Arcane Academy: The Divine Extraction Legacy

Chapter 1073: Unexpected

The chamber had settled after the gate was closed, but the pressure hadn't faded with the presence of the eight humanoid dragons.

They started adjusting to the Shadow Domain's atmosphere. Their elemental auras were restrained, but not hidden.

Each one radiated a distinct signature, and their presence shifted the balance of the room.

Then, almost in unison, their gazes turned toward Vale's Avatar.

"Hmm?"

The Avatar hadn't moved. He hadn't even spoken. However, they could tell that something was special about him…

Even in the form of an Avatar, his presence was heavier than the others. Not oppressive, just undeniable. The kind of weight that came from high authority or those with refined power.

The silver-scaled… or perhaps silver-haired human, stepped forward first.

His humanoid form was tall, with pale blue eyes.

"You're the leader of this place, I suppose…" he said. "Even as an avatar, you carry more pressure than the rest."

Vale's Avatar nodded. "I'm here to observe. My real body remains elsewhere."

The dragons exchanged glances, then began introducing themselves.

"I am Veyrith…" said the silver-haired elder said. "Ancient Wind Dragon. I speak for the Skyward Peaks."

Hearing this, Vale recalled that Orden, was an Ancient Rune Dragon, while Ryzoir was an Ancient Flame Dragon…

"Arun…" said a broad-shouldered man with crimson eyes. "Ancient Earth Dragon."

"Zerel…" said a lean figure with a moustache… It was quite a remarkable appearance. "Ancient Lightning Dragon. From the Tempest Spine."

The others were Ravion, an Ancient Ice Dragon, Draze, an Ancient Shadow Dragon, and there was also Varnyx, an Ancient Metal Dragon…

As for the last two, they were actually female dragons. They were Lylia and Ash… They were both Ancient Nature Dragons.

Orden and Ryzoir stood silently nearby as they listened to their introductions.

Then Veyrith spoke again. "Now that we've seen you clearly… There's no doubt that you're special. We agreed to support your territory not only to get land, but because of another request we have in mind..."

Vale's Avatar tilted his head slightly.

"Some of us," Veyrith continued, "carry bindings. Curses… They were old ones from the Draconic Wars. From the Timeless King's seals. From failed pacts."

Arun added. "They are multiple seals that no Dragons or other immortals could remove... It was mixed with Divine interference."

Zerel stepped forward. "Can you remove them?"

Vale's Avatar didn't answer immediately.

Then he nodded. "Yes. But only my real body can do it. This avatar can't channel that level of purification."

Of course, Vale was not talking about purification, but it was extraction… With his control over his Divine Extraction, he knew that there wouldn't be any problems extracting or removing whatever curse or bindings they had.

As long as they didn't resist the System's Divine Extraction, there was no way he'd fail at all.

Lylia felt excited after seeing Vale's confidence.

After all, they just mentioned that it was related to the Timeless King's Curse. Furthermore, the fact that even Dragons like them couldn't do anything about it showed how serious it was.

Vale must be relying on something…

"Even if it's High Draconic Curses?" She asked.

Vale's Avatar met her gaze. "Yes."

The room fell silent. They couldn't help but feel excited about this.

Then Varnyx exhaled. "Then we'll be looking forward to meeting your original body. If the Shadow Immortal can cleanse what others couldn't… We'll stand with him."

Vale's Avatar smiled as he knew that the Dragons could be trusted…

"I'll inform my body. When the time comes, you'll be called."

The dragons nodded. Just like that, the Dragons immediately felt that it was worth it to join the war within this human realm.

After the introductions were complete and the chamber finally became quiet as the eight dragons were escorted to their temporary estate within the Shadow Domain.

The estate had been prepared in advance. It was a secluded compound near the eastern part of the castle.

Needless to say, several Formation Arrays placed by Orden himself were protecting the estate. The estate itself wasn't extravagant, but it was spacious, quiet, and tuned to accommodate high-density energy signatures.

Each dragon was given a private chamber, a meditation hall, and access to the outer gardens where they could adjust to the Realm's pressure.

Vale's Avatar had personally approved the location.

Once the dragons departed, the tension in the ritual chamber finally began to ease.

Odessa exhaled first, her shoulders visibly relaxing.

"I thought one of them was going to challenge us or something."

Well, Ryzoir actually warned them about that possibility, so she was truly ready for a fight.

Constance nodded while rubbing her temple. "They weren't hostile, but their presence alone was overwhelming. But still, they were a little bit pressured by the Will of the Realm. Although we did our best. They could only show about 80% of their strength."

"That's still a lot better compared to others..." Lisa added. "Right, I was fine until Ravion looked directly at me. That Ice Dragon's gaze felt like it could freeze my soul."

Odessa chuckled. "You held up well. Honestly, if Vale hadn't been here, I think we would've cracked."

Constance sighed. "Agreed. His presence kept the room balanced. Even the dragons respected him."

She then looked at the spot where Vale's Avatar was previously standing.

The Avatar had already left, but they were still thankful for his presence.

Constance straightened and dusted off her sleeves. "Alright. Enough tension. I need coffee."

Odessa raised an eyebrow. "Now?"

"Yes," Constance said. "My Arcane Tower has a quiet lounge on the third floor. I renovated it myself!"

Lisa smiled. "I'm in."

Odessa nodded. "Lead the way. I'm sure that those dragons will challenge us once they're ready… So let's relax for today."

"Heh~ I won't back down on that… But that should be three versus one to be fair." Constance added with a laugh.

The three women exited the chamber together…

With their speed, it didn't take that long before they arrived at Constance's Arcane Tower, where they saw an unexpected visitor waiting for them…
