Arcane Academy: The Divine Extraction Legacy

Chapter 1062: The Scouts

The presence of numerous Immortals from the Elemental Arts Faction completely caught Nyssa off guard.

It was not within her calculations at all.

She expected a few Immortals, but not this many!

She watched the fifteen ritual-marked Fire Immortals surround her forces, as if they were truly strong enough to pin them down or spread out like that.

'You're looking down on us? Or maybe, you're afraid that we'll just escape and wait for your bodies to burn out from that Forbidden Ritual?' Nyssa mused.

She could see their bodies were cracked and unstable… The heat they radiated was real, but it wouldn't last forever.

Behind them, the reanimated corpses of Ice, Water, Wind, and Metal Immortals were also looking at them... Their movements were stiff, but they definitely have those preserved Spell Models still within their bodies.

Since escaping wasn't possible due to the spreading Fire Divinity, they could only choose to fight… Furthermore, the idea of escaping and waiting for them to burn out didn't suit their taste.

They wanted to show that these fake Immortals were nothing to the real ones!

"Advance," Nyssa ordered.

The Chaos Immortals surged forward as they all had the same thoughts.

One cast Void Collapse, detonating the space between them and the Fire Immortals. Another followed with Corrosion Pulse, melting the ground beneath the enemy's feet…

"Let's see how you deal with this…" Nyssa muttered as she looked at the three Fire Immortals who were the first to block them.

According to their intelligence reports, one of them was Theron Pyrestorm. A Grand Arcanist of the Pyrestorm Clan.

She watched as he used "Blaze Serpent Coil."

A pillar flame that tore through the mist, striking two Chaos Immortals and forcing them back. It was not an Immortal Spell but just a high-tier Elemental Arts! But it was still filled with Divinity…

The other two immortals, on the other hand, were from the Brand Clan and Ashveil Clan of the Elemental Arts Faction.

She watched them use Fire Meteor and Phoenix Mantle Spells at the same time.

Once again, they weren't Spells recorded in Evolved Spell Light but normal Spell Lights within an Arcanist body…

But with the Divinity's enhancement, they were still a very terrifying Spell.

The Fire Meteor Spell then crashed into another Chaos Immortal who dared to face it head-on!

The Phoenix Mantle Spell, on the other hand, seemed to be a normal mantle made of feathers, but it exploded on impact and scattered the Chaos formation!

Seeing these reckless and explosive Spells, Nyssa cast Wither Field, draining Divinity from the air. Two Fire Immortals collapsed instantly, their bodies unable to hold the unstable energy.

"Flame Domain…" Theron countered, expanding his aura to push back the corruption.

"Ember Pulse…" The Immortal from the Brand Clan added, disrupting the Chaos formation again.

The reanimated Ice Immortals cast Frost Cage, freezing three Chaos Immortals mid-step.

Water Immortals followed with Pressure Lance, piercing through the frozen targets.

Wind Immortals summoned vortexes that lifted enemies into the air.

Metal Immortals impaled them with Iron Bloom.

The battlefield had become so chaotic with so many Immortals involved in the battle!

Nyssa didn't even have the time to give orders and just trusted her subordinates not to get overwhelmed by the Fake Immortals!

"Collapse their center," The Ashveil Immortal shouted…

"Phoenix Dive." She then launched herself into the air and crashed into the enemy line, incinerating two more.

The Chaos Immortals retaliated.

One cast Chaos Rend, slicing through a Fire Immortal's chest. Another used Void Spear, impaling a reanimated corpse and detonating its core.

At this point, Theron was already noticing that his body was collapsing... He had to undo the Immortal Ascension if he wanted to at least keep his life.

His body started cracking further, and he must quickly make a decision... "I'm losing control…"

The Brand Immortal grunted… "I'm prepared to die here."

At this point, there were already nine Fire Immortals that had fallen. Their bodies couldn't sustain the Divinity.

Then, eleven reanimated corpses were destroyed. Some are shattered by Chaos Spells, while others have collapsed from internal instability.

Still, six Chaos Immortals were dead. Burned, frozen, pierced, or overwhelmed. Their formations were broken and their Chaos Divinity was broken by the immense Fire Divinity of the Elemental Arts Faction.

Nyssa retreated. Her left arm was gone, but she wasn't worried about this. It could be easily regenerated as long as she had enough Divinity.

"Fine… Let's wait for them to burn out."

She then cast Decay Shift and vanished into the mist.

The remaining Chaos Immortals also regrouped. They were already injured and knew that they had enough…

As much as they wanted to show how overwhelming they were, they couldn't just continue fighting against some Fake Immortals who had nothing to lose.s

Although they realized it late and sacrificed a few of their members, they at least knew that they couldn't remain stubborn.

***

While the battlefield burned and the Chaos Immortals retreated, a pair of eyes watched all of this from a safe location…

One of them was Lisa's Vampire Knight. He had been stationed there since the beginning. His orders were simple… To observe, record, and report. The Shadow Domain needed accurate data about the situation happening around the continent, so various scouts had been sent to gather information.

He had seen everything.

The arrival of the Fire Immortals. The eruption of Fire Divinity. The collapse of unstable bodies. The reanimated corpses rising from the ground and the chaos that followed.

He didn't interfere and just noted everything that had happened…

Then he turned away to retreat and report.

Farther south, Agent Axe of the Arcane Bureau had taken a different route… He had instead sent his Summons to observe the battle from a distance.

Unlike the Vampire Knight with incredible stealth abilities, Axe only had his summons he could rely on.

"I didn't expect that Elemental Arts Faction to be so strong… I wonder if the other Factions were also this terrifying…"

Agent Axe sighed as he realized that their Arcane Bureau wasn't as informed as he had thought.
