Arcane Academy: The Divine Extraction Legacy

Chapter 1063: The Factions

The continent stirred as the news of the Elemental Arts Faction's Holy Land being attacked spread faster than expected.

Over fifty Chaos Immortals had descended on the region, aiming to overwhelm and subjugate them. But the Elemental Arts Faction had responded with desperation, and they actually managed to fight back and avoid getting annihilated in the process!

It was big news for everyone!

They learned that their hidden Grand Arcanists fused forbidden Spells to force Immortal Ascension. Furthermore, their preserved Immortal Ancestors were also forcefully awakened to assist in their battle…

Because of that, more than thirty Elemental Immortals had fought back, catching the Chaos Immortals off guard. No one had expected even two Immortals to exist in that Faction.

The Chaos Immortals may have won in the end, but they paid for it. Several of their members died. The Holy Land was destroyed and couldn't be used anymore.

Aside from weakening the Elemental Arts Faction, he had no gains or trophies they could use since the Holy Land was also destroyed in the process.

Of course, the spread of this news wasn't an accident. It was deliberately done by the Arcane Bureau to give hope to everyone.

"Fifty Chaos Immortals failed to take a single Holy Land?"

Priestess Helena of the Holy Arts Faction lowered the scroll in her hands as she read the news.

"And they awakened their Immortal Ancestors. They were actually forced to do that…" Priestess Helena muttered as she looked at her daughter, Mira, who had given her the news.

Mira was a student of the Marshall Academy within the Academy.

After graduating, she was now considered a Dark Arcanist focused on Corruption Magic. However, because of the Philosopher's Elixir that had been given to her, she was also able to practice Holy Arts…

"Did you hear any news from Armin?" Helena asked.

She was already aware that Armin, Mira's friend in the Academy, was the Shadow Immortal's disciple, after all.

But Mira shook her head at this.

"He was only told to stay within the Shadow Domain. I have no idea about their plans." She replied.

Helena could only nod as she looked in the direction of the gazebo outside the main building…

There was a graceful woman resting in the area, and it was Farah, one of the Fortune Goddess's avatars, who had been sent to this world.

"Mhmm… The Chaos Immortals should be cautious in their movements from now on." Helena muttered.

"Yes… I'm sure they'll no longer underestimate any of the Faction's Holy Land after this." Mira muttered.

However, the problem was the fact that the Chaos Immortals could gather up to 300 Immortals.

The Holy Lands could never match that unless they all started working together and attacked the Chaos Immortal's base... But no one would ever suggest that to happen for many reasons.

In the meantime, within the war chambers of the Knights Faction, six Grand Knights who were leading the faction had gathered.

"They were brave…" Knight Rhoan said as he read the battlefield report.

"They were reckless. But it should scare the Immortals even for a bit." Knight Vel replied as he knew that the desperate move by the Elemental Arts Faction was a wake-up call to the enemies. However, he was still worried about their situation.

To be honest, they do not have any Immortal Knight with them!

Perhaps, they were the only faction without any Immortal Ancestor that they could rely on. At the very least, this was the reason why they kept their honor and reputation to be viewed by the masses as one of the most influential and powerful factions on the surface.

"We should continue monitoring…"

Rhoan and Vel were still surprised that the Elemental Arts Faction would have that much power. Currently, their Faction only has 16 Grand Knights!

They also do not have the method to advance their level to an Immortal, unlike the other Factions.

Perhaps, even a couple of Chaos Immortals would be more than enough to deal with them!

The room fell silent as they looked at the cloaked figure.

Apparently, the report had been delivered by this figure standing near the entrance. He hadn't spoken since entering and was only monitoring them.

He was Sir Dren, one of Lisa's Vampire Knights.

He had arrived at dawn, carrying the sealed scroll from the Shadow Domain, and no one questioned its authenticity.

Rhoan turned to him. "You saw it yourself?"

"I did see the memory of the messenger…" Dren replied.

"More than thirty Elemental Immortals fought against fifty Chaos Immortals. The Holy Land was destroyed, but the Chaos forces failed to secure anything."

Vel sighed at this, not because of the news but because of the voice that the Vampire Knight was using.

Apparently, Dren was previously a Grand Knight but had been sentenced to death after committing an unforgivable crime against some unborn child…

Seeing Dren become a Vampire Knight made him feel uncomfortable… There was an urge in him to cut off the man's head.

After taking a deep breath to calm his mind, Vel asked…

"What does the Shadow Domain want?"

"Nothing… We're just coordinating…" Dren said almost instantly.

"Lisa has already sent envoys to the Rune Arts Faction, the Summoning Arts Faction, and others... The Psychic Arts Faction is also involved. We're gathering data. We're preparing for the next strike."

"You're preparing something? Is there something we can help you with? Ahem… We don't have immortals on our side, but we're sure that the Chaos Beasts would not be a problem.

"I will let you know if the Shadow Domain wants something… For now, Lady Lisa just expects you to prepare. She expects you to coordinate. She expects you to stop pretending that your walls will hold if you stand alone."

Rhoan nodded slowly. "Then tell Lisa we'll cooperate as much as we can…"

Being the weakest among all the Arcane Factions, everyone agreed to just follow the strongest force within the continent.

It may lead them to a quick death, but it could also lead them to victory and glory…
