Behind him, thirty Sacred Knights knelt in formation. They were clad in silver armor etched with the mark of the Church of the Three Paragons. They were the best knights of the church. However, they were not trained for war, but for the purification of evil spirits and such…

"Sir Adam," one of the knights spoke. "Should we intervene in the battle?"

"No," Adam replied. "Clovis City is not our concern. The dragons, the Chaos Immortals, even the Shadow Domain… they're distractions."

He turned to the knights and reminded them.

"Our target is Mennena. She must not obtain a body or attempt to even ascend. If she succeeds, she'll challenge the Will of the Realm itself."

The knights remained silent and nodded.

To be honest, they believed that if they worked together with the Shadow Domain, they would have a bigger chance to succeed.

After all, they had already failed so many times.

Still, Adam's words were absolute, and they couldn't question them. At the very least, none of them had died under his command. It means that his leadership was still undeniable.

Adam then turned back his attention to the battle…

Merlin chuckled. "Mennena's mind is not something I've ever understood. She's not just a spirit, she's an Arch Fey…"
