Arcane Academy: The Divine Extraction Legacy

Chapter 1072: New Dragons

The underground ritual chamber of the Shadow Castle was soon filled with draconic energy…

Orden stood at the center of the formation circle…

After taking a deep breath, he raised his hands and adjusted the final draconic rune sequence. The floor beneath him suddenly glowed as he mustered his strength to activate the runes…

If any Runemaster saw these runes, they would surely start worshipping the Dragon in order to obtain it. These draconic runes weren't something that should exist in this human realm after all. These runes are something that the Dragons themselves could only possess.

Most of these runes were meant to connect the Human Realm to the Dragon Realm.

Ryzoir paced nearby, his expression tense. He had done most of the preparations, and the Orden just needed to connect it to the other side…

Soon, the passage was nearly ready.

Constance, Magnus, Lisa, and Vale's Avatar stood at the edge of the chamber, watching in silence. None of them spoke. They knew this wasn't just a summoning, it was a calculated risk.

After all, the behavior of the Dragon on the other side might not be that great.

Orden lowered his hand and soon, he was ready… "The coordinates are locked. The leyline is stable."

Ryzoir stepped forward. "Then we open it."

The two dragons activated the core formation together. A ring of light expanded from the center of the chamber, forming a vertical gate…

This gate started shimmering with golden mist, and they could also hear some faint draconic roars!

Whum~

Soon, within the gate, they noticed the projection of the other side, revealing a wide cliffside in the Dragon Realm.

Dozens of dragons stood there, their elemental auras casting long shadows across the stone.

Some hovered in the air, others perched on ledges, watching silently.

Ryzoir stepped forward…

Even without an introduction, they recognized that Ryzoir was a Dragon in a human form.

Before he could speak, however, the dragons on the other side released a wave of energy that passed through the gate as if they were inspecting the chamber.

Of course, even with their Divine Sense, they wouldn't be able to observe the situation outside this castle…

Soon, Ryzoir spoke.

"I know you don't know me. I'm Ryzoir. I was born in the outer rings of the Ur Chandra Basin. I've lived most of my life in that place before I visited this human realm. It's been a while, but I've never forgotten what it means to be a dragon."

The dragons didn't respond, but several of them turned their attention to Ryzoir and Orden. They could sense their lineage, even in human form.

Orden spoke next. "I'm Orden from the same Basic. We're not here to speak for humans. We're speaking for the balance between realms."

A silver-scaled elder leaned into view, his wings folded neatly behind him. "Then speak clearly."

Orden nodded. "Chaos Immortals have begun to spread... They're planning to fully control this Human Realm with their powers. You all know the history of Chaos Immortals. They were beings who only wanted to create chaos in whatever Realm they had set their eyes on. In the future, it might include the Dragon Realm."

Ryzoir added, "Void Immortals are moving too. Quietly and strategically... They're not attacking yet, but they're watching us."

A crimson-scaled dragon growled. "And you want us to fight your war?"

"No," Orden said. "We want to prevent one. The Shadow Domain is holding for now. But if both factions escalate, we won't last. And if we fall, they would sense the connection we had... and set their eyes in the Dragon Realm as well. Why not prevent the war here with us. Even if a fight broke out, it would not happen in the Dragon Realm but here in the Human Realm."

The dragons went silent as they turned among themselves. They were probably discussing what they should do in this situation.

The silver elder then spoke again. "You're asking us to enter a sealed realm. What do we gain?"

The elder was definitely aware that the Human Realm was sealed by the Timeless King… Passing through it would offend the latter. If that was the case, they must obtain something…

But Ryzoir didn't hesitate. "A land rich with resources and energy… We both know that the Dragon Realm is getting cramp... If you help us, the Shadow Immortal will allow the Dragons to settle in the southern and northern continents. If you find a better land elsewhere, we can consider some negotiations at a later date…"

Orden coughed and continued.

"We do not have much time… I can only add that the matter with the Timeless King can be ignored. The passage we created is safe."

Another pause…

They seemed to be deliberating.

Thankfully, as Orden and Ryzoir were losing hope, eight dragons stepped forward.

"We'll go," the silver elder said. "But the passage is narrow. We won't fit."

Orden nodded. "Transform. Either to human form or a compressed variant. You'll regain full access once anchored."

The eight dragons shifted. They all decided to be in humanoid forms after seeing Orden and Ryzoir…

Just like that, Ryzoir activated the gate. A ring of light expanded from the center of the chamber, forming a clear path…

Whom~

One by one, the dragons stepped through.

The chamber trembled slightly with each arrival, but the formation held.

Watching from the edge were Constance, Magnus, Lisa, and Vale's Avatar.

Constance gulped as she saw this happen… "Eight. That's more than I expected."

Magnus nodded. "They understand what's coming."

Lisa studied the arrivals. "Their aura density is high. We'll need to reinforce the inner chamber… We can't let the others know we have ten Dragons hiding here."

Vale's Avatar remained silent, his gaze fixed on the gate.

He didn't speak, but the pressure around him kept the room stable.

Once the last dragon crossed, Ryzoir sealed the gate…

Orden turned to the newcomers. "Welcome to the Shadow Domain. You'll be briefed shortly. For now, rest and anchor yourselves. The Realm will adjust."
