas! Just fucking kill him! Kill him and I'll pay you whatever the fuck you want!"

Silas suddenly shouted at the dreaded man from behind Philip with a sneer on his face, and Philip quickly turned around and fired a shot straight into Silas' leg!

Bang!

"ARGH! FUCK!"

Silas screamed as he held his bleeding leg in pain, but Philip didn't have time to react before he was suddenly assaulted with an intense wind that tore through the air! Philip was thrown off his feet, and he grunted as he felt his back slam into the wall on the other side of the room! The wind was literally moving like it had a mind of its own, and at this moment, Philip didn't have any reason not to believe that this was some supernatural event!

Was this what the boss had been warning Philip about? Risa told Philip that Dante wanted him to watch out for any supernatural events, but Philip never even thought for a moment that Dante had been talking about real magic! What the hell was this!?

"Ah, I'm really not in the mood for any of this. I didn't even plan to use my abilities until I started my main job, so this is going to cost you a freaking arm and a leg. If I don't walk out of here with at least two million dollars, then I'm taking your fucking liver, Silas. Now, all you bastards have seen me use my Djinn ability, so unfortunately, I can't let any of you get away. I'll be killing you now."

Jonas had his hands in his pockets as he spoke in a slow drawl that almost made it look like he was bored out of his mind, and Philip tried to catch his breath as the winds around finally dropped him to the ground! Jonas was walking towards Philip with slow, deliberate steps, and he brought one hand out and pointed it at Philip threateningly.

"You bastard!"

Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!

Someone suddenly shouted from the side and began to open fire on Jonas! The shots were all accurate, and the bullets flew straight for Jonas' head, but Jonas brought out his hand and immediately summoned a dense wind that formed a wall in front of him! The bullets slammed into the wall of wind like they were hitting a fucking wall, and Philip felt his eyes widen in shock when he saw the bullets falling to the ground! None of the bullets even managed to get past the wind wall, so Jonas was completely unharmed! Philip's hand automatically tightened around his gun and he began to wonder what the hell they could do to get out of this situation! This bastard could stop bullets with wind!?

Philip slowly stood up and spoke to Jonas in a calm tone.

"Jonas! Your name is Jonas, right!? I don't know how you fell in with Silas, but from what I've seen, you seem like a reasonable person. Come work for the Lucas family! Anything Silas is paying you, we'll double it! Just name your fucking price! Let's just relax and talk about this!"

Philip knew that this wasn't a fight they were going to get out of with brute force alone! Jonas had the ability to toss people around with wind, and he could even stop bullets, so there was no way regular humans could win! So the only option that Philip had now was to somehow try to bring Jonas over to their side! The Lucas family had more than enough money and prestige to give Jonas anything that he wanted, so Philip was sure that Jonas would accept the deal! After all, Jonas didn't look like he was part of a family, so there was no way he wouldn't be swayed by money! The only thing people like Silas and Jonas responded to was whoever was willing to pay them the most!

Shink! Shink!

Jonas swung his hand towards the left, and Philip watched in shock as two massive wind blades suddenly slashed through the body of the man who had shot him and split the man's body into three parts! The man fell to the ground in a bloody heap, and Philip realized that there was no negotiating with this bastard! It was obvious that Jonas hated the Lucas family too much, so there was no way he was going to work with them! Philip immediately pointed his gun at Jonas to shoot, and Jonas brought his hand up to create another wind wall, but before either of them could do anything, the ceiling exploded, and a boy fell into the building with a mad laugh!

"HAHAHAHA! So this is where you've run to, Jonas! You fucking piece of shit! I'm going to kill you!"

This boy was Jackson, the same person who had been watching over Dante with his partner Kia, and the moment Jonas saw him, his face twisted into a look of pure fury!

"Jackson, you Veratax bastard!"

A massive gale wind suddenly rushed to life in the warehouse and grew into a massive vortex that shot up towards Jackson, and Jackson felt amusement bubble up from deep inside him! Jackson laughed loudly as the wind approached, and he put his hand forward and unleashed his Djinn ability! The building exploded in wind and fire!

KA-BOOM!!

[With Dante]

"So what you're trying to say is that there is a separate world that we don't know about called the Twilight World, and the people in that world are capable of using magic to perform superhuman feats like reading others' minds or shooting fire from their mouths?"

Fredrick's disbelieving voice echoed back Dante's words after Dante had finished giving the explanations about the Twilight World. Dante was sitting in the chair facing the fireplace in the meeting room, and he took a drink of his coffee before humming in confirmation to Fredrick's question. Fredrick immediately shouted.

"How the fuck do you expect anyone to believe this shit! If you're going to lie, at least make it believable!"

Fredrick felt like pulling his hair out! What Dante was saying made no sense at all, and Fredrick thought that Dante was just playing some sort of trick on them. But Harold spoke up from his place at his side, and Fredrick was surprised when Harold actually spoke in support of Dante.

"He isn't lying. The Twilight World is real. I don't think it's even allowed for him to tell you all this, but since you're family, I think it's okay. I'm a Djinn, and I lived all my life in a family that was part of the Twilight World. There are other people like me, and we all exist as part of various organizations in the Twilight World. But I wouldn't advise anyone to want to become a part of that world. If you think your gang fights are intense, then you wouldn't want to be anywhere near a Djinn battle. It's intense enough to destroy entire city blocks if the Djinn are powerful combatants."

Fredrick's face was still scrunched up in surprise, but he finally looked like he was starting to accept some parts of what he had heard. Fredrick knew that Harold and Dante had never met before today, so there was no way both of them could be telling such a well-choreographed lie.
